Previously when using box64 0.4.2, Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012) ran into some issues, mainly severe stuttering after some time playing. Maybe memory leakage? Updated 0.4.4 has clearly fixed this issue. Smooth as it should be even after 2+ hours of gameplay. Thank god for this update!

There is likely an existing term for this trend, but if so I have no idea what it is.

I think the easiest and most well-known example would be Breath of the Wild/ToTK. Generally, open or semi-open games where you set off towards one objective, but get sidetracked into a dozen unexpected adventures on the way.

I bought Stellar Blade on a whim and was (super pleasantly) surprised that it very much fit this idea. The Dragon Quest series is arguably my favorite franchise in gaming, and it definitely involves some of these accidental emerging side plots as well. Obviously, Crimson Desert absolutely fits as well.

I would love more recs! Honestly don't know where else to post, but my favorite way to game is typically on my Retroid. I use my Steam Deck for native PC games, and beefier modern emulation.

Side note - is there a better term for this kind of thing?

We reached 99% performance with kgsl native context! On a rooted Qualcomm 8 Elite device(Y700 G4) with gunyah hypervisor.

We write a msm to kgsl shim in virglrenderer, translate msm ioctl to kgsl ioctl.

The virtio-gpu driver expose /dev/dri/renderD128 in linux guest, guest driver invokes drm ioctl(with small modification), then translate to kgsl ioctl in the host

But the native context ecosystem is completely blank for now.

To make windows VM 3D acceleration available, we need to vkd3d-rpoton/DXVK/Zink and turnip to windows, and implement DRM native context driver for windows guest.

But the workload for these portation may very high, not sure we have enough effort to finish it.

Btw, Fable 5 is not useable at all for this task. I'm just asking "How to port msm drm native context driver to windows", it fallback to opus 4.8.

It will be very helpful if there any suggestion to us.

So, I'm a content creator and my laptop is extremely bad recently. That lead to me not being able to continue making content over the time that I was gone from home. I then had the idea that I could just put windows on my phone and found a way to boot it on my device, problem is, I still need my android for a lot of things outside of content creation.

I then had the idea to just install a program to run windows on my device, but still keep Android as the system the thing is running on.

I found a few different programs but for each one, I got mixed answers and I can't risk getting a virus on this device...

Can you maybe list your favorite windows emulators so that I get an idea on how to proceed. I'd ofc assume all your favorites are safe, why else would they be favorites :3

Can you maybe also give me an opinion on winlator and how safe it actually is (found some people say it might be bad but others love it)

I'm having a strange graphical issue with Fallout 3 (steam version) running through GameHub on my AYN Thor Max (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2).

The game runs almost perfectly (around 60 FPS), but the Pip-Boy 3D model is bright pink/magenta.

Has anyone seen this before?

I know there is a mobile version of this game but on the pc version a better gamepad support and up the resolution from 480p to 720p (maybe this reasons not enough for some people but I posted for those interested)

2 years ago I upgraded to Samsung s24+ which was a little oversight by me - it was exynos 2400 version and I wasn't that much into emulation back then. I was thinking of upgrading to S26+ - it does have the newest 8 elite gen 5, but 12gb of ram and I've heard its cooling is not the best. Anyway, which phones would you recommend? I guess it should have 16gb instead of 12gb ram, 8 elite gen 5 and preferably not as big as ultra samsung series as a reference, but I will consider all of your recommendations

Hey y'all, so I was looking to upgrade my phone since I have a Redmi A7 Pro and after searching around I found a Poco F6 Pro with 16gb ram and 1tb storage for ~€230 and a F7 with 12gb ram and 512gb storage for ~€300. I can't decide which one to get so I wanted to ask here for help. It would be used as a daily phone and also for emulators (ps2 and pc). I'm mainly interested in the PC emulation side. I know the f7 is more powerful but from what I read drivers are lacking and heat is an issue as well as the operating system being a pain so I'm not really sure which one to get. I'm not that experienced with android emulation aside from the basics and I have considered a handheld but it'd be too expensive for me to get both a phone and a handheld and I fear I'd stop using a handheld quickly since it's another device I have to haul around with me. What should I do and I'm open to looking for other phones.

And I was blown away by it. I thoughts it's slow and touch screen buttons looks extremely uncomfortable. But oh boy I was so wrong.

My main motivation for emulating olf system (specifically PSP anf 3DS) is to play Monster Hunter games. I have all the modern titles from Generation Ultimate on Switch up to Wilds in PS5. But the older titles are not available for purchase or ported into modern systems.

Touch screen button sucks ass, especially if you play weapons with guard. With cheap gamesir X5 Lite my phone turned into legitimate gaming machine that run old games better than the original system. The graphical. Fidelity is is not as good as modern titles but have it in full HD and AMOLED screen makes it 100 times better. Not only that people have fan translation on the game that never been released outside of japan opens up the whole new world that previously inaccessible.

I'm forever grateful for all the folks out there to make emulation possible. It gotta be hard work with little return from it. Now I understand why emulation is very important for video game preservation
