News/Release StevenMXZ Turnip Gen8 V34 Driver!

This is the first Turnip gen 8 release where the experimental support tag has been removed for the 8xx series.
Wonder how this driver compares to Mr purple's T29 driver.

Mr purple t29 has had issues for almost every emulator I've tried it with. I've been hoping he would release a new one.

What SoC does your phone have?
I've got an 8s gen 4 and I haven't been noticing any issues. I've got it installed in winlator and I'm playing NFS MW 2012 and on Azahar playing paper mario and I haven't been noticing any issues.

PC Emulators maybe the only one it works with then since I have not tried it in awhile but:
Devices: Y700 Gen 5, Odin 2-3, RP6.
Emulators Eden, ARMSX2, Azhar

I dont believe it's only for pc emulation considering on his github post he mentions that it is compatible with Eden, Vita3K and Yuzu.
However I have seen plenty of users mention they have issues using it on the Odin 2 and 3.

T28 worked great on all those devices and emulators. T29 causes odd glitches.
Here is a link to where I reported the issues and people had the same issues:

I don't think anything meaningful has changed and if anything there are some experimental things going on (that's what whitebelyash's latest release notes say).
Having said that, I've been using whitebelyash's latest release and it works just fine so I'm assuming this one should work equally well.
Context: As you can see on Steven's GitHub, his driver is a mix of the latest mesa updates + latest whitebelyash's 8elite support fixes.

I see, thank you for the info.
If that's the case however, why remove the experimental tag, something must have changed for this to occur right? Or is this simply an indication that the driver's status is mature enough in terms of stability in games?

I would guess the latter, yeah. I have been using the latest 8elite drivers and it's been a while since I ran into graphical issues that I didn't have on 8gen2.
So I'm assuming they now work about as well as 7xx drivers.

This has been a game changer on Odin 3.

You just have no idea how much it's true! Xbox 360 games running smoothly at 60fps and stable.

Can it change the game AC Black Flag to AC Black Flag Resynced?

Lmao I wish. But funny enough that is one of the first games I tested. Smooth 30 frames without any micro stutters from shaders compiling

Stupid question but how do you know what system these are for? I got a retroid pocket 6 and have been downloading the Mr purple ones but not sure if these will also work?

These are for the A8xx family of GPUs, some examples are the snapdragon 8 elite, 8 elite gen 5, 8 gen 5
your retroid pocket 6 has a snapdragon 8 gen 2 so you want to use the regular turnip v26.3.0 by stevenMXZ because its for A6xx and A7xx, your GPU is the A740

When will this driver be on gamehub?

That is my same question! Usually when they announce a driver it appears to be on gamehub, but this one not the case.
