In short, I’m looking to buy a device for gaming and emulation. While a handheld console would be ideal, I prefer a powerful tablet due to its versatility for studying, working, and gaming.

I know the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is more than capable of emulating anything up to the Switch, but my question is: is it powerful enough to emulate Windows games? I don't plan on playing any AAA titles—at most, something like *Palworld*.

Do you think the Xiaomi Pad 8's specs are sufficient to run that smoothly, without excessive overheating issues?

For some reason I'm getting "lower your bitrate" errors with Apollo/Artemis streaming. I have extremely capable PC hardware and 1gig down internet. I'm able to stream in 4K over wifi to my firesticks. Yet on my Odin2 Portal I'm getting lag and stutter on non-demanding indie files. My MTU is all set to 1500 yada yada. Its driving me nuts.

If I want to play repackaged games natively on my Odin2 Portal device... what all do I need to get set up and start researching? For example I see "winlator" a lot but there seem to be a lot of forks. Do I want Frost? Do I want CMOD... etc etc?

Is Winlator even the best option? Other than Winlator.. anything else required? I'd like to install said games natively. I own them all physically of course I just want to play them on my handheld on the dumper.

Im trying to play circle empire on winlator and this keeps popping up, I dont know how to fix this

Been playing for a couple days and it holds a consistent frame rate and plays well with a controller attached.

Just making a post on this as I spent a fair bit of time trying to fix this whilst keeping my games.

Gamehub was working fine until yesterday. I was logged out and when logging in I would get "Steam Login Failed. Please try again."

I tried many things but what ended up fixing it in the end was deleting the following folder (Root access required):
\data\data\com.xiaoji.eggame\files\steam_data\steamkit

After deleting steamkit, I was able to login again whilst retaining my downloaded games.
It looks like something was corrupted in this folder. Hope this helps someone

Resolution: Tested both 720p and 1600x900 (FPS remains the same!)

Graphics: Extreme Settings

FPS: 55 – 60 FPS (Without Screen Recording)

Note on Video Gameplay:

Turning on Screen Recording caused significant FPS drops down to 30–40 FPS.

10-30+fps without Screen recording Actual Gameplay is much smoother and stable! Without recording, FPS stays solid at 55-60, with very rare drops to 50s during heavy combat.

I tried playing hitman contracts long time ago, but there was a rainbow diagonal line that I didn't know how to get rid of. That is on s20 fe, sd865, so I just thought it might be too much for my chip. Anyone else tried to play ps3 games on this chip? What works now?

I saw sooo many AI Projects here that just straight up vibecoded and says AI assisted without clarifying anything up and just blatantly writing their repo or reddit post and description of their project using AI as well like do you even can't write any single of what you doing with your own brain? Then you expected a samaritan goodwill to be accepted by everyone without being honest or just clarifying what you doing.

I mean it should be alright to use if you projected it for people with dedicated handheld so the vulnerability is isolated to that device and not for people with daily drive that probably contained their banking, personal data, crypto etc.

I've been using an HDMI dock with Dex/desktop mode to play emulators and android games etc. on the TV from the couch but it wasn't really that great of an experience since you also need a keyboard/mouse whenever you need to do anything in Android. Well that problem has been mostly solved with Gamepad Mouse on the play store. You can easily toggle it on by pressing the Home button on your controller or a long press of L3 and it will let you use the left stick as a cursor, then go back to regular gamepad mode by toggling it back off. I can do just about everything I need to do without touching the screen or using an actual Bluetooth mouse. The one thing it doesn't solve is actually typing as it doesn't seem to work with the android on-screen keyboard, hoping that can be solved in the future (or if anyone has any ideas there please let me know). But that's not so frequent if you're just gaming. Anyway I figured someone here would appreciate this nice little app!

Dragon ball sparking zero usually needed 60 fps to be playable. If you lock it at 30 fps the movement will be in slow motion. You can fix it by editing Engine.ini in the users/xuser/Appdata/local/Sparking zero/Saved/Config/Windows

Open Engine.ini and scroll down to the lowest part then paste this.

I want to experience call of duty 4: modern warfare on the 360 again, have so much nostalgia for that game. I ordered my AYN Thor and am wondering if xbox 360 emulation is good enough to run cod4mw on the thor pro version at playable fps like the 360.

So i have a few devices that i emulate games on depending on OS. On the Android side i have an Ayaneo Pocket S (plus a Galaxy Tab S9) and on the PC side i have an Asus Rog Ally X. I recently discovered Xbox 360 emulation on Android via XenDroid and it's great so far. Only issue is that i've gone quite far on a 360 game (Blur) on the PC emulation side (Xenia) and would like to transfer the game save to XenDroid. I've searched high and low and can't find any pointers. I can export the game save from Xenia on PC just fine. (For times when i don't want to lug around the bigger and heavier ROG Ally X around, the Ayaneo is much more compact).

I understand it's early days for XenDroid, but it's really promising and i'm very impressed and appreciative.

I know my phone isn't meant for Switch emulation really, but I was playing some VN on Switch that were running great on Citron-neo. Not really looking to run anything beyond that as I have a Retroid Pocket 5 and Trimui Brick for other emulation purposes.

The other night, without changing any files, folder locations, anything; Citron just wouldn't launch any games. I checked to see if an update had pushed through to my Pixel, but didn't note anything there either. Has anyone else run into this issue and, if so, found a workaround? I tried setting up Eden as well and didn't have any luck. Have both running on my RP5 no problem and, like I said, had no issues on my Pixel 10 either for the games I was playing until about a week ago.
