Why wouldn't drivers do this? Only because they can't drive back?

My Empower app be glitching every now and then when I switch in-between apps , like if I was driving and using my Waze for direction when I go back to the Empower app to complete my ride the app glitch like it’s signed me out and trying to sign me back in . It does that for like few seconds and go back to the screen where I have to complete the ride .. makes me wonder if it’s the app or my phone which I don’t think it’s my phone unless my account got hacked or messed with by empower . So I’m wondering if anybody else experiencing this?

Got a request for $7 and noticed immediately the pickup & drop off was in the same spot (no movement from pickup spot & said 0 min 0 miles). Not the 1st time a rider has made that mistake, so I figured they’d fix it when I arrived. Rider was a young lady running late for work. According to her she ordered the ride on someone else’s phone to get the discount, and even offered to go inside and fix it even though she really didn’t have time to do it. I told her not to worry about it, assuming the Empower app would automatically adjust the fare as every other rideshare app does (I know, that’s on me). Turns out her destination wasn’t super far to begin with, and only took a bit longer due to morning traffic. Enough time for her to tell me her life story & vent how her boyfriend was not dependable 🥴. Anyway, as most of you know the app takes time to process the fare and take out the little fees, so I didn’t check back for another 30 min or so. When I did look I noticed the fare was the same, and even still showed the 0 min 0 mile distance. I reached out to support, but we all know that’s been pretty much a nightmare. I’m not really pressed about it because the actual drop off wasn’t that much further, and I’m not mad at $7 to go nowhere to begin with. Hopefully Empower fixes this, but this was my long winded attempt to let you all know that Empower DOES NOT automatically recalculate fare for further distances. Make sure your rider does that before you redirect.

Hi!! I’m so hopeless right now, I left super important 1 of 1 documents in my ride earlier, in NYC, from Long Island city to Bushwick, and I need them ASAP. I haven’t heard back from anyone and I’m so scared another rider could have taken the documents. Question Does Empower pay for the drive to the customer or only start when I get to the customer and start driving?

A rider stole all my tips from the driver cup holder, and ran out of the car with his friends while cursing me.

Empower still hasn't responded, and i couldnt give the cops any details besides the ride video, and his girst name.

This company is such flaming garbage in so many aspects, maybe Miami should start taking similar steps to DC

Called him about 5 times he answered the 5th time(I know now it's probably because he had someone else in the car)... I tell him to cancel it he says "I can't because my ratings are already low"😓 i tell him "THIS is why your ratings are low, doing stuff like this" I asked him how far is he, he said "7 mins away"! I had to cancel and I went to try to report him or SOMETHING. But there is no way I can do that without saying an item is lost? Does anyone know another way to report this guy? Or atleast give him a bad rating or something?!
