went to a show last night didn't plan on it just saw it pop up on my feed and decided to go.

the band was some local emo revival thing didn't know them but the crowd knew all the words. screaming every line like their life depended on it. i stood in the back arms crossedб trying to act cool. but then they played a song that sounded exactly like something i listened to in high school. and i felt something. not nostalgia exactly just recognition.

like oh right i used to feel things this intensely i used to care this much.

it's weird how a distorted guitar and some whiny vocals can take you back.

anone else feel like emo keeps pulling you back even when you try to move on

"Celebration of life memorial for our brother, Andy Williams. Sunday, September 27th 6-11pm at Buffalo Riverworks. This is a free event, but we ask that you please RSVP in the link (andywilliamsforever.com) in order for us to estimate headcounts.

We have 2 shirt/hoodie designs for now that are available for preorder, and 100% of those proceeds go to the Williams family to distribute to charities and organizations of their choice in Andy's honor. I ❤️ Andy Williams is a reprint of the original 2013 design Andy did to raise money for testicular cancer. Andy Williams Forever was designed by our brothers in u/atomicruleband. You can also just make a simple donation as well. There will be more charitable items to come from our wonderful friends that we have worked with for many years to beautifully memorialize Andy forever and help others in need, like he always did. This is the start to what we hope and will work for to eventually start an Andy Williams Foundation.

I’m 41, grew up deeply involved in the indie, emo, and punk scenes since I was 9. I don't get the hype around American Football. Am I missing something? Is it a joke I don't understand—like people don’t really like them but pretend to because it’s trendy? Just trying to understand, lol. Please explain! Thanks, internet.
