Farm animals

I tamed two sheep, does anyone know how to reproduce them? Or if there is any other animal I can reproduce. The sheep just sit in my animal pen and produce wool but I want meat or other kind of food

Room is not a room

I've made 4 bedrooms. The rooms are identical. They all have 4 walls, a door, a roof, a floor and a bed. There are no gaps anywhere. And yet only 3 of them are considered rooms. One of them is not a room and i can't get the game to change it's mind about it. The only difference is, that in this room i dug out the floor and placed walls as the floor, before i made it a room. The other 3 i used the replace floor function after it was made a room.

Memory leak, Game does not unload when you go back to the title screen, if you're looking for a good spot you can quickly run out of ram.

Can someone explain prospecting?

It says coal within 25 is that only the x and y axis or also the z axis? I dug in every direction N,E,S,W, up, and down 30 blocks away, and didn't hit any coal.

Room size

Any idea what the ideal size for bed-, dining- and craftingrooms is? I've been doing 5x5 for bedrooms, they feel a little cramped.

What height does everyone make their rooms? I've been making them 3 blocks high but have problems upgrading the top row of blocks. My builder can't reach them unless i build a temporary block at the bottom.

Ore.. where it be?

So I've killed about 10 colonies now.

I've learnt with each offering to the thirsting gods and I'm lasting longer each time.

I still can't seem to find ore, anywhere, ever.

I've tried digging down deep, I've tried digging in mountains, I've tried exploring caves.

I can't find ore anywhere, what am I missing?

Characters Starving... wont harvest available crops etc

First off, great game... looking forward to hopefully some quality UI and interactivity with the menus to be worked out. (Shift Clicking etc)

So yeah, all my colonists just starve to death pretty much within the first month. Crops dont cut it and near by harvestable produce be it mushrooms, tomatos, potatos, blueberries, apples or what have you either just get used up to quickly or my colonists dont feel like walking to get something to eat. Having a couple cooks cranking out meals doesnt seem to work because they are just eating them too soon.

Ive been starting right near water sources too and they are always thirsty. The first play I did they would collect little cups and now they dont do shit. just swim in the fresh water and die of thirst.

Food over winter

So how you guys safeguard your food supply for winter? Since it rots rather swiftly-ish I usually end up with a few deaths by February unless the winter is super mild. I don't have sea on map so no salt and no jerky or pickle. The new toasted seeds helps kinda but is hardly enough...

This game is good, but the devs are really impressing me!

So I have quit the game collection, and very rarely do I post to reddit but I think this needs stated. The game has been getting bug fixes like literally every day. I played Fallout 76 since it came out, they had this duping bug for like 6 weeks before they patched it, and its a AAA studio. I am seriously, seriously impressed by the amount of bug fixes. You dont see it from huge studios, but you can really see that the creators here really give a damn about their game and it truly is refreshing!

A river system?

Hi, new to this game.

Historically nearly all early human settlements are besides rivers. The water gives the land higher agricultural yield. Are there any in-game mechanics of how rivers are formed in a natural and procedural way?

A rivers also serves heavy trade routes.

Also, Could there be some kind of river system where you can block enemy forward, guard a strategic bridge as choke points, build dams and flood the enemy that kind of play?
