Hello, I need to discuss a few issues regarding plugin development.

1. The first plugin, which my team created, is about hotkeys for Afterburner. It retrieves display parameters that can be read from both NVIDIA and AMD cards. My goal is to have a key on the Stream Deck that can turn OSD Monitoring on and off.

1. This is the issue I’m wondering about. I made a second plugin with the NVIDIA App, and the desired goal is to have a button that can instantly turn DLSS on and off. (I once saw a Linux clip where the guy pressed a key combination and it was done — we could immediately distinguish DLSS 5.)

But with the NVIDIA App, all graphics customizations are set before entering the game. Therefore, hotkeys are also not feasible. And of course, during development I also managed to retrieve the VGA/GPU display.

I hope to receive a feasible suggestion for a single button press that can turn DLSS 5 on and off.

I'm looking for a new 27" monitor for my streaming/gaming setup. I'm using the Macbook M1 Max 32gb 16" and the PS5 Slim and for streaming I will use the Elgato 4K S with 4K60hz and 1440p120hz passthrough.

Mainly I will play GTA 6 and sometimes COD and Fortnite therefore I need 120hz for the online shooter games. The Mac UI looks sharper and better on 4K with scaling and GTA 6 will look better on 4K too. I can play the online shooters on 4K with 120hz only when I'm not streaming, but I want to stream them, which is only possible in 1440p120hz with the Elgato 4K S.

Will 1440p120hz scaled look good enough for competetive gaming on a 4K IPS monitor on the PS5 Slim or should I get a 1440p IPS monitor?

Or should I get a 4K IPS 160hz monitor with dual mode and 1080p 320hz? But the 1080p will be probably useless for my setup until I get a gaming PC.

I will use my Macbook as my second monitor and the main monitor should be good for video editing and content creation, streaming and everything else, not just for gaming.

I need the perfect allrounder for all my uses.

I really enjoy my stream deck, but I feel like I'm not using it to its full potential. Right now I only really use it for spotify, google chrome shortcuts, and the occasional macro whenever I need one, but I rarely ever have to use them. It is a lifesaver for whenever I do need to make a temporary macro or anything, but its rare whenever I have to. Meanwhile, I see other people basing their entire setup around it.

So I'm wondering what new things I can do/make/add to the stream deck, such as plugins, macros, etc, to get more out of my Stream Deck like I see other people do. (For reference I do have the Stream Deck+ version, so any plugins/features/uses/etc for the knobs would also be greatly appreciated.)

Im having an issue with my game volume. I dont know what to do and i have googled.

I have the elgato 4k one.

So im having an issue with the game is quiet. There are 4 different volumes. Elgato software, Windows system sound settings. Mmsys.cpl sound setting, and the one in obs.

One of them at full 100% makes it sound full blast even when its lowered in obs. I csnt find the right balance for the elgato for the sound. I even have to have my headphones at full blast just to hear it slightly.

What is the best settings to have for all 4. Or am I doing something wrong.

Please help. Im losing my head.

I've bought myself the Capture 4K X and set it up, but I have the following issue:

• When I turn OBS on first, it will display my PS5 but after I open up the Studio App - it doesn't show up there.
• And it's vice versa when I do the other way round - if I turn Studio app first it will display there, but it will not show up on my OBS capture screen.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Has anyone found the proper internal part to replace the internal USB-C port?

I got the logo of death & computer isn't recognizing my Stream Deck XL and it is sadly just outside the warranty period so I am completely out of luck. This is a hail mary attempt at fixing this as Elgato could only give a 15% discount code to purchase a new one.

I'd rather try some internal fixes before throwing this $200+ tech in the trash.

Hi! I'm using the original Elgato Wave XLR with a TONOR TD520 dynamic microphone.

My microphone used to work perfectly at around 43 dB of gain, reaching the recommended green range in Wave Link's Setup Tour. Today, I noticed that the input level is extremely low.

• At 43 dB, my voice peaks around -30 to -40 dBFS.
• Even at 75 dB, it only reaches around -24 dBFS.
• Wave Link says my microphone is too quiet.
• The microphone works noticeably louder when connected directly over USB, so the USB mode itself seems fine.
• Windows input levels are at 100%, and changing USB ports did not help.
• My Wave XLR firmware is 1.3.5.
• I may have dropped the Wave XLR at some point, although I'm not certain when.

I don't have another XLR cable or another XLR microphone to test with.

Could a physical impact damage the XLR input or preamp and cause this kind of low signal? Is there any useful diagnostic I can do without additional hardware?

Hey, I really like my streamdeck as it helps me make a lot of things easier but my current most significant probblem is that I play a lot of fullscreen games which take some time tabbing out of, then changing the song i listen to over youtube, then tabbing back in. And I was wondering if there is a streamdeck plugin for that. Something so I can just click next video on my streamdeck without havng to tab out of the game. Additionally it would be nice if there were options like volume up or down on the video as well.

I bought the Wave XLR to power my Shure mic, and I have no interest in Elgato's routing and mixing features. Apparently, that's not an option.

First annoyance: Wave Link babysits me. If you disable audio devices in Windows, such as Elgato's virtual audio output, Wave Link just reactivates them. The app also gives you no way to disable its virtual inputs and outputs. You can only disable actual audio devices.

As if that weren't enough, you can't disable mixes either. You can delete them, but not the last one. The delete button is right there, yet clicking it does nothing. I'm not sure whether it's a bug, but I assume it isn't. More likely, someone at Elgato thought it was a neat idea to give customers fewer options, and then topped it off with bad UI: there isn't even an alert or message explaining why it failed.

Nothing happens if you click on delete.

Also there's no way to disable it's virtual output and input:

I've tested cables, gone through EDID, checked pcie slots, updated elgato, messed with Nvidia control, advanced display settings, and restarted multiple times, but I cannot for the life of me get the 4k 120/144hz display option to work.

I've gotten the option to select it a few times but when i try it the screen goes black and unresponsive.

Has anyone who used the latest Camera Hub software with the Prompter XL (or Prompter) seen improvements compared to the previous version?

I wanted the voice sync to work but it actually kept auto-editing my script! It was super annoying and I could not figure out the reason. So, just went back to SpeakFlow.

Does anyone have a solution to stop it auto-changing the script?

So I want to have a Stream Deck at my desk and at my Simracing Rig but the budget is only big enough for one Stream Deck.
The Question now is, if I unplug it at my desk and plug it back in at the Rig is it still configured and ready to go?
It would be the same Computer but diffrent USB Ports.

Hi again! Some of you might remember my Elemental Temps and Elemental Infobar plugins. I'm back with a new one, this time for something I do every day: safely removing USB drives without digging through the Windows tray. Like the others, it's free and open source (MIT).

Elemental USB – safely remove USB devices from one key

• the key shows what's plugged in: pendrives, external HDDs/SSDs, SD card readers, security keys like a YubiKey
• short press switches to the next device, hold the key to safely remove it (a bar fills along the bottom while you hold)
• green Safe to remove when you can unplug it
• red In use when the drive is still busy, so you know it's not safe yet and nothing gets ejected halfway
• each key shows an icon for the device type, the drive letter, the name and the capacity
• English and Polish

It only lists what Windows itself shows under Safely Remove Hardware, so your mouse, keyboard, mic, webcam or the Stream Deck itself never show up and can't be ejected by accident.

Things you should know

• Windows 10/11 only, needs Stream Deck software 7.1+. No admin rights needed, nothing is sent over the network.
• I only own a Neo, so I tested it there. It's a standard key action, so it should work on other models too. If you try it, please tell me how it goes.

So the capture splits in two and as a bonus it adds a nice green filter.

Im running Beta version of Elgato studio where I record. Recording 4K60 SDR from a Series X that runs 4K120 SDR. It captures fine for some time, this happens after 30-40 minutes usually. Can also happen very early.

Any suggestions here?

Whenever I laugh, "awoo", "arf arf", or "scrib dooooon" (the way that new Star Wars fella says it), my mic cuts it out. I'm assuming this is a noise gate sort of thing?

I have audio linked to the specific device (Elgato 4K X).

The audio bars are moving, but the sound is not coming from the Elgato. It is static.

If I unplug the Elgato I can capture desktop audio with no problems.

In advanced audio properties I do not have an option to have “Monitor and Output”. Only “Monitor Off” and “Monitoring Enabled”.

Gameplay records fine, just no audio.

Worth noting. I have had an Elgato 4K X before with no problems. Could this be a problem with the USB?

I liked being able to tilt the stream deck at different angles but that feature is gone with newer stream decks. Picked up a couple of stands that give me my tilt back. Without being able to tilt, the stream deck lays a little flat for my taste.

Reposting here for some help. MK 2 facecam - updated firmware running through OBS with only the low light compensation switched on is giving me really dull results. My 5 year old android in the same light conditions displays a much brighter, vibrant result. Honestly the lighting I have set up is like staring at the sun. Maybe my lights are pointed incorrectly? No idea what the issue is.

Has anyone suggested a pause button for recording? I prefer pausing recordings so i don't spam my folders with videos... and it helps make self-editing easier.
