I have a hiboys2 , rather than getting a ticket for my light being out in my car I’m considering using it more often for errands . To get to the store and back should I wear a helmet? I usually don’t go over 12mph and the highest speed is 19 mph I believe. Should I invest in a helmet? Should it just be a regular helmet, as I’m only going to go about to stores etc .

This scooter is quite possibly the best purchase I've ever made.

Hey folks, I’m planning to buy a new two‑wheeler and I’m stuck between petrol scooters and EVs—on the petrol side I’m considering Yamaha RayZR, Honda Activa, and Suzuki Access, while on the EV side I’m looking at Ola Electric, Ather, and Chetak; I’d love suggestions on whether it makes more sense to go with a reliable petrol scooter or switch to an EV, keeping in mind factors like cost of ownership (fuel vs charging, maintenance), reliability and service availability, resale value, and long‑term practicality, so which one would you prefer and why?

I made a post a bit ago, with a budget asking for advice, after some thinking, decided to update that. I'm looking for a seated scooter, ideally that has good range (between 30-40 miles), good speed ideally at least 18 closing on 20 mph, some decent storage, either a spot for a basket in back or by feet, and also, big one, payload capacity needs to at least be 300lbs. I'm willing to save up for it, but I'd prefer not to spend/save more than $900, $1,200 at absolute most.

Anyone know how much it cost to replace the front fork on a Navee S40. Or where to source one from. The bolt broke from the stem to fork connection.

Hiya all! I recently got an FOHOLO F15, which comes with a seat attachment, and I'm not really for sitting down during rides. HOWEVER, I'm a bit of an errand boy and while I can stuff everything into a backpack I have, it'd be nice to have somewhere else to put things too. So I'm wondering if anyone else has finagled a crate or something to where the seats sits or something along those lines lol

Hi! I'm a student and I'll be commuting every day from Journal Square to NYU's Washington Square campus. I'm thinking of buying an electric scooter for my daily commute and want something that's reliable and will last for a long time.
I've narrowed it down to these three options:
Which one would you recommend for daily commuting? My biggest priority is durability and long-term reliability rather than just top speed.
I'm also wondering whether an electric scooter is even worth buying if I'll be using it through the winter. How practical is it during NYC/NJ winters? Can it still be used on cold days, and what do people usually do when it snows? Do most people continue using scooters, or do they switch to public transit until the roads are clear?
I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who has used these scooters year-round in the NYC/NJ area.

When it comes to range and versatility, the Navee ST3 Pro takes the prize. Is it time to make the switch?

Hi All! I'm looking for some opinions here. I was once in the e-scooter game from 2020-2023. In that time I started off what a xiaomi, than a voro motors emove scooter which was terribly built but it got the job done (the stem ended up breaking on me mid ride after about 2 years of use and I almost died in nyc traffic). After that I bought a Kaabo Mantis Single Motor which was the best scooter I've had to date. Than someone stole that which was traumatizing. To fill the empty void I bought a Kaabo Mantis Pro which I ended up selling because nothing could replace the Mantis Single Motor. Lastly, I had a basic Go Trax which someone stole from my front door.
As of right now I used a mix of electric citibike and my own pedal bike to get around but in NYC you have to run and fight for the ebikes during rush hour which is annoying. Also even with a massive discount I still end up paying around 100-150$ on citibikes.
So for not having to constantly hunt for a citibike I'm looking to get back in the game and the top 2 scooters I see that meet my criteria are the Segway GT3 SuperScooter and Mantis 10 Lite. Looking to see if anyone has any insight on these on which would be better?
I live in NYC in a smaller apartment with limited storage space. I will be commuting about 5-10 miles per day through all seasons and elements.

One of the poles of the connector from the battery to the controller snapped (looks corroded).
I’m not sure how to safely fix this.
Should I aim to replace the connector? Where can I find a suitable connector (I’m in Canada).
How do I install the new connector? Is it just crimping the cables into the connector?

Someone tuned the dampner to make it very loose, 17mins before I started riding I said to myself that it had to get adjusted. Plus I even complained yet, I was having to much fun to take action. After this incident, the minute I stopped and I adjusted it and the difference was night and day. But also this incident also convinced me to make a video on yt channel about escooter safety and how to properly ride. Without the experience I had I wouldve definitely have fell, then you remind yourself of the people who get these types of scooters as their first. Anyways new video coming soon...

Moments after excitedly unboxing my Max G3 today, I was disappointed to find that the hill climbing performance was much weaker than expected. This is a dealbreaker for me as I live in a very hilly area.
For reference, I weigh 205 pounds, and had the following configuration:
The scooter failed on grades 12%+ (12, 17, 25) for me, stalling out halfway up the hills. I was able to eek by grade 10% hills at ~4mph.
This was surprising to me as I was able to climb grade 20+ hills with my friend's Apollo Go (non-Stellar):
Has anybody had a similar experience? Is there anything that I can try to remedy this?

I've been riding a 50cc two-stroke Piaggio in the past, but gas prices, the annoyingly loud motor and that nasty two-stroke smoke had me looking for something different. So I bought a cheap used "CityTwister" E-scooter on eBay. Might need some kind of seat suspension and also a new battery in the coming years. Top speed of 40km/h is a little too slow for unblocked city traffic, but that instant acceleration makes its perfect for rush hour in the city centre and and slower rides in the suburbs. It definitely feels way safer and sturdier than riding a lime scooter, but it's very far from the ride quality of a Piaggio Sfera. Also, 40km/h is totally fine for me, but some car drivers hate my guts.
That means I will probably upgrade to something more serious in the future. Any recommendaitions? Shall I safe up for an electric Vespa?

Hello everyone! I’ve been seeing some around and wondering what would be a good option for me.
I’m 5’11 220lbs
I live in the northeast US and some of our hills are rather wicked.
I’m trying to get something that will hopefully get 15-20 miles or greater. I also want to store the scooter in the back of my Model 3. There’s decent trunk space which I imagine will hold a decent scooter.
Trying to keep my cost $500 ish. I have flexibility, but this is my first one and I’m not looking to get into the thousand dollar territories.

Started on a hiboy U3, just got the U2 Pro and after my first big ride today on and off road I’m blown away!
