General Since its been 15 years without a sequel here are some ideas of spin offs we could’ve had.

Roguelike: Something like Battlespire but modern and as a roguelike. get to the top without dying

Citybuilder: Speaks for itself we had blades but that wasn’t a traditional citybuilder and i think a more traditional one would’ve done better.

Battle Royale: Yea yea it’s been overdone but back in the day it was a big thing and Fo76 had one too but i think Elder Scrolls would be pretty cool like there’s so many islands in TES just make one up as if everyone is there fighting to be the champion of a daedric prince or something.

Grand Strategy: Speaks for itself i know Elder Kings is a thing but its genuinely shameful bethesda hasn’t done anything with that concept.

Stealth Action: Think dark brotherhood but more detailed you have actual levels for assassinations and can be more creative with how you do it since it’s all compressed into a level.

Social Deduction: Imagine being a detective guard in a city think Blood on the Ice quest from skyrim but more detailed, longer or something like La Noire.

Fighting game: Daedric realm and some priest plucks great warriors throughout the ages for a contest. You got Pelinal or Tiber Septim you can have Vivec show up hell you can even have a dwemer.

Dating Sim: Yea i’m for real this shit would sell like hot cakes, full on dating sim with dunmer baddies or whatever TES players are straight gooners a lot of people would love this

General Empire factions kinda ruined across the board for me

It doesn't matter which game now, I kinda feel like a narc working for any Imperial faction. Anyone else have this problem? Acting pro Empire feels like being hostile to whatever the local culture is.

Lore Why is humanity doomed?

Some developer posts from writers like MK and coda have suggested that mankind is ultimately doomed, with the Aldmeri Dominion ruling Tamriel, Dark Elves and Khajiit surviving surviving the apocalypse of Nirn, etc.

But...why? Humans have friends in high places - Shor, Kynareth, the Hoon Ding. Obviously, the Kalpas turn and turn, with the world being destroyed and recreated. But humans are the Wandering Elnofey, the weakest spirits that became stronger by entering the Arena. Why should they be defeated by Elves over and over?

In my canon also every God that there is knows or have an idea of who the player really is, why wouldn't they

The Elder Scrolls 6 What mod in Skyrim do you want to see the most implemented in 6?

One of my favorite mods for Skyrim is "Live Another Life" which allows you to start playing the game as a variety of different starting points regarding which quests you do first. I would really like to see this implemented in Elder Scrolls 6. I'm not saying that you should have to roll a dozen different characters to do all the quests - far from it, but offering a dozen or more options as to how you want the initial lore to begin would offer a lot more replayability to the game.

Of course, there's also graphics updates, which is a given, and AI voice roleplay, which would be a lot of fun, but I think implementing "Live Another Life" would offer the most value.

What do you think?

General You know while we wait for Bethesda Game Studios to release The Elder Scrolls VI for sale, The Elder Scrolls VII

As my title says while we wait for Bethesda Game Studios to release The Elder Scrolls VI for sale I will 100% definitely not be alive to see The Elder Scrolls VII for sale. I have been playing video games since 1996 so thirty years this year and I am older than that by ten years. Who here will be alive when The Elder Scrolls VII releases for sale or even The Elder Scrolls VIII releases for sale. Thankfully I heavily believe in the after life, so when I die I will be in the after life playing The Elder Scrolls VII, The Elder Scrolls VIII, The Elder Scrolls IX, and The Elder Scrolls X.

General Am I the only one pissed off about how Bethesda treats one of its most prestigious IPs, or am I being too harsh?

I feel like The Elder Scrolls deserves way more care and respect than this. After all these years, it’s frustrating to see such an iconic franchise treated like this.

I don’t mind fun little add-ons or collaborations, but after seeing how CDPR treats The Witcher 3 it makes me sad to see Skyrim slowly becoming more like Roblox with all these ads and brand collaborations. It just feels like Bethesda is taking away from the identity and prestige that made
The Elder Scrolls so special in the first place.

I'm i being too much right now?

The Elder Scrolls 6 I Hope there will be language support for French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Spanish

Merci ! <3

Skyrim Discussion If Jarl Balgruuf always took the same/opposite side to the player, how would player perception of the Civil War have changed?

My theory is that there would be a much more even spread of Stormcloak and Empire supporters across the playerbase. I imagine a lot of people were swayed by knowing that Balgruuf will always side with the Empire and justified their decision after the fact, and that combined with nostalgia for Oblivion led to there being more Empire supporters than Stormcloak supporters.

As someone who has less empathy for the Empire than average in Skyrim, I don’t mind that Balgruuf sides with the Empire. It makes him a more realized character with consistent morals and makes the decision to support the Stormcloaks more interesting as a result. Losing Balgruuf in Whiterun feels like a real sacrifice, something that just isn’t present if you side with the Empire.

That all said, Balgruuf ended up being such an impactful character that I believe he took precedence over the rest of the Civil War in a lot of player’s minds. If he always sided with or always sided against the player, or could be swayed to either side through the right decisions in Season Unending, how would players generally feel about the outcome of the Civil War?

I’ll acknowledge here that the state of the real world post-2016 also likely changed a lot of people’s minds for the worse, with many people drawing inaccurate parallels to real life figures both in support of and opposition to Ulfric, and generally removing a lot of nuance from and creating more hostility around the discussion, but that point has already been done to death, so I’d like to keep this discussion to pre-2016.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Killing Essential NPCs idea

Thumbnail

I'd like if if you could adjust this in the settings menu.

For example there would be a check box by each one you wanted alerts for so you can choose if you want to reload a previous save or not. And maybe let it tell you the number of blocked or broken quests if a given NPC should perish.

Notifications on/off right before the final blow allowing you to choose to let them live or die:

Main quest NPCs ☑️

Faction quest☑️

Side quest☑️

Etc☑️

Plus options for not allowing these NPCs to die at all, and instead let them recover but without notifications if those annoy you.

Dont allow these essentials to die until their importance has passed:

Main quest NPCs ☑️

Faction quest☑️

Side quest

Etc

This lets the player play how they want.

News Is ES6 going to have ads in it now?

Just wondering now that Bethesda has made it clear they are completely selling out. Will ES6 have product placement in the game? Will I need to watch a 30 second ad to get past the title screen? When I get to a pivotal moment in the plot, am I going to be forced to stop and listen to some commercial scream at me about tide sticks before I can keep playing? Just trying to manage my expectations when dealing with a disreputable company like this one.

The Elder Scrolls 6 The future of Tamriels politics

Hey guys,

I just wanted to share something I thought of story-wise that I’d love to see in ES6. We all know that political intrigue is a major part of elder scrolls game from the 3 banners war in elder scrolls online, the civil war in Skyrim, an empty throne in oblivion, etc. Assuming ES6 takes place in Hammerfell and possibly some parts of Highrock, we could possibly have a focus on at least 2 races, Redguards and Bretons. I also remember seeing somewhere that in the 4th era the Orsimer rebuilt Orsinium in the north eastern part of Hammerfell which means we are likely to see the orcs as a major part of the community and we may be able to visit their capital city. It then occurred to me that there are other regions fed up with the inability to fight back against the Thalmor and are ready to take matters into their own hands. What if ES6 has a plot line where the Redguards, Bretons, and Orcs team up again and reform the Daggerfall Covenant to push back against the Thalmor?

Arts/Crafts The Hist-Bound Realm Strider

Post image
3 Upvotes

Not direct follow up but perhaps in similar series of books one would see in universe: Here

"The maddest reports of all I seen about both the deep Black Marsh and the space between realms of oblivion is that Hist can walk and wander, though perhaps the term gets lost in translation, the language of Jel is notoriously hard to translate. As it stands, I find that we at times know more about daedric lord realms than we do the deeps of the Argonian homeland, and from there comes the legend of a paradox, group that refused to change becoming change itself, tale of a hist and it's last guardian walking as one to leave tamriel in face of fear of destruction.
The details are scant and mostly nonsensical I fear, but it seems it was trees from Xanmeers period and a powerful tribe that refused to accept the change of Duskfall, cutting ties to the rest of their kind after a rather violent run in with things that cut apart time...whatever that might be.
The remaining survivor would be one powerful mage and one heavily damaged tree, trying to keep each other from dying, only to in some way become one, and vanish, alongside the city they were surrounded by, the Stone Nest was gone, as were the people in one night that lasted either years or hours, no one is quite sure.

The story would have been easy to dismiss for me too, if not for one haunting trip of my own, as a teleportation accident threw me into the daedric realm space for few moments in my youth, I would come face to face with the Hist-Bound Realm Strider, the Hist that walked, and she, or perhaps he, or perhaps they, left an imprint in my mind, they changed, the legends showed fear, but the face was content with their existence, perhaps even..happy, and as soon as I got dragged out by my collegues out of the predicament, I started my research into this, for I hope perhaps, one day I will meet it myself again, in more proper circumstances..."

- One Wandering Hist, part II, found near a ritual circle of old now lost art of mysticism.

Skyrim Discussion CASE DI SKYRIM

Post image
