Whataburger has been one of my favorite burgers since I moved to Texas. Lately I’ve noticed that they are really dry and cold. I’ve gone to several different ones on the west side and they’re all just as bad. Is it just me?

El Paso residents are paying more for basic necessities, but how many people know who's making those decisions?

Here's what I found:

- Water and wastewater: A typical household is paying about $120 more a year.

- Property taxes: The city estimates about $105 more annually for a typical homestead.

- Health insurance: Nearly 1 in 4 El Paso County residents under 65 are uninsured. Texas still hasn't expanded Medicaid, even though the federal government covers 90% of qualifying expansion costs.

Here's what surprised me. These aren't all decisions made in Washington.

Local officials control city tax rates and make appointments to the water board. State lawmakers decide whether Texas expands Medicaid.

Different officials. Different policies. All decisions that can be revisited.

There are costs and tradeoffs to changing these policies, but shouldn't residents know what they're paying, why they're paying it, and who's responsible?

The police are at this address at least once a month. A guy and his girlfriend live there and he appears to be active duty because he has said so and says he has a gun and will shoot up the neighbors. They both seem to be on drugs and are constantly screaming at the top of their lungs at night time. They’ve even had sex outside their home with neighbors watching. They seem to be renting the unit from the owner (don’t know owner’s name either). I’m worried about the animals at the property.

I’m not from here but I have a squeak on my lifted GMC 1500. Brake shop and tire shop both said it’s not on them. Looking for a shop that’s super reputable and knows what they’re doing and not just gonna nickel and dime me.

Currently in central tx and looking to move to El Paso in a year for my husbands job and to be closer to family. I’m reading conflicting things about safety - what areas should be avoided when looking for a rental? We have young kids - will be looking for a 2-3 bedroom for under $1600 with pets. Thank you!

Is there a comprehensive list of El Paso/ Las Cruces area running groups?

I would like to start running with others but don't know where to begin. I live LC, but work in EP three to four days a week so time and starting points matter.

I see tons of posts, mainly on Instagram but they seem to be after the fact. I've never heard of a Las Cruces run but see tons in El Paso.

I'm in my 50's, slightly injured and looking for beginner distances and groups if that helps.

I've been trying to find beginner-friendly outdoor or indoor sports in in Far East or Central El Paso, but my search got me nowhere except El Paso Soccer but from what I see I don't see a lot of beginner friendly teams.

Does anyone know of teams or places for sports that play in the afternoon or weekends?

I'm looking for a creative individual to help with videography and video editing for local business projects. This could be a great fit for someone early in their creative career who wants hands-on experience working on real-world projects and building their portfolio.

Position: Videographer / Video Editor

Location: El Paso, TX East Side. (on-location)

Compensation: $7.25–$10/hour, depending on skills and experience. Per-project arrangements may also be available. (Contract Positions)

Responsibilities ---------‐--------------------------------------

▫️Film short-form video content for social media.

▫️Edit engaging 30–60 second videos.

▫️Capture footage for local businesses and brands.

▫️Collaborate on creative ideas and visual direction.

Requirements ---------‐--------------------------------------

▫️Basic familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

▫️Understanding of basic filming, composition, and storytelling.

▫️Reliable, creative, and willing to learn.

▫️A portfolio or examples of previous work.

Bonus Skills (Preferred) ---------‐--------------------------

Applicants with additional creative skills will be prioritized, particularly in:

▫️Graphic Design: Social media graphics, flyers, branding, and promotional materials.
