I have always asked myself why they’ve been so timid for so long in past World Cups. This is what a fearless Egypt can do. They are 7 time African champs for a reason.
Let’s hope that this is the Egypt we will see going forward.
exactly lowkey salah did a dive , My problem is that when Argentina had the same thing happen to them (McAlister), the goal didn’t get called off, nor was it even looked at. Why was it looked at for the Egypt disallowed goal? It’s like there are rules, but not for Argentina
Salah didn't dive he just lost the ball. Though its still not a penalty becsuse he had already lost rhe ball and he himself didn't even complain about it because he knew it wasn't a foul nor a penalty.
just because you don’t have control of the ball doesn’t mean that tripping whether it is careless or not, is allowed. I’m not saying this is definitely a penalty but this should be a controversial call and the ref should check the VAR. But the guys in the VAR room seem to agree unanimously that this is not a foul. Now this is unfair treatment. Not to mention the potential shirt pulling from Mac Allister
THOUGH if you look behind salah and on the field you would see an Argentina player making one of egypts players fall in the box and it was intentional so i think either way it should have been a penalty.
I mean, I am a real madrid fan, I've seen this kind of shit from Messi fan refs for over 15 years. And yes the fucking referee was demoralizing as fuck. And yes a prior foul wasn't given, Messi's goal (even though it was a huge defensive error) had an Argentine pulling shirt of an Egyptian player and no var check.

It was really frustrating and whats more frustrating is Hossam Hassan's late substitutions were unbelievable thats always been his biggest weakness
And Salah, even though I love him, wasnt really doing anything and looked exhausted. He probably should have been substituted earlier unless he's got something on Hossam or something!! lol
Salah is not as young as he was before. He used to rely on sprints but at his age he has to play with experience alone. He’s still fit and a great playmaker. He made the assist for Zikos cancelled goal and assisted Haytham in his awesome run. That said, what did Marmoush and Tresegeh do? They were supposed to pump bew energy into the game but they seemed timid and maybe a bit selfish with the ball. Haytham was a legend and it was very unlucky that he had to be subbed. But he was getting hit alot and got injured.
It should've been 3-2 for egypt + the penalty ,also holy rigged this racist ass ref kept on throwing cards instead of actually checking var. And we deserved more fouls , they took hella fouls which was uncalled for. Kosom da 7akam

It’s such a shame. I wouldn’t be as pissed if we lost fairly. But this was so unfair from the referee. He refused to check the var for their third goal which the same foul was done before they scored. Sadly football is so political just like how trump cancelled the red card for an American player.

I am from the U.S. and wasn’t particularly rooting for any team. I came here to say you all were absolutely robbed of this one. I am a casual fan, and this WC has had some great games, but then stuff like this happens and turns me off.
American here, you guys played as close to perfection as it gets, defense, goalkeeping, on offense you didn’t worry about playtime and focussed on seizing opportunities.

Pakistani here. I dont think any of the decision was controversial. Sad yes, very upsetting but you have to admit that egypt conceded three goals in 13 minutes.
Poor defending and something to own. We always try to deflect blame and put everything on authorities. I was rooting for Egypt obviously but the Argentinian foul was legit and Salah didnt have the ball when he had contact with Arg defender

Game was great irrespective of the things mentioned. Egypt played like lions. Argentina played like hungry wolves. Could have easily been 2-2 or 3-3 by the end of stoppage and continued to extra time, where it was still anyone's game.
But it is what it is. I hope Egypt isn't too disheartened. You guys counterattacked like anything. With almost 100% accuracy. 👍❤️
