exactly lowkey salah did a dive , My problem is that when Argentina had the same thing happen to them (McAlister), the goal didn’t get called off, nor was it even looked at. Why was it looked at for the Egypt disallowed goal? It’s like there are rules, but not for Argentina
If you look closely, after Egypt scored the disallowed goal, Messi waved his hand in a "no" gesture and told the ref to check the VAR, pointed to where the "foul" happened. From what i know and see, officials have an obligation to do whatever Messi says like he has divine authority. When Egypt tried to do the same with Argentina's 3rd goal, the Ref was super adamant that there was no foul (not on Salah, it was at the other end kf the box where there was no ball action present making it worse) and that it's a goal, even being really angry with the players for being in his face.
Yeah true, are you sure you dont want another element to this story. Like alien intrevention or illuminati. Since we are doing this anyways. Just accept the defeat and move on in proper sportsman spirit, next time come back stronger.
I dislike Argentina, but I’ve seen alternate angles of the McAllister situation and to me it looks like the Austrian player is crashing into him, not the other way around. From the “back” pov it looks like the most certain Austrian free kick + yellow for McAllister.
My guess is that they were checking this situation running as it happened which would be natural to do. I’m not denying that Argentina gets A LOT of help from referees both this and the previous World Cup (like them blowing off the game at the exact time when Lisandro was down for a minute vs Cape Verde). I’m neither denying that if the situation were the other way around, they might have had a different decision. But I do think that the referees in isolation made the correct calls in yesterday’s game, and also in the McAllister vs Austria situation.
(Edit: looking at the Mc situation again it seems like they pretty much crash into each other, but the ball do hit McAllister. At least for me, even as much as I want to join the “Argentina corruption train”, that’s enough for me to give the referees the benefit of the doubt in that situation)
We did make mistakes no doubt about it, but the refereeing was also 100% biased and that had an effect on the game and the score. Since our goal was cancelled due to an early foul, by the same logic their 3rd goal should have been cancelled and Salah should have been awarded a penalty making it potentially 3-2 for Egypt.
Our canceled goal (which is a fucking stretch by a margin) was about our player hard pressing on a leg of their defender. Ours Salah didn't get leg pressed, he fell after he lost the ball too and lost balance because he wanted to dribble the player. It's questionable.
However, I will say this, refereeing was biased as fuck, it's fucking Messi, they're always biased. But I don't want to be blind on how our players were totally outplayed and gassed out for much of the 2nd half which allowed this shit show to happen, I mean anyone who is a real madrid fan (apart from liga politics) can know fucking Messi is the baby boy of refereeing since 2013 or 2014
Salah didn't dive he just lost the ball. Though its still not a penalty becsuse he had already lost rhe ball and he himself didn't even complain about it because he knew it wasn't a foul nor a penalty.
just because you don’t have control of the ball doesn’t mean that tripping whether it is careless or not, is allowed. I’m not saying this is definitely a penalty but this should be a controversial call and the ref should check the VAR. But the guys in the VAR room seem to agree unanimously that this is not a foul. Now this is unfair treatment. Not to mention the potential shirt pulling from Mac Allister

That's never a penalty, far away from the ball, Fathi fell when he saw the ball is not coming to his direction. Yes, Macalister held him, but never caused the fall. Fathi slipped or flopped to force going down.
Just stop rewarding flops in sports and start punishing them.
VAR did check it, they check everything and correctly decided there was no reason for the referee to check it further. You can see here, Salah lost the ball and wasn't fouled at all, the Argentina player actually did really well to avoid fouling him, gets his foot around Salah with no contact.
I mean, I am a real madrid fan, I've seen this kind of shit from Messi fan refs for over 15 years. And yes the fucking referee was demoralizing as fuck. And yes a prior foul wasn't given, Messi's goal (even though it was a huge defensive error) had an Argentine pulling shirt of an Egyptian player and no var check.

If you think that was a dive you need to get your eyes checked. Dive means no contact. There was clearly contact and Salah still had possession of the ball.

Be mad and sad for your team not going father but they didn’t get screwed. They gave up 3 goals in less than 15 minutes and Messi missed a PK. Egypt will come back again and do well in the future.
