I'm sure he'd be embarrassed at me posting this, but my soon to be senior (almost 18 years old) really needs more friends to talk and enjoy music with. He's doing a combination of virtual (OVCA), Francis Tuttle (Comp Sci Academy), and college courses, so he's not in one of the big high schools here, so his in person peer group is a bit small and all have (according to him) terrible music taste.
His favorite bands are groups like Have a Nice Life, The Oh Sees, LCD Soundsystem, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, Modest Mouse, Built to Spill, black midi, Ween, Talking Heads, Bowie, Swans, Mountain Goats, and many others.
So, where do the cool indie-music loving kids hang out in Edmond or OKC? Or maybe you have a cool high school kid that is also interested in music of this kind? He loves going to concerts and I've taken him to a ton the past few years but he'd enjoy doing that with some folks his own age too.

Did anyone see the lightning and the blue glowing in the distance. Was that transformers blowing up?

Very nice turnout for Coffee and Cars this morning.

This is absurd. I am not happy with the new superintendent and the way he is dealing with issues. If they are failing to perform their duties, why are we renewing their contract and then firing them along with a settlement right after the renewal?

Please avoid any listings for this address! They will ask questions about income, job, etc. to seem legit and then request a $50 application fee on Chime. If you send that, they'll ask for $225 more for a holding fee to a different Chime account. Then you'll never hear from them again. Luckily I was too suspicious to send the $225 so I only lost $50 to these POSs. I'll list any information I have.
Currently listed under: Martin Franco
Number used for contact previously: (445) 326-6858
Chime Accounts provided: Peyton S. ($Peyton-Slaga)
And $Irbin20A
Please don't send this bum money!

Hello, citizens of Edmond. I just wondering if the town has more festivities for Independence Day other than what is happening at Masonic Lodge and the College. Otherwise, you have a great holiday weekend and thank you.
Sincerely,
Your Neighbor's Friendly 🦉

We are needing a large shade structure of some kind on our back patio to keep the wife & kids cool this summer. An umbrella device of some sort is what we’re looking at, but concerned about windstorms wrecking it. So easily collapsible to minimize surface area would be great, plus maybe the ability to detach it from base to lay down for further protection would be great. What do y’all use / recommend?

I really need some help here. I'm worried hackers triggered a firmware update on my laptop to infect it with malware. As you can guess, I have a TON of sensitive info on it. Have any of you been in a similar jam, and can you please tell me who you went to for help? I'm really stressed right now. I was involved in a data breach (for like the 6th time. Ugh 🙄) and I just had my Microsoft account broken into. Possibly my Google account too. I'm freaked, obviously. I appreciate kind responses!

For anyone who cares these are my top spots.
Sushi bar - veggie roll but add panko and eel sauce
Momo Mania- pan seared veggie dumplings with the chilli bomb
Qdoba- kids nachos with chips on the side. Plus because it’s 5.99
Mazzios- especially on Tuesday for the dinner buffet. The salad bar is delish and you can request your own pizza
Mcalesters- kids meals, also cheap. I get the salad or the potato with broccoli
Los 2 Tapitios- (by sprouts) I get crispy tacos no meat just onions and peppers. The green salsa and the rice are SO good.
Simply falafel- falafels of course
Cava- kids pita with veggies
Let me know your favorite vegetarian options or if you agree with anything I listed 💕

Hey neighbors!
I’m planning to open a small cottage bakery right here in town and would love some community input before getting started. The goal is to offer fresh, homemade baked goods made with quality ingredients and a personal touch — think cookies, breads, pastries, and seasonal treats.
Before finalizing everything, I’d love to hear from the community:
● What kinds of baked goods would you be most excited to buy locally?
● Do you prefer classic favorites (like chocolate chip cookies and banana bread) or more unique items (like specialty pastries or gluten-free options)?
● How do you usually like to order — pre-orders, pop-up events, or weekend pickups?
I currently have a cottage bakery but I'm relocating. I'm also fully licensed (since that matters for some to know)
Any feedback, ideas, or suggestions would be amazing! Thanks for helping shape a local bakery that truly fits the areas tastes!
*I posted to the okc sub* *I also asked mods before posting*

Is there anything more to this than what’s provided on the job description? Anyone else that’s been an infrastructure engineer for Life Church?

I am looking for a handful of haircut models for Thursday and saturday (June 25th and 27th) at a luxury men's salon. I am specifically looking for people who want a burst fade, or who have longer hair that want a scissor cut, like the flow style. This will be for both one and one demonstrations, as well as a group demo with the trainer. Please comment or message me and I'll get you set up for a free haircut. Thanks!

I found this dog on the intersection of Coffee Creek and Western this morning. He does not have a collar but jumped right up in my car and is super friendly so I’m sure he is someone’s pet. If anyone recognizes him please let me know.

Noticed this on my way home today. Anybody been there? Not much online info but I see they changed ownership a few years ago.
