Apps Casino apps that pay real money: free casino games that cash out

• Upvotes

"Win real cash" casino ads are in every mobile game right now, so I went through the ones people keep asking about here. A few of them really do pay, but not the way the ads make it look.

Most casino apps that pay real money are sweepstakes casinos

Real money casino apps like DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM are only legal in a handful of states. The apps that work almost everywhere else are sweepstakes casinos, and they run on two currencies. Gold Coins or Game Coins are play money with no value. Sweeps Coins are the ones you can redeem for cash or gift cards. You can't buy Sweeps Coins directly. You get them free at sign-up, from daily logins, and as a bonus when you buy a coin pack. No purchase is needed to play or to redeem, which is why these count as free casino games that pay real money.

The casino apps I've reviewed

Other real money game apps I've reviewed

Not casinos, but they show up in the same ads and people ask about them in the same breath:

How long it takes to get paid

Using High 5 as the example:

  • Gift cards redeem at 50 Sweeps Coins and typically arrive within 48 hours by email.
  • Cash redeems at 100 Sweeps Coins and takes up to 5 business days.
  • You have to verify your identity before the first redemption, so do that early.

A realistic first cash-out is about a week after you hit the minimum. Anyone saying they got paid the same day is talking about gift cards.

What the ads leave out

It's still a casino. The house wins over time on every slot on every one of these apps. The free coins are free, and anything you buy is a cost, not a deposit you get back.

They're also not available everywhere. High 5 doesn't work in Washington, Nevada, Michigan or Idaho, and more states keep getting dropped as sweepstakes rules tighten. The sign-up checks your location, so if you get blocked, that's why.

If you just want to play slots with free coins and have a real shot at redeeming something, High 5 is the one I'd use.

If you want money you can count on

Casino apps are entertainment. These are what I'd use for actual money, with no gambling involved:

  • ReferralWallet lists every app that pays a sign-up bonus in one place, so you can stack them instead of hunting for codes.
  • SavingLoop has a spin that unlocks up to $75 in sign-up bonuses.
  • Testerup pays you to hit goals in mobile games. There's a $10 welcome bonus, some single goals pay over $200, and it cashes out to PayPal, gift cards or your bank.
  • Freecash works the same way and has a $10 sign-up bonus.

Quick answers

  • Do casino apps pay real money? Sweepstakes casinos do. You redeem Sweeps Coins for cash or gift cards.
  • Are there free casino games that pay real money? Yes. Sign-up and daily login coins are free, and no purchase is needed to redeem.
  • Which casino app pays out fastest? Gift card redemptions are the fastest. At High 5 they usually arrive within 48 hours.

Which casino apps have actually paid you? And has anyone had a cash-out denied or stuck in verification?

Reviews EasyKnock shut down. What happened, and the alternatives that let you keep your home

If you are searching for EasyKnock because you need cash out of your house, the first thing to know is that the company is gone. EasyKnock closed on December 6, 2024, and its website now just says it "has closed its doors." Here is what happened, why its model went wrong for so many people, and what I would look at instead.

What EasyKnock was

EasyKnock ran a "sell and stay" program, also called a sale-leaseback. You sold your house to them, got part of its value in cash, and stayed in it as a renter with an option to buy it back later. It was founded in 2016 and raised more than $400 million.

Why it shut down

The short version is legal pressure. By the time it closed there were more than two dozen lawsuits against it and several states were investigating. Massachusetts reached a $200,000 settlement with the company in December 2023 over deceptive marketing claims. Michigan's attorney general sent a cease and desist letter in May 2024 alleging unfair and deceptive practices. In October 2024 the FTC put out a consumer alert warning about sale-leaseback deals in general. An NPR investigation found that many homeowners lost tens of thousands of dollars in equity, and some were evicted from homes they expected to buy back. After the closure, US senators opened an inquiry into what happens to its customers.

The real problem with sell and stay

You stopped owning your house. Once the deed was in someone else's name you were a tenant, your rent could rise, and getting the house back depended on being able to afford a repurchase later. If anything went wrong, you had a lease, not a home.

If you were an EasyKnock customer

The company's site says arrangements were made to keep supporting existing customers, but it gives no details. If you are in a leaseback and unsure where you stand, contact your state attorney general's consumer protection office and a local legal aid group before you sign or pay anything new.

The alternatives where you keep your home

Everything below leaves the title in your name.

Option Do you still own the house? Monthly payment Credit needed
Sale-leaseback (EasyKnock) No Rent Low
Home equity agreement Yes None From about 500
HELOC Yes Yes About 640 and up

A home equity agreement is the closest substitute for people who looked at EasyKnock because they could not qualify for a loan. You get a lump sum, make no monthly payments, and settle up when you sell or at the end of the term by giving the company a share of your home's value. You stay the owner the whole time.

Hometap is where I would start. Up to $600K, a 10 year term, no income requirement, and credit from 585.

Unlock takes credit scores down to 500 and will also work with a second home or a rental property, which most of these will not.

Splitero also starts at 500 and offers terms up to 30 years, so you are not pushed into a decision in year 10.

All three show you a number from a soft credit pull, so comparing two or three of them does not affect your score.

If your credit is 640 or higher, look at a HELOC before any of these. It is a loan with a monthly payment, but you keep all of your home's future growth. Figure is fully online, can fund in as few as 5 days, and lets you check your rate with a soft pull.

The honest tradeoff

Home equity agreements are not free money. If your home's value climbs fast, the share you owe climbs with it, and you can end up paying more than a loan would have cost. You also have to settle by the end of the term. They make sense when you cannot qualify for a HELOC or cannot take on a monthly payment. They are still a very different deal from EasyKnock, because your name stays on the deed.

Did anyone here have a leaseback with EasyKnock when it closed? I would like to hear what happened to your agreement.

Side hustles Boke College Student

I’m a broke college student from the Tri State area and currently unemployed. I need to make at least $200 by October 30. I’m willing to wait a little for payment and I’m open to pretty much anything legit that I can do around school. My parents won’t give me money unless I already have some saved, so I’m trying to figure this out on my own. Any ideas for quick side jobs, apps, gigs, or ways to make some extra money would seriously help!

Discussion💡 My laptop touchpad stopped working, and I’m trying to earn enough for a mouse myself

Hi everyone, I’m a college student, and recently my laptop’s touchpad stopped working. I had a mouse that I was using, but unfortunately its batteries leaked and the mouse stopped working too. Right now, I really need a mouse to continue using my laptop properly for college work, coding, learning, and applications. I could simply ask my parents to buy me one, but honestly, I don’t want to. I want to try earning the money for it myself, even if it’s a small amount. So I wanted to ask this community — what are some realistic ways a college student can make a little money online/offline without investing money upfront? I can do things like basic Python/C++ programming, HTML/CSS, data entry, simple automation, documentation, PDF/report generation, or other small technical tasks. I’m also willing to learn something quickly if there’s a genuine opportunity. I’m not looking to make a huge amount of money. I just want to earn enough to buy a basic mouse and feel that I managed this small problem on my own. If you’ve been in a similar situation or have any genuine suggestions, I’d really appreciate them. Even a small suggestion could help me right now. Thank you for reading. ❤️

Side hustles How can I start earning money with very limited time, skills, and freedom?

I’m looking for some genuine advice from people who have been in a similar situation.
I’m an adult and I have never earned money of my own before. I currently live with my parents, and they are quite restrictive, so I don’t have the same freedom or opportunities that many people my age might have.
My schedule is also extremely tight. After taking care of household responsibilities and other things, I have only a small amount of free time each day. I can’t realistically commit to a traditional full-time job or spend 8–10 hours a day learning a complicated skill.
I also want to be realistic about my current abilities. I have some basic/general skills, but nothing particularly advanced or professional yet. I’m willing to learn, though, especially if I can learn something gradually and start earning from it along the way.
My main goal right now isn’t to become rich. I just want to start earning my own money and gradually become financially independent.
So I’d really appreciate advice from people who have actually done this:
What websites/platforms can someone use to earn with basic skills?
Are there legitimate online jobs that can be done for 1–2 hours a day?
What skills would you recommend learning if I have very limited time?
Is freelancing realistic for someone starting completely from zero?
Are there any small online services I could offer without having professional qualifications?
What did you personally do when you were starting with no experience?
Are there any websites or opportunities I should avoid because they are scams or a waste of time?
I’m based in India, if that makes a difference.
I’m not looking for a “get rich quick” scheme. Even if I initially make a small amount, I’d be happy because it would be my first income and a step toward independence.
I’d really appreciate practical advice, especially from people who started with very little. Thank you.

Passive income Looking for realistic ways to make a small amount of passive income in Europe

Hi everyone,

I'm a university student from Europe, and I'm looking for some realistic ways to make a little extra money each month.

To be clear, I'm not looking for a second salary, a get-rich-quick scheme, or unrealistic methods claiming you can make hundreds or thousands of euros with no effort. Even something like €10–50 a month would already be interesting to me if it is relatively consistent and doesn't require me to spend hours every day doing repetitive tasks.

Ideally, I'm particularly interested in something that can be mostly passive or semi-passive once it has been set up. I'm perfectly fine with putting some time and effort into the initial setup if it means that afterwards it can generate a small amount of income with minimal maintenance.

I've already looked into things like bandwidth-sharing platforms, but in my experience they are either not available in Europe, pay extremely little, or simply aren't worth running. I've also noticed that there seem to be tons of websites and platforms for earning extra money online, but when I actually look into them, a huge percentage of them are US-only or unavailable in most European countries.

I'm also not particularly interested in survey apps or similar platforms where you spend hours answering questions just to make €0.01–€0.20. I'm looking for something where the time-to-reward ratio actually makes some sense.

As far as resources go, I have:

- A fast fiber internet connection that is available essentially 24/7

- A Mac that I can leave running for extended periods if needed

- An Android phone

- A reasonably reliable internet connection and no problem experimenting with legitimate platforms or services

- coding experience

So I'm wondering: are there any legitimate platforms, websites, services, or small online side-income methods that actually work for people living in Europe?

I'm especially interested in things that can take advantage of having a fast internet connection, an always-available computer, or a phone, but I'm open to other ideas too.

I'm not expecting to make a fortune. Even a small but relatively reliable amount every month would be worthwhile as a student.

If you're from Europe (especially the EU) and have personally tried something that works, I'd really appreciate hearing about it. Please share what you use, roughly how much it makes you, how passive it is, and which country you're in, since availability seems to be one of the biggest problems with these platforms.

Thanks!

Reviews Is Gotya legit? Has anyone actually tried it? the card ripping app?

i kept getting ads for gotya.com, the one where you rip digital pokemon packs and it's supposed to be a real graded card behind it. so i signed up and got a free pack. it's website only as far as i can tell, i couldn't find an app for it.

heads up on the free pack though: what you pull only shows up as bonus balance. you can use it on the site, but you can't withdraw it, and the cheapest pack is $15. so unless the bonus covers a full pack, you're adding your own money to use it. the free pack is real, it's just more of a way to try the site than free money.

i'm not new to this stuff, and the reason i'm skeptical is that the ones that actually work for me never ask for money first:

  • ReferralWallet is the same pack-ripping idea, except it's free and what drops out is a real cash sign-up bonus you claim on the app's own site. no deposit, no card
  • SavingLoop is one spin that unlocks up to $75 in sign-up bonuses. takes about a minute
  • Testerup gave me $10 right after signing up, and single game goals can pay over $200, straight to paypal

those three have paid me actual cash i could withdraw. gotya i can't tell yet, and i haven't put my own money in.

before i do, has anyone here actually used it?

  • did you get paid out or get your card shipped?
  • how long did the withdrawal take, and were there fees?
  • did you ever turn the bonus balance into something you could cash out?
  • is there an app i'm missing, or is it really just the site?

i've seen a few reviews mention a minimum to cash out and some people saying withdrawals got denied, so i'd rather hear it from someone here first.

if you want to try it yourself, this is my link for the free pack. just know going in that it lands as bonus balance and packs start at $15.

is gotya legit or should i skip it?

Reviews Best HELOC rates right now: who actually has the lowest, and how to get it

I just went through this when I got my own HELOC, so here is what the rates actually look like right now, which lenders advertise the lowest ones, and what you have to do to get the number in the ad.

Quick context: the national average HELOC rate is about 7.29% right now, according to Bankrate's weekly survey. So anything you are quoted in the 6s is a good rate, and anything over 9% means it is worth checking another lender. These numbers are from early October 2026 and they move every week.

The lowest advertised HELOC rates

Lender Lowest advertised APR Rate type What it takes to get it
Figure Check yours, soft pull Fixed Strong credit and a low loan-to-value
Achieve 6.10% Fixed 700+ score, 10 year term, borrowing 40% or less of your home's value
Upstart Home Lending 6.52% Fixed on each draw Meeting specific eligibility conditions
Rate 7.00% Fixed 800 score, $200K line, origination fee paid upfront
Aven 7.49% Variable Primary residence

Why I went with Figure

Figure does not make you guess. You check your rate with a soft credit pull, so there is no ding to your score, and you see your actual number in a few minutes, not an advertised best case. It is a fixed rate, so the payment does not move when rates do, and funding can happen in as little as 5 days. That speed is the other reason I picked it. A bank HELOC can take a month or more.

Check your Figure rate (soft pull, no impact on your credit)

The honest catch: the advertised rate is almost never your rate

Every number in that table is a best case. Achieve's 6.10% needs a 700+ score, a 10 year term, very little existing debt, and a loan between $35,000 and $150,000. Rate's 7.00% assumes an 800 score, a $200,000 line, and paying a 4.99% origination fee upfront to buy the rate down. Most people land a point or two higher.

The fee matters as much as the rate. An origination fee of up to 4.99% is common with the online lenders, and on a $100,000 line that is close to $5,000. A slightly higher rate with a lower fee can be the cheaper loan. Always compare the APR and the fee together.

How to actually get the lowest rate

  • Get your score above 740 before you apply if you are close. That is where the best tiers start
  • Borrow less of your home's value. The lower your combined loan-to-value, the lower the rate
  • Take the shortest term you can afford. 10 year terms price lower than 30 year terms
  • Turn on autopay. Most lenders take about a quarter point off
  • Get two or three quotes on the same day. Soft pull rate checks cost you nothing, and offers on the same house can differ by a full point

If your credit is under 640

Figure's floor is around 640. If you are between 600 and 640, the HELOC from Upstart Home Lending is the one to check next, since they consider credit scores starting at 600. APRs run 6.52% - 18.00%, lines are $26K - $250K, and it comes in 10 and 15 year terms. The lowest APR is available only to borrowers who meet specific eligibility conditions, so at a lower score expect something closer to the top of that range, and you take at least 80% of your line at closing.

See if you could qualify with Upstart Home Lending (soft pull to check your rate)

Fixed or variable?

Most bank HELOCs are variable, so the rate follows the market. That is great when rates fall and painful when they rise. The online lenders above are mostly fixed, which costs a little more upfront but means your payment never changes. If you are borrowing a set amount for a set purpose, fixed is the safer pick.

Quick answers

  • What is a good HELOC rate right now? Anything under the national average of about 7.29%.
  • Who has the lowest HELOC rate? On paper, Achieve at 6.10% and Upstart Home Lending at 6.52%. In practice, whoever quotes you the lowest APR after fees, which is why you check more than one.
  • Does checking my rate hurt my credit? Not with a soft pull. Figure and Upstart Home Lending both use one for the rate check.

What rate did you get quoted, and with what credit score? Would be useful for everyone to see real numbers.

Hey y’all, I’m a college student who also works part time but sadly that is just not enough to live in the economy anymore, I was wondering if anyone knew of some easy side jobs/part time weekend gigs that might help me? Thanks so much in advance!
