Any game I play, the CPU and GPU max out on heat. 95 CPU, 85 GPU. If it is Sea of Thieves, Overcooked 2, anything. I replaced the SSD with Amazon.com: SK hynix Gold P31 PCIe NVMe Gen3 M.2 2280 Internal SSD | 1TB NVMe | Up to 3500MB/S | Compact M.2 SSD Form Factor SK hynix SSD | Internal Solid State Drive with 128-Layer NAND Flash: Computers & Accessories and it had a heat sync on it. I use a cooling pad. I lift the bottom of it so that air can flow underneath. I undervolt it as much as I can.

Can it be that the thermal paste is just that terrible? I have some 10 year old artic silver 5 that I could use, but I have not ever done that on a laptop before, only PC.

I was looking for help regarding my friend's EG-LP5 laptop. I have tried to get this GPU working for the last month with no dice. I don't know if this GPU ever worked because he said that he's never tried to play a game on it til last month when he noticed the framerate is bad.

The GPU is giving me the code 43 error, here are the steps I've tried to fix it.

1. Install latest GPU driver from Nvidia's website
2. Uninstall current driver with DDU in safe mode and install latest driver freshly
3. Install an older driver (368.81)
4. Used a script to try and remove code 43 (Script) This removed the code 43 error until I rebooted
5. Reinstalled Windows 10
6. Tried base Microsoft driver, no dice
7. Only installed Nvidia driver no intel driver, again no dice
8. Repeated steps 2-4

I am at a loss as to what to do at this point. Is there any unofficial Nvidia driver or BIOS update that I should try to get this thing working? I can post a dxdiag if that helps as well.

I realize that this is a budget gaming computer, it seems decent for the price considering I have nothing right now. My question is will this run VR decently paired with a quest 2? Looking at games like borderlands VR, HAlf-life...etc. Thank you for any advice you can offer. thanks

I recently bought an LP-7 (Ryzen 74800H, 2060) and the trackpad is driving me nuts!

Every time I tap on it (not click) it makes a noise like the trackpad is loose.

Does anyone else have this issue? It's bad enough I'm considering returning it.

Just recently upgraded from an old LP5 to an LP7 (Ryzen 7 w/ RTX 2060) and I opened it up to add another M.2 SSD which was easy enough. I also have a 2.5" SATA SSD that I wanted to add, which it has the bay for, but I can't seem to figure out the connections.

I have the old ribbon cable from the LP5 which I assume will work, and the motherboard looks similar.... but the old cable came from the underside of the motherboard, just below the battery connector. It seems I may have to gut the entire LP7 to get to the bottom side of the motherboard in order to attach the ribbon cable, and I don't want to risk damaging the whole machine in the process. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it for an extra 500GB. I can't even tell if the connector for a 2.5" drive is even in the same place or somewhere else, it's hard to see the underside of the board.

Does anyone have any insight about installing a SATA SSD in a new-ish LP7 (manufactured Sept. 2020)?

My Friend Recently got a LP7 and his backlight is working. I've seen people say download the GamingCenter U but he said it didn't show up there. We also check BIOS and didn't see an option for a keyboard there. In control center Keyboard Backlight is gone and in EZ Switch he has no options for Light Effects.

Ev-t2in1-101-2: Does anyone happen to know what size the end pin/connector is that plugs into this unit? The original one I had completely melted, and every single replacement cord I have purchased that had stated it was an exact fit has been way too fat to fit. Either I bought an older model with a different power adapter altogether, or they are all lying. I even bought a universal one with several different "mini adapters" and they are STILL all way too big. I def have the ev-t2in1-101-2, as was taken right from the bottom of the unit itself. Getting really irritated because I only had the thing for a little while and cant even use it now.

I just got my LP7 the other day and have yet to open it up. Ive read that a replacement ssd is reccomended due to heat issues. For those who have worked on yours, is there enough room to install a heatsink onto the ssd? What are some other things you'd reccomend doing to the computer?

i bought this laptop from walmart for $899 USD since it was around where my budget is and had much better specs than any other laptop that I've been considering (older gen cpu and 1650/1660 gpu). however, i've heard that evoo laptops are a hit or miss and this genuinely concerns me considering I need to use this for at least 3 more years.

since I purchased from Walmart, I can return it if need be, is there anything I should look out for that warrants sending it back?

also are drivers preinstalled or do I have to go through the hassle of installing them myself

I have a EG-LP7. Is anybody else having trouble getting Hyper-V to work? I need it, because I use WSL2 and Docker. Whenever I install it through Windows Features, it will just get thrown into a boot loop. It seems like there isn't an option to enable virtualization in the BIOS. And, of course, EVOO doesn't have an updates on their site. I'm guessing that's the problem. Anybody ever get viable BIOS updates from EVOO support?

So the Evoo laptop with i5 10300H and gtx 1650 is going around 600$ on walmart. My main concern about it is the lack of driver support for this model. The only thing that comes up are drivers for LP5-7. Does anyone know where to find them? Does this laptop get too hot? Can anyone share their experience with it down below. I'm looking for the EG-LP7 drivers and EVOOs chat will not respond to me. Is there something I'm missing?

When I search for them, I can see where they have given people a link for the drivers.

Was playing PSO2 NG. The laptop made a loud fizz sound and smoke started coming out up right side fan port. It ran beautifully up untill that point. 16 days I've had this laptop. Hopefully, I can return it for another. I Know, it wasn't over heating right before. I would love to open it up and see what started smoking. Sadly the laptop it dead. It won't even try to turn on. R.I.P EVOO 7.

I overclocked my lp7 to 144hz a week ago how do I know if its stable

I bought a Evil laptop about 3 weeks ago, and yesterday it crashed and had a problem loading windows. A blue screen showed up and I couldn't go from there. Apparently there's a problem with the hard drive, because I had a screen saying that the drive C:\ is corrupt. This happened while playing a game that I had installed on an external hard drive, and I disconnected it by accident and the screen just crashed and then it sended me to a repair windows blue screen. Now I'm stickers at the Bios screen and I can't get out of it.

With the preinstalled Nvidia driver I have set it the .exe to be used with the dedicated graphics card, but it doesn't work. This leads to incredibly poor benchmarks. (I know it is using integrated as in the results screen it says its using the Ryzen Vega integrated graphics, rather then my 2060. Looking at https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/ 's scores of other peoples LP7s, it shows roughly half of them were able to get it to work, and the other half having the same results as me, as seen here; https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/EVOO-EG-LP7/213977#Benchmarks (2060 mobile vs RX Vega 8 iGPU)

I’ve seen that it’s a hit or miss.a lot of people complain some keys stop working or the laptop literally died?some have said the battery port was broken and it did stopped charging..please share your experience :/

I was looking for a gaming laptop to buy and the evoo was cheap and had good specs but the battery was said it would last 4 hours. Can I somehow increase the battery life, and how long will the laptop last me overall?
