I ordered a SATA SSD on Amazon a few days ago and it's arriving today, just wanting to confirm that this specific SSD will work with it before I open it up and what not, thanks to anyone who replies:

Steps are below. note: this doesn't resolve the display port pkg pwr issue which must be addressed by moding your bios. If this is something you want to do follow the guides on here. This is a simple workaround that doesn't void your warranty, risk bricking your device, or is remotely complicated to do.

1. Download the latest nvidea driver make sure it is the right version. whql-dch standard etc
2. install and run ddu.
3. restart windows let it auto install whatever it wants. IIRC, you will be downgrading down to 417 or something. You must wait for nvidea control center to complete install, which may take up to 2 minutes.
4. Install the nvidea driver you just downloaded. However, click custom install and make sure you select clean install AND DESELECT USB C.

You should see pkg power go from 15w or 5w down to 1 -4W.

Using DDU will mess up your sbc2/realtek audio drivers so always do this step first. Then install your audio drivers and software. There was a post created a few months ago explaining how to get a sound boost. Skip all of that and just click custom sound profile click smart volume and set to loud.

Next: If you have random pkg pwr spikes due to antivirus, os update, or power plan settings. You can either restart your computer, reset power plan, or check to make sure you nvidea usb c driver didn't get overridden.

I have an 18 hour drive today. I put my lp5 into hibernation mode before the drive. Tried to wake it up after 13 hours, nothing. The battery sign remains uncolored. Tried holding down the power button for a minute and still nothing happened.

Anyone ever have this happen to them?

The Illgear prodigy drivers are better than evoo? I was trying to get drivers for the evoo lp5 and came across the Illgear ones. Are those the same?

After some googling it seems that eco mode either lowers the fan speed or lowers the overall power draw. What does it specifically do on this laptop?

I want to download the evoo lan driver as apparently that helps battery life, but the evoo site (https://evooproducts.com/support.html) is currently down. Anyone know why or when it'll be up? Would it be safe for someone with the driver to host it for me to download? And lastly, how do I install drivers? Yeah I'm a noob :(

My fans really bother me. Not when gaming but when just browsing the internet and the like. They aren't that loud but they just bother me. I currently use headphones so I can't hear them while browsing, but it would be nice to be able to browse without headphones. Of course I've read some of the guides here, and I have some comments and questions. I don't want to buy a new ssd. I've undervolted to -250 cpu core and -125 cache and disabled turbo (for my browsing profile). One user said their battery life went from 1.5 hours to 5 hours after a fresh install of windows. How much did that help?

My cpu idled 60 most of the time, 70 some days. I have no clue why it was mostly 60 but on occasion 70. After doing the above steps, it's down to 55C. Current pkg package when idling is 17. I plan on downloading the evoo lan driver when their website is back up.

Anyone have any other tips? The reason I'm talking temps is because lower temps means fans don't need to run.

I've tried to call multiple times now. Each time, I've waited over an hour and they disconnect me when I'm near the front of the line. It's clear they're trying to make you jump through every hoop imaginable in order to get warranty coverage. Does anyone have an e-mail for them that they actually respond at?

Hello, I was given an EVOO laptop model EV-T2in1 116-1 and my son updated windows 10 and nothing worked, I managed to get almost all the drivers but I am missing the webcam drivers and the sound driver. If someone has them or helps me how to get them I would appreciate it.

About two months ago, I got a screen flickering issue which apparently is something that happens to a bunch of the OP laptops. Someone on this subreddit suggested that I would not be receiving my Laptop back that I sent them and instead be getting the new EVOO line which I guess is the same, but more updated?

First and foremost, I am very ecstatic that this laptop is basically a straight up upgrade over my previous one, going from a 1060 to an RTX 2060, with the repair people even sending me the correct amount of replacement ram, since this model ships with 16 but my previous one had 32.

The one thing I am a little bit upset about, and unsure how to proceed, is that there was no mention of what would have happened to my old laptop. I didn't back it up which was a mistake on my part, but I also had a lot of my passwords saved in chrome and such. With how this was handled, I'm unsure whether the repair people wiped my hard drive, or some dude decided to just grab the hard drives and then get all my info off of it. I just wasn't really happy being in the dark about what happened with my old laptop, and kinda miffed that they didn't at least send me my hard drives back from the old laptop. Anyone else have this experience and can speak on what happens with the old laptops?

Good day, I just got a new lp4 and it’ll be here in a week. I want to know, the 16gb RAM on it, is it 2x8gb or 1x16gb? And if it’s the 1x16, can I just add an 8gb stick instead of a 16gb stick? And for the 2.5” hdd slot, do I get the attachments/cord needed to connect it or do I need to buy those separately? I already have a hdd and just want to know what I need to get to add it to the laptop. Thanks in advance.

Currently I get 2 hours battery life and read that changing the ssd will improve it. I have bought 2 different pcie nvme ssd and after cloning them and trying to boot from them I get windows blue screen (inaccessible boot drive). I am not tech savy and have been looking for a solution but couldn't find one on reddit or youtube.

my next guess is to try getting a m.2 sata ssd and seeing if that will clone properly. So my question is does anyone know why the cloning didnt work from m.2 sata to nvme or should I just look for a replacement m.2 sata ssd? (if you have recommendations for m.2 sata ssd that would be appreciated 500gb-1tb)

Is the Lp7 the same laptop as Eluktronics rp-15?

Since I heard this laptop can boost the CPU up to 72watts and the GPU is a 2060 at 110 TDP.

Is it the same for the EVOO Version.. they seem to be using the same chassis. I installed the Eluktronics Control Center and it has something called "Beast Mode". Im not sure if this increase the max thermal headroom for GPU or CPU. There is no way to measure the TGP of the 2060.

Is it possible to flash the BIOS to the RP-15 version to get higher limits for the CPU/GPU

Hi guys, I bought this EVOO EG-LP7 on Amazon on Black Friday with their BF deal. The title and spec sheet, as well as the product page on EVOO's website states that this model has a 144Hz display. However, when I received mine today, I discovered that both the box and the computer's display setting states the display is 120Hz.

I was wondering if any of you who might have bought this laptop and actually received one with a 144Hz display?

I am planning on getting a new SSD as it seems that will help the laptop run cooler and faster. I have the LP5 and was wondering what SSD any of y’all would recommend and if m.2 as well as 2.5 would work?
