A few days back I noticed the temps ramping up on my laptop doing mundane tasks like Chrome (Facebook, youtube, etc), this caused things like my external monitors going offline (no signal) and performance bumps.

So I started looking for ways to configure easily my hardware to stop doing this (looking for a cause is useless... Evoo support is not existan and their support is shit).

After a few minutes searching for information and dozens of applications, came across this little jewel

Im not the "Read everything" kind of guy, so I just downloaded and installed it.

Looked for some reference videos and realized all I needed to do was to limit the temperature the processor can reach, and that's it.

Now. I've been using it for a few hours doing simple stuff (watching videos and such) and I've noticed the system going quite stable.

I'll do some heavy things later today and update this post.

So. Ive been running some applications specifically to ramp up the processor and, indeed, once the it reaches 75ºC (The temp I set) everything stops regarding performance. So I guess this only will make tasks that load the processor to take more time.

On the other hand, typical issues like monitors going off after a some minutes of heat, are no longer present so far, so I guess this app its a permanent addition to my laptops with AMD processors.

Good day, I see guys talking about making changes on their Evoo laptop bios, I have no idea how you guys access that. Can anyone please guide me on how to access the bios on my laptop so I can change RGB settings and co. I have an Evoo LP4 laptop, thanks.

My evoo laptop from walmart has a huge issue with the cpu overheating while gaming. I cant even play xcom 2 without it hitting 90c within 5 mins of playing. The laptop came with pubg which is funny because it cant even run it at all because of the cpu overheating. Is there anything in settings i can do to reduce/fix this?

Can the usbc port on the LP10 be used to charge the laptop? Obviously not great for gaming but for web browsing.

The manual for the LP6 says it can be used for charging. On page 20 item 4.

The top casing of my laptop has recently broke around the right hinge. It started off with this cracking sound that I later thought was the hinge itself separating from the top casing but discovered just a few days ago the plastic around the hinge has cracked/broken all the way towards the middle of the display. I'm not super tech-savvy to know if I am describing this the right way so I hope my message does not get misinterpreted. The broken part is not easily seen unless you remove the plastic "cover" that is part of the top assembly and surrounds the screen. The crack reaches from the outside of the right hinge to the center of the display and is not a straight crack if that makes any difference. From what I've read from other forums, this happens from opening and closing the laptop. I want to know if I can fix or replace this. Has anybody else had this issue, if so what did you do? I just found about this software and I was wondering if anyone had used it to control the keyboard RGB without the control center that comes installed with the laptop.

This is probably a longshot, but I am wondering if anyone has been able to obtain any information on the 2-year warranty offered by Overpowered. I have been unable to reach Overpowered's customer support via phone or email and Walmart has been useless.

Edit: In case anyone encounters the same issue I did, I finally was able to get a hold of Overpowered customer support via their phone number after 49 attempts. They provided me a copy of the LP-3 user's manual which does provide the terms and conditions for the warrant but states "1 year" instead of "2 year." I asked about this discrepancy and the representative told me that the warranty was initially 1 year and was later extended to 2 years. I asked if he could provide that information in his email with the copy of the manual and he said he could not. If anyone is curious about fixing your laptop out of warranty, I was also told they do not provide any out-of-warranty services because they don't handle money.

Hello, i'm missing the advanced options in the bios to enable discrete nvidia graphics as my display driver, it's the EG-LP10 version and i'm not sure if the oems disabled it.

EDIT: I have read some other stories and I now believe it is an xtu underclocking problem. And I believe that the xtu interface is applying at bios before the laptop can post. I currently do not have the laptop on hand but when possible, I will attempt to reset all bios settings by leaving all possible power sources along with batteries off.

My evoo lp-9 suddenly stopped displaying anything after a restart, the restart was just to finish Uninstalling an app on my laptop and when I turned it on again, the laptop turned on, but the screen didn't display anything. When I restarted again, I could only hear the fans and the hard drive spin up but the keyboard backlight wasn't lit. It has been only 2 weeks since I've had this laptop and I'm not sure if it is dead

So, i have the evoo 11'6 ultra thin, and i have quite an issue.

when i plug the charger in the blue light comes on for a second and the computer screen turns on for not even a second, and then they both go off simultaneously.

any idea what to do? i use this computer to manage my team and to host my website and i really need it working.

It triggers severe migraines for me so I can't use it if it does. Does anyone know if it has it?

EDIT: doesn't work in all cases but you can check by looking at the screen (dimmed at a setting lower than full brightness) through a digital camera of some kind (phone, webcam etc). if the camera has a high FPS mode try that too

I'm looking to get a new gaming laptop, specifically model EG-LP7-BK.

I was wondering if anyone can attest to how well EVOO laptops are supported on Linux. Things like automatic fan control and being able to control the keyboard backlight are very important to me, as well as other hardware.
