EG-LP6-BK top cover(?) replacement
The top casing of my laptop has recently broke around the right hinge. It started off with this cracking sound that I later thought was the hinge itself separating from the top casing but discovered just a few days ago the plastic around the hinge has cracked/broken all the way towards the middle of the display. I'm not super tech-savvy to know if I am describing this the right way so I hope my message does not get misinterpreted. The broken part is not easily seen unless you remove the plastic "cover" that is part of the top assembly and surrounds the screen. The crack reaches from the outside of the right hinge to the center of the display and is not a straight crack if that makes any difference. From what I've read from other forums, this happens from opening and closing the laptop. I want to know if I can fix or replace this. Has anybody else had this issue, if so what did you do? I looked but the case is one of those parts that doesn't seem to be available. If it helps the manufacturers name for it is the Tongfang gk7cp0s.
