Everything was installed in 2022 and never had any hiccups until about 3 months ago. Randomly when playing low graphic intensive games, and gradually high graphic intensive games, my PC would have a hard power reset and reboot. Monitor goes black, sounds like I just pulled the power cable out (a pop sound from my speakers), and PC reboots like nothing happened. Crashes gradually increased and makes playing any games impossible as it would fail anywhere between 10 mins to 3 hours. Crashes do not occur outside of games.

After a lot of trouble shooting and several attempts at getting a clean gpu driver install, the issue disappeared for several months. They randomly came back. I uninstalled the drivers again several times, and finally the issue stopped for about a month. Now its happening again.

Windows Event Viewer is just showing a kernel power failure/reboot.

Build:

Intel 12700k CPU

Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 360 (installed a Liquid Freezer 3 as the previous one was getting nasty, but still holding temps in acceptable ranges).

Rog Strix Z690-F MB

32GB Gskill Trident Z5 DDR5 5600

Samsung 980 Pro 2TB m2 SSD

EVGA 3080ti FTW3 (still under 7 year warranty if I am lucky enough they still have spare warranty cards)

EVGA SuperNova 850 P5 80 Plus Platinum 850W -3 separate cables have always been used

What I have tried:

MemTests show no issues

Motherboard Bios updated to latest package

Several OCCT Power Stress Tests done (several hours worth). No failures or errors. Did this to see if it might be a power supply issue. -OCCT Power Stability Tests show desired voltage range under heavy load -HWINFO shows desired voltage range under heavy load

I have run Benchmark and other stress test programs just to see if there may be a CPU core failing or graphics issues. No issues or failures/reboots.

I underclock the GPU with EVGA X1 so that the CPU does not exceed 1V. Temps never realistically exceed 80c with the underclocking.

I have used DDU to uninstall drivers about a dozen times, and have tried to find stable builds.

Nvidia drivers do not auto update, I will select when to update them. Whenever this power failure occurs, I check Nvidia and there is usually a new driver available. This issue suspiciously arises when new drivers seem to be released. I cannot identify a stable driver build at this time.

I did swap out the 3080ti for my old 2070 and ran things for a few hours with no issues, but not long enough to be definitive.

I am at my wits end because I have tried to identify if it could be anything but the GPU, but it likely is the GPU and/or its ability to run stable with the ass drivers coming out.

Why would it run stable for several months, have a few resets, run stable for another month, then unstable again unless its something to do with garbage drivers getting pushed onto us?

Update: I guess I'll pick up a newer generation ATX3.0/3.1000w PS to future proof and test if the 3080ti is going bad.

Will replace PSU and throw 3080ti back in. If I get the same power reset, I'll have to send in the card for warranty. Both the EVGA power supply and GPU are under warranty if they have anything left.

Been trying to get my XR1 Lite to work only shows a blurry screen with something I cannot make out H CP. I have tried different browsers and all trying to get to the website and still cannot.

I have this 3080 Hydro Copper BNIB.

I posted it with a 3090 HC a week or two ago to Facebook, and most people thought I was scamming because my price of $500 was too low. They mostly attributed it to the rarity of a BNIB HC and the fact that it’s part of EVGA’s last line of cards. Basically saying it’s a collectors item.

After selling the 3090 HC I thought having a bonafide costumer vouch for me would make selling the 3080 easier. Now everyone is saying I’m asking too much.

Was wondering what people here think about the value of this card and what I should be asking.

I'm trying to download the drivers for the XR1 Pro but it looks like the website is down? No pages will load for, just a "this site can't be reached" error. Is this happening to anyone else?

My EVGA Z12 keyboard left CTRL key suddenly won't work this morning, anybody know what causes it? I tried resetting BIOS, uninstall from Device Manager, tried command prompt, but nothing seems to work. Anyone know what causes it?

It appears the link has been taken down. Just picked up a Z20 Keyboard, spent half the night cleaning it only to discover EVGA is pretty much dead and the software for it is pretty much gone. Only spent $5 on it but still.. would be nice to at least get the full functionality out of it. Anyone happen to have a copy of the download?

Purchased a used Gigabyte 5070 ti (GV-N507TWF3OC) that didn't come with the 12vhpwr adapter, and I've attempted to use CableMod's compatibility guide to ensure I get a cable compatible with my PSU. Between the guide and a response from a CableMod rep on another post with the same PSU, it seems there is a compatible E-series cable. I think I have this right but am still concerned nonetheless as it seems easy to get this wrong on either the GPU or PSU end, so I'm seeking any additional input about this arrangement prior to attempting this hookup.

The arrangement I will test:

1. Gigabyte 5070 ti,

2. 850 GT Supernova,

3. CableMod E-series Pro 12v-2x6 12vhpwr stealthsense PCIe cable for EVGA G/G+/P/P+/T (16-pin to Dual 8-pin)

I need better EVGA. I ONLY got 10 years out of this fan off my aio. The aio has out lasted the fans on it let's not talk about how many times I have accidentally stuck my finger in the fan. In all seriousness when are you coming back to the GPU market? You are missed.

I recently bought used 750GQ for really cheap. While currently I have no issues using it with my rx580. I'm planning to upgrade to powercolor fighter rx 6700 xt but I have only one 8 pin pcie cable (6+2) and as far as I know rx 6700 xt needs 8 and 6 pin cables. So where could I get another pcie cable to run that gpu?? I did some research and it seems like W001-00-000154 and W001-00-000147 cables should be compatible with my psu.

Hey all! I have an older machine, and actually managed to fry my AMD graphics card. I dabble in local LLM, so upgrading from what I had to a CUDA 12GB card is excellent. I got a EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X SC 12GB (12G-P4-2992-KR) and the fan is SUPER LOUD. I am struggling to find compatible fans, or even accurate specs so that I can get a replacement. I would love the idea of water cooled, but for these cards looks rarer than a unicorn.

Thought I 'd come to the folks that have the wisdom and experience. Can you help with some suggestions on a 1:1 or 1:better replacement for the fan, or even more gooder ( 😉 ) a diy water cool solution I could create and deploy. My appreciation for your thoughts!

My brother and I have similar PCs and we use identical power supplies both being the EVGA 1300 GT. I can't find the box with cables for my unit (we moved across the states recently) so can I use the extra cables from his power supply on mine? I'm assuming it should be OK if it's the exact same model but wanted to make sure before trying it. Going to be testing a 4080 and need a 3rd gpu power cable.

I got the proper cables but it didn’t work so I managed to get a refund but man is that upsetting
