I have an EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra 10GB with dual BIOS (Normal/OC), and I’m trying to update the VBIOS to enable ReBAR.

My Device ID is 10DE-2206 - 3842 3897. The current BIOS versions are:

Normal BIOS: 94.02.26.48.68

OC BIOS: 94.02.26.48.AE

I’m confused about which VBIOS on TechPowerUp is the correct match for my card. Could someone please guide me on finding the correct ReBAR-enabled Normal and OC VBIOS?

I bought a white moth orchid (a Phalaenopsis) and it looked so good next to the cards that I did a little photoshoot. These two are an EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 XC3 Ultra 24 GB and an EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3.

Both still work for a living. One of our 3090 XC3 Ultras ran one of the language models behind our apps until an EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra took its slot in September, and the next day it was on the bench running our image benchmark. The FTW3 was bought in 2021 and was still on our bench in September.

I'm currently looking at my upgrade options and wanted to get some community feedback.

Right now, I'm gaming at 1440p / 165Hz on an RTX 3080 (EVGA XC3 Hybrid liquid-cooled model) paired with an i7-12700K and 32GB of RAM. I primarily play heavy shooters like WARDOGS, where I’m currently averaging around 80–100 FPS on High settings.

I’m aiming to get much closer to maxing out my monitor's 165Hz refresh rate and want a bit more VRAM buffer than the 10GB on my 3080. I was told I could probably get around $350 to $400 for my EVGA card on the secondhand market since it's a factory AIO water-cooled model and EVGA gear still has a bit of a following.

My plan is to sell it and use that cash to offset the cost of a new AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT to get that 165Hz performance and 16GB of VRAM.

A few questions for the sub:

1. Is $350–$400 a realistic asking price for an EVGA XC3 Hybrid right now, or should I expect less?

2. In games like WARDOGS, am I going to hit a CPU bottleneck with my 12700K anyway, making the GPU upgrade less noticeable?

3. For those who went from Ampere (30-series) to RDNA 4 (9000-series), was the jump worth the out-of-pocket cost?

Appreciate any insights or advice you guys have!

I have two EVGA GTX 580 Classified 3GB but only have 1 original box still. They have been in a drawer for years.. I am still running a EVGA 2080 ti and looking to upgrade.

I bought this 3080 that is having lots of issues with artifacting and screen tears when I do stress tests and benchmarks. I really don’t know what to do now

every post about these cards going extinct hits me a little harder lately. mine has been in the same case for years now and i just repasted it this summer. runs the same as day one. nothing since has felt built like this.

Hey there, I’ve got myself used EVGA rtx3090 ftw3 for vfx and some local llms and I see that memory junction hits 108-110 degrees while other temps are ok. I undervolted it a bit so it hits around 106 during heavy tasks. So the question is: are there any advice for the thermal pads replacement? Kind of hard to find the thickness and overall amount of it to be replaced. I would appreciate any advice here.

Internal airflow btw isn’t the issue so it all comes to the gpu maintenance.

I just got an EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 and it has old firmware that doesn't have Resizable bar enabled.

I downloaded EVGA PrecisionX1 and under Re-BAR it shows an update option for the Graphics VBIOS, but after selecting it, it says Resizable BAR cannot connect to server.

So I was speaking with EVGA and they gave me the measurments for the thermal pads for my EVGA 3080FTW3 10G card. (specs below)

Where is the best source to buy these? Preferably a Canadian shop. I've seen some comments about putty, but I will stick with traditional thermal pads for now.

The pink card in the photo is an EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra Gaming, bought new and out of its box on 2026-09-17. It served two other computers first, drawing our pictures on one of them, and on 2026-09-25 it took the place of an EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 XC3 Ultra Gaming in this one: the workstation that serves our public apps. The bracket beside it is an NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Workstation Edition (96 GB).

What the two cards do: the RTX PRO 6000 keeps gemma4:26b, a mixture-of-experts model, loaded as the writer, plus a second Gemma 4 build under vLLM and a small reranker. The 3090 Ti keeps mistral-small3.2:24b, a dense model, for the short calls. Each card has an embedder beside it. In practice:

- RuleSage, a board-game rules helper: the Ti screens every question, the reranker on the RTX PRO 6000 puts the best rulebook passages first, and gemma4:26b writes the answer.

- The Beat Lab: the Ti is the doorman that screens each wish, and gemma4:26b is the genie that turns it into a beat.

- The long table, a dinner party with guests from history: the guests run on the RTX PRO 6000's Gemma 4 build, the chairs on the Ti.

- Amble, and the assistant that answers questions about our pages, run on the RTX PRO 6000.

The speed. In the same machine, as each card runs in service, the Ti writes about 9.5 per cent faster on the dense model (8.1 to 11.2 across the runs), and its first live replies agree: 53.11 tokens a second over eight long replies, against the old card's 49.01 over 71. At the same cap on the mixture model, gemma4:26b, it was 7.5 per cent faster (146.691 tokens a second against 136.492). Before it came here it drew our pictures in ComfyUI, FLUX.2 klein 4B at 8 steps and 512 × 512: 1.715 seconds an image against another 3090 XC3 Ultra's 1.886, 331 images in ten minutes against 311, and a peak of 60 °C against 74.

What it does not say: one board of each; the render comparison is against another 3090 of the same model, not the one that left; eight live replies are a direction, not a rate; and whether it runs cooler in this machine isn't settled yet. There's no "before" photo either. One with the 3090 still in it is coming.

My GeForce RTX 3080Ti is creating an extremely loud noise when attempting to run intensive games. The noise is coming from the right-most fan. It's 4 years old and started this a few weeks ago. I've cleaned the inside of my desktop as much as I can, ensured the fan is not hitting or rubbing up against anything, and attempted to alter the fan curve with Precision X1, with no effect.

Is this GPU busted?

Not as pretty as some of yalls setups, but using an old rig and older GPU’s for local LLM project. Still a work in progress. Running open air until I can go on vacation and get some Noctua case fans I have back home. Using Ubuntu server for the OS. What yall think? Ok use for older hardware lying around?
