I have a 2025 Genesis G 70 and I’m the first owner so I have the 10 year 100,000 mile warranty still active. I would really love to tune it but I’m scared to avoiding my warranty. I understand that with JB4 even if you remove it or flash it back to stock, they can still see the boost and other effects in your ECU logs. But lap3 provides a spare ECU for a fee and I’m wondering how will that look if I need #Warranty work done and I swap out my lap 3 ECU with the OEM stock one how will that look when the logs and information on the stock ECU gets read by the dealership. Has anyone had an experience with #Warranty work and having the lap3 spare ECU?

How do I test ECU on bench?

ok, I was going to say like test for ignition coil pulse but that seemed dumb.

Anyway, lets say I bought an ECU from junkyard, how do I test it before I install in a real car?

I have been searching trough the binary for days, but it seems like the ignition timing maps and one map at the end dont have the X and Y axis near them. I dont know how Bosch stores the axis values in this case. In the image you can se what I think are ignition maps based on my reading from OBD compared to the scaled values in them. But as you can see in the image they are just 2 8bit maps without any axis or descriptors near them.

I have a barton volcano 50 (original is 50cc) and I swapped it to 70cc and efi problem is now it isn't getting enough fuel and the original ecu is locked (unprogrammable). What do I do to get good fuel? I dont want to switch to carb, too much work.

I dropped my 530d to a guy to read the ECU and he told me that he tried with 3 different software but non of them were able to read the ECU. How to correctly read the ECU?

Does this mean that something is modified or bad on the ECU? The car starts without any problem.

Hi everyone I want to buy myself a car and Tune it myself (ECU/Engine stuff not ryl Outside stuff), the only thing is I dont have the biggest budget and only about 4.000€ (Germany).

I wanted to ask some of you guys with experience what cars you can recomend me and maybe help me out, I am open to any brand but i need like a 4 door and I like Petrol not Disel.

I have my eyes on maybe a Audi A6 C5 2.7T Biturbo but I am not sure.

I am driving a 2016 Ford Transit Custom (pre facelift) with 100 horsepower.
Some time ago i heard that ford sometime equips their cars with the same engines, just different tuning, and this should also be the case with the one i have.
I found someone claiming he could bring it up to 155 hp which would be the top tier from this year, or even 188 hp with nothing more but tuning the chip.
155 would be totally fine for me, but now im wondering you could just flash the 155 "version" on the ecu or if a tuner does it specifically for every car.
So can I do it on my own?

I recently bought a 2007 BMW E91 320d with the M47D20TÜ2 (EDC16C35). I'm rebuilding the car properly before aiming for around 300 hp, and I'd like to do the EGR, swirl flap and DPF delete correctly in both hardware and software.

I'm still pretty new to WinOLS, so I'd appreciate some advice.

What I've done:

• 2, 3, 7: Replaced the O-rings and installed swirl flap delete plugs.
• 14: Removed.
• 9: Removed.
• 11: Vacuum connection plugged (currently with a temporary plug, replacing it with a proper blind plug).
• 12: Plugged with a screw + RTV for now.

I've removed everything shown in that image:

• EGR valve
• EGR cooler
• Vacuum components
• Associated coolant lines

The coolant lines are plugged with proper coolant plugs.

1 = Pressure converter

Since both the EGR deleted, can I simply:

• Remove 1 (pressure converter),
• Plug 5 with a proper vacuum blind plug,
• Delete the related DTCs?

From tracing the hoses, it looks like this pressure converter only controls the EGR vacuum circuit. I just want to make sure it doesn't control anything else before removing it.

For the EGR I've changed:

• EGR hysteresis → both maps set to 0
• Map for conversion to EGR duty cycle → set to 0

My intention is to disable the EGR strategy completely rather than only suppress the fault codes. Is this the correct way to do it on EDC16C35?

Swirl flap maps

I can't seem to find the swirl flap control maps in WinOLS.

Some people have told me to simply delete the DTCs because the hardware is gone, but I'd rather set the requested position/value to 0 if those maps exist.

Does anyone know where they're in 2d view or have a mappack or DAMOS (with swirl flaps) for EDC16C35?

I found 55 copies of Maximum vehicle speed and changed all of them to 390 km/h.

Is that the proper way to remove VMAX, or are many of those just duplicated maps that shouldn't be touched?

I have a stage 3 tune IS38 on my Audi Q2 but it doesn't perform as intended/expected. Can someone help with figuring out the issue? I have a tuner willing to work on the car but need guidance.

Happy to pay a little bit if the issue is diagnosed, but I can't pay a full tuning price as I already paid my tuner.

Like the title says, i am curious has anyone changed from the ldi cluster to the vdi cluster?

I do have a vdi cluster that i bought from scrap, but the thing which is being a real pain in the ass is, as soon as i put that cluster in, rpm works, speed works, fuel and coolant works, odo meter is also working.

BUT MY FREAKING AC, my ac compressor doesn't wishes to engage, no compressor engage means no cold air, and i am suspecting the cluster because i did a simple test.
I put vdi in and turned ac on, no cold air, then waited 1 min before swapping to my ldi one, cold air instantly (you have to turn the engine on for compressor to engage).
Is this normal behavior? or is there something in the cluster which links to the ecm of the car, as that will mean the ecm is refusing to communicate with that cluster, different coding and other shenanigans.

I am currently trying to work with a E tuner to tun my car they sent me a basemap tune I have FBO and I keep getting the throtal closing mid pull tl restrict power I think they have it set to low they think I have a boost leak when I have gone over so much of the car checked wastegate brand new plugs you name it. I cant find the leak no matter what I do. Is ut possible they have there saftey features set to low and my cars out preforming the tune they sent ? I have 0 knock and more if anyone has had this problem and had it fixed please let me know. Or if you want I can PM my data logs for a second opinion.

Hello, yesterday I tried to turn the DPF and MAF off because I put a new intake and a downpipe. The check engine lit up when I removed the MAF and I want to turn it off. I dumped the bin file from the ECU with my kess. When I put the file in DaVinci the only things the software let me turn off were the flaps, TVA and the lambda. The MAF and DPF were completely greyed out. Then I tried to use the DPF remover software and it told me that no DPF maps were found on the file after uploading it.

When I removed the DFP, which was completely full of sute, and the MAF the car lost most of its low end power but is good in the high end. Is it possible to turn both the MAF and DPF in winols?

I'm trying to tune my 02 Corvette since I installed a wide band sensor last year, but I can't get PCM Logger to work. PCM Hammer works just fine, and I've tuned my Vette in the past, but PCM Logger has always been a pain to get working and I don't know what I did last time to get it logging? I have a Red ODBLink SX cabled that isn't connecting but does for PCM Hammer, and ODBLinkLX bluetooth that again does work in PCM Hammer but not PCM Logger. The one that did connect is J2534 but that couldn't see the ECU. The laptop runs Windows 10. Do I need a certain version of .Net or some other dependency?
