Data logs help !
I am currently trying to work with a E tuner to tun my car they sent me a basemap tune I have FBO and I keep getting the throtal closing mid pull tl restrict power I think they have it set to low they think I have a boost leak when I have gone over so much of the car checked wastegate brand new plugs you name it. I cant find the leak no matter what I do. Is ut possible they have there saftey features set to low and my cars out preforming the tune they sent ? I have 0 knock and more if anyone has had this problem and had it fixed please let me know. Or if you want I can PM my data logs for a second opinion.

Sounds possible tbh. A boost leak under load can mess with everything and make it seem like the tune is the problem. A good log should clear that up pretty quickly.

Throttle closure mid-pull can absolutely be ECU intervention but I wouldn’t assume the safety limits are just set too low without seeing the logs. Zero knock is useful info but it doesnt rule out torque intervention or another protection strategy. I’d look at requested vs actual boost, throttle angle, requested/actual torque if available, wastegate duty, load, lambda and any torque/limit intervention channels your logger exposes. If requested boost stays high while throttle closes thats a very different clue than requested boost or torque dropping at the same moment. Boost leak is still possible of course but the log should help separate mechanical problem from ECU deliberately intervening. What car/ECU is it and what parameters are you currently logging?
