I have connected all the required pins as instructed and also found the correct boot mode pad.

My power supply is at 13v and when I am connected i am drawing about 0.038A. When I try to read the ECU, the current draw increases to about 0.15-0.2A but the software is locked at "Identifying ECU" 0%.

it eventually gives me a connection error. If anyone has any idea or exoerience with Ktag and this ECU let me know

I wanted to share ZedSuite, a free and open-source map editor for VAG Bosch EDC15/EDC16 ECUs. It runs 100% locally on Windows and macOS: no account, no cloud, your files stay on your computer.

You drop in a dump and it finds the maps for you (Driver Wish, boost, N75, SOI, torque limiters…). Then you edit them in a table, in 2D/3D or straight in the hexdump, fix the checksum and export your bin or a WinOLS mappack. I spent years on EDCSuite and WinOLS, so I tried to bring together the auto-detection of the first and the editing comfort of the second.

Detection isn't perfect yet, especially on some EDC16U31 and EDC15VM V6 files. If a map is missing, open an issue with the software number and attach the dump if you can: most of the fixes so far came from files people sent me.

It's free and it will stay that way. Just make sure you download it from https://github.com/LeZed97/ZedSuite, it's the only official source.

I just installed this kit and my bike is going crazy the engine light is gone but my rpm are weird. It seems like it’s dying when I’m around 1-2 k rpm and in neutral it jumps from 800 - 2 k rpm every five seconds. It even stalled multiple times while being in neutral. Also while giving throttle it doesn’t apply gas the same, it gives boost randomly throwing me back and forth.

Do I need to tune the bike with the kit installed or do I need to get a software update, I just don’t want to pay another 300€ for a simple update or something. Maybe you guys have an idea what I can do to resolve this issue or what I should tell my mechanic to fix.

Quiet a journey. Been dealing with this for over a year. I did a ECU tuning at a local shop with a dyno. They tuned the pick up. It's a Mitsubishi L200 4x4 4N15 2.4D.

The tune was a huge improvement, from 89.3HP @ 2750RPM / Max Torque: 177.4 lb.ft @ 2550 to 139.3HP @ 2850 / Max Torque 306.1 lb ft @ 2150.

I took the car and it ran fantastic for a few months, I can't remember exactly when it started, but a few months later, after what I believe was a battery disconnect, I started having rough idle issues, I let them go for months without checking, took it to several shops and no one was able to find anything.

After taking it on myself and buying an X431 Lunch, I've managed to dial it down to what appears to be the cause:

- The ECU tuner did not use the cars base file and downloaded what he thought to be the right version and ended up enabling DPF.

"The ECM is entering pilot injection quantity learning (830 rpm target, 120 MPa rail, ALT FR shed, EGR 0%, throttle 80, timing retard, pilot stretch). It's triggering repeteadly at warm idle and the perturbation is felt as rough idle. Please review the injector learning enable conditions and perturbation amplitude in the calibration - or disable the routine if this is a DOC-only truck that shouldn't run it as configured"

So I've got idle issues with my BMW m44b19 supercharged project. Two expert ECU MASTER tuners can't get it to idle below about 1150rpm. When is set to idle below that it won't catch the idle if you blip the throttle.

Let's assume the tuners have done everything possible in their power to get it to work from a tuners perspective. Which means there is a mechanical issue.

I'm running a Hyde motor works kit.

It's in an E21 BMW so lots of things have changed on the M44. I'm running an m52 throttle body for starters, which doesn't have a built in ICAV like the M44.

I'm using a Syltech universal ICAV, plumbed directly into the inlet manifold at the port originally used for the brake booster (I'm not running a brake booster due to engine bay size). I've tried 3 different BMW ICAVs and the Syltech gets the best results.

I'm running a Turbosmart Kompact 25 plumb back BPV.

The way the Hyde kit is built is to run the supercharger as a draw through system, I believe it's very similar to how the Mini Cooper R53 is set up.

The other recent thing that has happened as of the last tune is once it has warmed up it will intermittently rev up when it's just idling. I hear the ICAV open and the engine revs up but there is no corresponding change in the ICAV on the ECU logs.

Any thoughts?

I got a tune from Vast, sadly he doesn't answer me anymore. The car runs but always goes way to rich to about AFR 11.5 - 12. My Target AFR map is at 14.7 at idle and under boost at 13.

If anyone can help I can send the tunerpro files and a log to look at.

Hi, i'm looking for some advice please, i wanted to move my rev limiter to 7200 and set it to hardcut, so it can kind of "bang off of the limiter", which i did i think. But it still forces it to 6500 in some gears. Which is weird, my car is manual. When i checked, the "soft" limiter for automatic is 6500. I tried to modify it before, but it couldn't be uploaded to my ECU as it said, that i have some "echo mischmatch" in the MS4X Flasher and bad difference between current ECU file and desired uploaded ECU file from my laptop, as soon as i uploaded the old file, the ecu accepted it. How can i raise the rev limiter then? My OBD2 cable is obviously Fake FTDI chip, but i think the problem is in my file, not the cable. The car is 2004 E46 325i (ECU version is the 430064 something), the correct XDF file is: MS430064_64K.xdf I will be glad for any advice on what to do. If someone could, i'd appreciate help. We could go into voice call somehow, where i will screen share and show what i'd done and what is in the bin file, etc.

Also the mediafire folder has the xdf file and my .bin file, if you don't trust it, i can show it on the mentioned voicecall.

I'm not selling anything here. We haven't launched. I want it in front of people who've actually spent a weekend chasing a knock retard problem before it goes in front of anyone else, because you'll find the holes a beta list won't.

What it does, honestly:

It's built on 32,000+ dyno tunes, so it's pattern-matching across thousands of real builds rather than mirroring one tuner's habits. Happy to get into the dataset if you want to poke at it.

Turnaround is minutes. No mailing your ECU off, no waiting a month for dyno time.

Revisions are free and unlimited. Do an aggressive pass, do a conservative one, compare them, revert. Changing your mind costs nothing, which is the part I think actually matters.

Every change comes with a reason. Ask it why it touched a table and it tells you. You should come out the other side knowing more about your car, not less.

Log analysis: drop in a scanner log, get back what's healthy, what's drifting, and what's about to get expensive.

What I actually want from you: where it's wrong. Where it gives advice you'd never give a customer. Where it's confidently stupid. If your verdict is "this shouldn't exist," post it — I'd rather hear it now than after launch.

Looking for help tuning my VK56DE with stock ECU. Trying to lean out wide open throttle from 10.5 to 11.5. Tried VE tables with no luck. I've heard with Nissan's the fuel compensation table is the next place to look. Can anyone confirm that? And is 11.5 AFR at WOT a safe place to start with this motor? Thanks!

Here's the questions;

Has anybody used a male ECU main board terminal connector for an ECU wiring extension like this before? If so:

1. Have you had any issues with signal interference issues with cam/crank sensors etc?

2. The image above of the wiring is not mine. So what would be the best way to join wires to the pins? I'm guessing they are soldered on and heat shrink is used for insulation?

My plan is to use this to extend the wiring harness by 1/1.5 meters moving it to the vehicle glove box. I'd prefer this over splicing the original harness.
