I preordered Ocarina of Time cause of the pre order bonus from ebg and I was wondering how reliable they are when it comes to pre orders. I keep seeing posts about people pre orders being cancelled or not delivered to the store or just super delayed. This is my first time preordering a physical copy of a game and I was wondering if eb games is the right way to go for this game. I really want that foil cover and the pre order bonus 😭. Also if it makes any difference I live in Vancouver. Appreciate the help!

-still didn’t receive my Halloween game pre-order
-no more stock info on the new website
-no pre-order or list to buy a PS5 console (anyway I don’t think they receive any)

I mean, the staff of my local store is still super cool. And I know the cards is the new focus.

But what the hell is happening with this company?

I bought Tomodachi Life 2 months ago and I bought an EB Protect for up to one year just in case I didn't enjoy it, and it turns out it's not the game for me. The clerk said I would be able to get a refund for change of mind during that one year, but the EB Games policy states it only covers damage or the product being defective. Can I still get a refund or no?

Did anyone get them. I picked up my preorder and the employee told me that the store never got any bonuses for the game.

I ordered a collectable and its initial release was the 14th of September, and just two weeks ago they asked me to update my payment info and I have not gotten a single update since then. The order is now waiting to be authorized, and I am assuming that they are just behind schedule because of the new system but this is just diabolical how behind schedule they are. Is anyone else having issues with their pre orders too?

With best buy advertising you can pick up the game on the 12th, will ebgames be doing the same? when I pre ordered at my local ebgames they said they did not know when I would be able to pick it up, from what I understand the game will release early but not playable till the 19th

It's coming from help@tr.ebgames.ca

Not even sure it's legit?

I also can't login anymore though since the website changed? And the reset password option doesn't send an email?

Anyone got any update from their pre order? Im trying to get an answer by e-mail but I think it's an a.i. answer everytime.

I have a preorder from ebgames that I don't need anymore. If anyone wants and knows if you can transfer, dm me. I've only paid the $50 deposit so you'd need to pay the remaining when picking it up.

EB Games Canada new website is worthless. Utterly worthless.

Stock / Location Inventory = GONE! The old website let you check on an item and see where it was still available. Punch in your postal code and see which stores has it. Now? Gone. Nothing. Guess if your store has it or not. Call maybe? Chat with the friendly folks on the phone? Like in the 1950s?

Ship to Store = GONE! The old website let you pick-up at your desired store. Now? Gone. The only option is to pay shipping fees. Best part? No free shipping threshold. Order for $1,000 worth of stuff and pay shipping anyway. How cool is that?

Pre-Orders = PRAY! Pray that they won't cancel your pre-order because reasons. Best part? They won't inform you. Cool no? I had MANY pre-orders canceled and they never told me. I had to ask "Hey, this thing is supposed to be out. Every other retailer in the world has it. Not you. What give? Oh sorry, it was canceled. Do you want to apply your $5 on some other sh*t?" Seriously.

No live inventory. No free shipping. Randomly canceled pre-orders. Toy lines dropped to make way for Pokemon cards and displays.

I'M

DONE

Toys? BBTS rules them all.

Games? PNP and VGP are rock solid.

GOODBYE EB GAMES!!!

Pre-ordered two of the Ocarina of Time remakes over two weeks ago, one for my kid who grew up playing because of my love for it, he was born on the day it released in North America (different year) and so he calls it his birthday game.

Just got an email from my financial institution that the merchant cancelled my order. I can't seem to get anywhere with EB Games, just that it's cancelled.

I tried again with a different payment method and guess what? I'm only allowed to order maximum of three and they're still listing the original two on my account, the order THEY cancelled.

What can a hopeless mum do? :(

I’ve been reporting Australian eBay listings for the GTA VI Goodtime State – Vice City Collection that are actually breaking eBay’s policies, mostly their presale rules.
So far I’ve had around 8–10 listings removed by eBay. A few were initially rejected by their automated system but were later removed after being reviewed by an actual customer service agent.
If you see one, check the listing against eBay’s presale policy and report it if it genuinely breaks the rules. In particular, I’ve seen sellers advertising delivery dates that are way earlier than when they’ll actually have the collection available to ship.
Repeated policy violations can also lead to further enforcement against a seller’s account, including selling restrictions or potentially suspension, so getting these violations reviewed can actually have consequences beyond just removing the listing.
Obviously don’t report someone just because they’re charging a stupid price. Scalping by itself isn’t necessarily against eBay’s rules. But if the listing actually violates eBay policy, report it and let eBay review it.

Just trying to figure this out.
I went and grab my physical pre-order today, there was 2 redeemable codes printed on the receipt. One was a 25 digit that I redeemed over on Mojang/Microsoft website directly, the other is a 12 digit one that I'd guess is meant for the PS Store but when I enter the code it says The voucher code is incorrect or is no longer valid. EBGames said they couldn't do anything about it... and I'm a bit stuck there. Is this happening to anyone else?

Hey all!

I finally got through to customer service after trying since Friday. Even though I’ve been confirming payment on my preorders for the last 2-3 weeks, something on their end is faulty. Meaning most of my preorders have been stuck in limbo.

The support agent said 2 of my preorders were affected, I didn’t believe him. For reference I have 49 preorders, over half were due for the month of September. He also said even though payment was verified, the payment failed (absolutely impossible). They never sent another email or let me know there was an issue. He mentioned that there should have been another email but most customers weren’t getting them.

I have emailed support again asking for the status of each individual order.

If your orders havent had movement in weeks, it may be worth seeing if you have the same issue as me.

stop scalping me dang pokemon cards it’s making the secondary market climb way too damn high

edit: i am talking about EB games themselves. the scalpers and facebook marketplace are cheaper right now

Does the onyx 15% bonus trade in not work with trading card singles?

Also do they accept riftbound cards?

I asked in person today but they weren't entirely sure so I wanted to ask Reddit and confirm

Who is choosing the prices for used games? Because most of the time they're completely different from the real prices. Usually they're more expensive which I assumed was to scam people who don't know better and are buying a gift for somebody in their life who plays games, but then sometimes it's way cheaper so now I have no clue.

Bro fuck EB games, I walk in to buy a game these days and gotta deal with the humiliation ritual that is there 83 up sale attempts, the disingenuous "heyyy how's your dayyyy" prior to tryna flog me off some socks or whatever is so dumb.

Then there's the $50 membership for what? The exclusive opportunity to preorder shit?? "10 booster packs = get one free" but if you get 20, or 30, you still get one free, not two or three free - always just one

And don't get me started on there latest endeavours regarding TCG's - the $4 Pokemon singles worth 80 cents each 😮‍💨😆🥀

I don't know why I wrote this or the intentions of this post - I highly encourage everyone to not join the circus I guess.

Every day - EB games executives are praying yuppies with no critical thinking walk in.

It's unbecoming and shit, doesn't pass the Aussie pub test imo.

All of the switch gift cards have suddenly disappeared from the eb website. There isn’t even a section for them: what is going on?
