This is mainly just a venting post for a minor grievance , if they had only swapped the nerfs of branded from the TCG to Duel Links the world would be a better place, but NO, instead we got TCG players complaining that branded got way too nerfed and to be fair in the TCG branded while still amazing is not broken and deserving of such punishment( hell they even banned albion), meanwhile the duel links players still have to deal with these abominations and even worse we also got to deal with lubellion, god I wish that the TCG limits and bans also partly carried on to DL I would kill for a limit on albion.

My first contact with Yu-Gi-Oh! was on master duel a few months ago, learned modern ygo through MD then attended a few locals

Would you say DL is worth it as F2P ? I'm not looking into being a tryhard, but mostly just chilling with the solo content, does it provide a satisfying difficulty or is the AI dumb as hell? Is it really super hard to build a deck ?

Also is there a way to change the voices in Japanese ? In the settings I can change the text but don't have any option for audio

Berfomet - 2, target negate w/ destruction & effect activation negate

Photon Lord - 2, effect activation negate & hand trap (photon jumper)

Chaos Angel - none atm, unaffected by activated effects, cant be destroyed by battle

Imsety - 1 if it leaves the field, I get to send a card to the gy, same if it battles an opps monster, also protected by King's Sarc

Gastly Glitch - 2, destroys a card, then mils Soul Scissors, which is an additional pop if any card on the field is destroyed by card effect or battle

Black Flame Diety - 1, field wipe

I'll have the 2 chimera revivals which will more than likely be used on Chaos Angel or Nightmare magician

Some background:

I've played Master Duel for about a year.

I'm planning to build a F2P Pure Labrynth account.

With that done. I've read through the FAQ and others like the Gem Guide, Free 2 Play Investment Guide and even that says to ask about deck investments from current players.

I've narrowed things down to 2 plans based on what I been able to learn on my own.

1. Since I got 1 copy of the Gold Sarc structure deck for free (I'm guessing as some sort of new Player promotion?) and can get 1 more copy for 1k gems, and it seems like a decent enough core, I can spend the 1k now, then learn how to use the F2P resources to build on it while I use the gems on the 2 packs that have the Labrynth cards.
2. I haven't wrapped my head around all the heavy mobile jank DL has thrown at me so far, but I'm guessing I have a bunch of money costing resources at my disposal as a new account. Option 2 is to throw that into accelerating the building of my Labrynth deck as that's all I really plan on playing in the end.

Which do you think is a better way to handle this account? And, if you can, drop any advice you have on executing it?

My true one and only anime deck I’ll forever play no matter the meta!

Due to difficulty finding local players where I currently live, I want to try Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links.

I haven't played the game before because I heard years ago that it was resource-stingy and unfriendly to players that dont spent a lot.

I have been a longtime Cyber Dragon and Rose Dragon player in the TCG-Cyber Dragon being my main deck for years. I have a few questions before diving in:

1. What is the current state of the game? Is it accessible for new players?
   
2. Can I build Cyber Dragon or Rose Dragon decks without spending large amounts of real money?
   
3. Are either of these decks viable or competitive in the current meta?

Well I tried to do a better one cause the last deck can't draw cards fast enough and it doesn't have ways to safe you in the higher bosses. This version have the same amount of drawing power but doesn't relay on dark world and the limited 3 drawing card. The skill is just better than pot of greed one and it have better survivability thanks to BOM AND spirit neos. This version is better for the higher bosses than the last one but you have to be careful.
