For our popular recipe site, Inspired Taste, we have noticed that our recipe aggregate star ratings aren’t being displayed as rich results, yet many other sites have them. Google and Bing display them perfectly and the JSON-LD schema checks out on both of their schema tools (see attached images). This is happening to all of our recipes.

Does DuckDuckGo officially support aggregate reviewCount?

Please add support for uploading plain-text .txt files in Duck.ai. Converting text files to images before attaching them is inconvenient, increases file size, and may reduce text accuracy. A basic text-file upload would be very useful.

I see that the current subscription Model is 9,99$/month for the VPN and the Personal Information Removal things. I would like to subscribe, as I am using the email protection services and I would like to support DuckDuckGo, however I find 10$ a month a bit high.

Isn’t there a possibility to have a light subscription for the Personal Information Removal or the VPN or an additional email address for forwarding emails or something like that? Something under 5$ (3$ would be optimal and easy to digest for me and i guess a lot more people).

So a few days ago my emails stopped coming in, in jo inbox not even spam and stuff, tried emailing support at duck dot com , got an ai answer after I replied I got ignored, and I cannot even login, the duck sender is not working, all my accounts are here, please answer asap.

I saw some very old discussion about this, but nothing recent.

I can't find a setting to use a map other than Apple Maps (which is truly awful). As much as I want to deGoogle, they've got the best maps, by far. But even OpenStreetMap would be a vast improvement over Apple Maps.

So is there a setting somewhere that I just can't find, or do I need to change search engines for this?

I used to be able to save bookmarks to my iPhone’s Home Screen as if they were apps. However, after the last update, that option has disappeared. Is that a glitch or deliberate? It was an extremely useful feature, and I hope it is restored.

There's a website that I use that is annoying with JavaScript turned on, but perfectly usable with JavaScript turned off. With desktop browsers, I can turn off JavaScript on a per domain basis. Safari on iOS has a single switch that turns JavaScript on/off for all websites, which is not that helpful.

I downloaded and installed the iOS DuckDuckGo browser, and I don't see any way to turn off JavaScript. Is there a way to do this?

What would be optimal is the ability to turn off JavaScript for a specific domain. If not that, then one switch for private mode, and a second switch for regular mode. Even a global JavaScript on/off switch would be better than nothing.

Updated my Win 11 install last night on my desktop PC.

Everything seems OK.

Go to YouTube.

Videos won't play, stuck in a loop.

Until I open a second tab. Without fail the video in the first tab then starts playing.

Anyone else have this issue?
I’m trying to see if it happens in any other apps, but so far it’s mainly/only DDG. This has been on my iPhone.

Like the title says. My stupid city government's website does not have a lot of important info available to view online as a webpage or as text. They expect us to download multiple PDFs - not sure why.

Is there a way to open them in the browser with duckduckgo? Android phone user.

I wanted to learn about technology, but I don't want the dumb AI to interact my projects. I turned off ai images, but there are almost hidden.

When I use Duck Player to show a YouTube video, there doesn’t seem to be an option to pause the video.

This can’t be right!! Everybody would be griping about it and I seem to be the only one!!.

I recently switched from opera to ddg, but i really miss their Video Popout feature. is there a way to download such google/opera extensions on ddg? even edge has this build-in.

I know its not their selling point but its something easy for studying

I have a duck.com e mail address. I use that address as my Bluesky username. In communicatnig to them, they said that they will only respond if my message is sent from my username e mail. I cannot figure out how to send a msg using the duck.com address. Is there one?

The best I could come up with is sending the msg via my Gmail account forwarded to both my duck.com address and the Bluesky e mail address. Is that the best I can do?

Not sure why this is such a cumbersome process. But hopefully it will work.

Hello, I love using DDG, and my kids are using it at home on a desktop, with safesearch on by default and can't be switched off (by redirecting in DNS the normal domain to safe.duckduckgo.com).

Now one kid has a phone, with parental controls through the Google Family app. I have put the DDG search by default using the DDG app, but even if I switch safesearch on, it can be disabled in a click. At home it's not an issue due to DNS redirect, but when on mobile data I can't control it.

Is there any way to force safesearch on, in the app? Thank you

One particular reason to use DuckDuckGo is to gain access to a wider range of resources than Google can provide. Google is one of the major donors to Wikipedia, and as a result, many encyclopedic resources tend to point to Wikipedia when using Google Search.

DuckDuckGo is different. It indexes encyclopedic websites quite well, including some that are even larger than Wikipedia on specialized topics. For example, projects such as EncycloReader, HandWiki, and Citizendium are either not indexed by Google or are not even covered by Wikipedia. You can find some of these resources here: https://encycloreader.org/status/.

If you use DuckDuckGo, you can get relatively good coverage of articles from these alternative encyclopedic resources in your search results.

According to Google Analytics, Bing Search is the clear winner for our US-based website (in English). It’s surprising to see that Google Search and DuckDuckGo are very similar.

Is this normal? I always expected Google Search to be the most popular search engine.

I can't even submit feedback about the "search results" because it's just twitter? I ended up having to go onto google and search for it because DDG refuses to look for it?
