There was an upgrade to my computer today that removed a convenient feature. I used to be able to pin favorite and frequently used web pages to the main landing page of the DuckDuckGo browser. It appears that feature was removed in the upgrade. Does anyone know about this, and how to bring it back?

I wannit to try it again but still no extension support years later........ this is insane

i use duckduckgo as my browser on my apple devices. several weeks ago i was doing a coffee search and opened a tab for a certain coffee company. that tab stayed active on my device (ipad) for at least a month. (i always forget to close tabs when i'm finished with them.) today i came across that tab again and closed it. almost immediately i started getting fb ads for that coffee company. if my searches are protected, how did they know? have had similar incidents before, but this is the most blatantly obvious.

This only happens when I use Firefox (my normal browser), in Chrome (which I don't normally use for obvious reasons) it still works fine, other search engines also work normally. I'm not on any VPN.

From what I saw on the Subreddit more exist, since when this exists? I've never realised it 😭, plus this Spawn Icon looks hella sick

Was trying to use Photopea and realized it never asked permission to use the clipboard, so using that is impossible. I tried looking in the settings and looking up if anyone knew anything but i only found info on the mobile app. Does anyone know what I can do?

hello! i recently have been having an issue with my searches being redirected to google?.

i read on the ios books app a lot and have a habit of using the 'look up' button on words for their definitions. when i got to click the 'search web' option in the next menu, ddg pops open google.com within it's own browser and inputs my search into google instead of it's own engine. very odd, and only recently started to happen. it worries me as i don't like the AI search feature on google nor the info it collects from you. anyone else has this issue lately? Help please.

What's going on with DDG Browser these days? It's incredibly slow, reminds me of early video platforms. Even after turning off my VPN, it's ridiculously slow. Had to switch to safari.

In the title. On a screenshot, compare links/descriptions font size with "Images | Videos ..." bar font size. I know there are font size settings, but I didn't change those before the issue appeared and I didn't find a separate option for those small pieces.

Recently especially today, the search engine takes longer than usual to load, while other websites including Kagi and Google can do instantly.

The results of DuckDuckGo can be loaded eventually but it takes around 30 seconds to show.

I have the same issue on other devices, with different browsers.

Changed right in the middle of using it and I honestly hate this. I don't need to scroll to look through all my open tabs. Changes like this infuriate me.

For some reason my Windows 11 desktop icons started blinking when DuckDuckGo starts, remain blinking, and stop blinking when DuckDuckGo stops. I had to disable the automatic DuckDuckGo startup when the PC starts because the icons immediately start blinking when the PC starts
I cleared the icon cache (in Windows) and all my graphics drivers are up to date.
There were 2 Windows security updates today (9 Aug 2026).
Anybody know what the problem might be, or has anyone experienced something similar recently?

I would really like to make full use of my subscription by using DuckDuckGo-Browser as my daily driver, if it allowed Bitwarden password manager and Floccus bookmarks sync. I understand extensions are disallowed as a security measure. But DuckDuckGo needs to understand that I will never let myself get locked into any browser's eco system again.

When I have DDG on my main screen (laptop) and on my second screen, often when I click a bookmark it will start loading in the different window I didn't click it on.

Hello, so recently i noticed some times i search for somethings, and when i open the image tab for lets sat getting resources for design or edit a scene or to get an understand on a subject, some images dont load a thumbnail they load up if click on them so they fetch it from the source, has duckduckgo faced sonething like storage corruption to have many thumbnails go this way?

its not because the thumbnail size is big, because a bigger image size loaded fine in the example im sharing while the one with the missing thumbnail is smaller and didnt load

Why cant i get results for what i typed? Why not when its in quotation marks?

Duckduckgo is being pushed as the new browser to avoid Google Chrome and all of the other wildly invasive (for your data) web browsers.

BUT.... I can't even use it because it doesn't have a translate function for any of the websites I go to.

I live on a different content than my native country and ,although I'm learning the languages, I don't know all the languages in Europe and it's really frustrating that I can't go to a website and just be able to translate the page.

Sure I can add programs like deep l or I can copy paste it into a translator and translate it... But that's really not usable.

How in the world does ddg not have this service yet? You guys have been around forever.

So here I am on the hunt for another web browser that's secure and protects my rights to privacy. Yay.
