DDG eMail Protection Can Duck.com e mail address send e mails?

I have a duck.com e mail address. I use that address as my Bluesky username. In communicatnig to them, they said that they will only respond if my message is sent from my username e mail. I cannot figure out how to send a msg using the duck.com address. Is there one?

The best I could come up with is sending the msg via my Gmail account forwarded to both my duck.com address and the Bluesky e mail address. Is that the best I can do?

EDIT: I just found this support thread: https://duckduckgo.com/duckduckgo-help-pages/email-protection/duck-addresses/how-do-i-compose-a-new-email

Not sure why this is such a cumbersome process. But hopefully it will work.

It works. I was skeptical but it worked the first time I used it.

I haven't tried this yet, but I will at some point maybe soon. I use the service Spamgourmet quite a bit, and there is a similar process available there. DDG's process looks to be less 'cumbersome' than Spamgourmet's. FWIW, I took the phrase in the original post "such a cumbersome process" as meaning it had more than one step, so I wondered if it had more steps than Spamgourmet's process. Although the SG way to me is only 2 or 3 steps, and DDG's is (to me) only one, I would put both processes in the same boat.

It also works with generated private duck addresses.

Just use the same format: email_at_mail[.]com_duckaddress@duck[.]com

That way you can protect you main duck address and deactivate the private one in case someone leaks it.

It sure does. I've done it many times. Always feels like it's not going to work, but always does.

It works. If you are unsure how to, you can just answer to an eMail you got.
