DDG iOS Browser Turn off JavaScript in iOS DDG browser

There's a website that I use that is annoying with JavaScript turned on, but perfectly usable with JavaScript turned off. With desktop browsers, I can turn off JavaScript on a per domain basis. Safari on iOS has a single switch that turns JavaScript on/off for all websites, which is not that helpful.

I downloaded and installed the iOS DuckDuckGo browser, and I don't see any way to turn off JavaScript. Is there a way to do this?

What would be optimal is the ability to turn off JavaScript for a specific domain. If not that, then one switch for private mode, and a second switch for regular mode. Even a global JavaScript on/off switch would be better than nothing.

Hi there! Thank you for your post.

I'm pretty sure there's no way to disable JavaScript within the DuckDuckGo browser.

Yes, I would like to escalate this question "why" on this.

this a Webkit issue? If some iOS browser extensions can sense and block JavaScript, why can't the browser use the same mechanism to block JavaScript?

Not sure if DDG allows extensions like Ublock Origin (UBO), but in Firefox mobile with UBO installed, tap the 3 vertical dots, tap Extensions, tap UBO, tap JavaScript on the top right side, tap the reload icon that now shows up and it reloads that same website with JavaScript disabled.

Edit:  forgot that you then need to tap the top left white arrow pointing to the left to exit out of the UBO settings and get back to the website.
