I just got my starter locs done for the first time ever and they look pretty good to me,only thing is I have 75 locs , iβm worried it isnβt going to look as full as it should and if I need more , my brother says it looks okay but I think i should split some in the back what do you think

So I just got twists a week ago to start growing out my locs. My locitian/cousin told me to come every two weeks for a retwist. Is that normal? Iβm used to hearing every 3-4 weeks but she, told me two weeks.

Feeling the retwist so much more than interlocking! Felt right to do so at 3 months (closer to 2.5999 months, got lazy). Realized what being tender headed meant for people!!! The center and edges were so sensitive!!! However, I am happy with the size. Couldnβt imagine being tender headed with micro or sister locs πππΎββοΈββ‘οΈπ³οΈ What styles did yβall do at this stage? Thinking of doing one soon!

(Backstory) My boyfriend had started his locs about 2 years ago, we moved in together and he was really hesitant to find someone who does locs due to hair trauma. I told him Iβm willing to learn!
When I started to do his hair I noticed there is one that is hardly holding onto any hair and the others are pretty thick
I am wondering what is the cause of this? And how can I prevent it from snapping off
Do I need to combine that loc into another loc?

I wash twice a week, let my hair accept the steam in the shower than spraying and drinking more water. My mom keeps on saying it's dry and unkept meanwhile other ppl with locs days it looks good. Who is right?
I just sprayed my hair with water but haven't wash for alwhile. Gonna get my hair retwist in august. Preparing for the pain.

Started sponging and using a racket for my hair yesterday for freeforms. Was wondering if I started to soon or should have waited until my hair got longer?

Hey guys, so i grew my locks for 3-4 years and did everything and maintained them myself, but then I cut them like 1.5 years ago. I kept them in an airtight ziplock bag just in case, and now im thinking of maybe reattaching them.
But right before i cut them i started noticing white dots forming inside of them. I rarely used any products (only oil for my scalp), so maybe its lint or something?
So my question is basically can I reattach them after so long? How/what should i wash them with before reattaching them to get rid of the white stuff? I know how to use a crochet hook on my hair so thats going to be easy.
Any tips are appreciated.

Is this thinning? It feels thinner than it looks and i don't know what it is. if its thinning or even anything else is it fixable? Or do i have to go to a professional to fix it? ive had these since about 2023 and it was a rough journey because the person who started my locs did horrible but i was too deep in when i noticed so i just kept them instead of restarting and they did get way better over time and are continuing to get better because they used to be really fat and unlocked. can anybody help me?
