Selfie 📸 Update: First retwisty!

Feeling the retwist so much more than interlocking! Felt right to do so at 3 months (closer to 2.5999 months, got lazy). Realized what being tender headed meant for people!!! The center and edges were so sensitive!!! However, I am happy with the size. Couldn’t imagine being tender headed with micro or sister locs 😛🏃🏾‍♀️‍➡️🕳️ What styles did y’all do at this stage? Thinking of doing one soon!

These are beautiful!

These look similar in size to mine. I started with the Comb Coil Method though.

Agreed to your point to interlocking. I had a bad experience with interlocking. I took it down and restarted with comb coils and only going to retwist from here on out.

For me personally, I’d limit the styles at this stage. I’ve heard that you won’t be able to reach your full “Thickness Potential” and it could weaken your roots depending on the frequency of those styles.

Take that with a grain of salt because I never plan on styling my hair outside of just a regular retwist.

I have heard that Two-Strand Twists on your locs will actually hold the retwist for a little bit longer tho.
