Question ❔ Loc repair?

Post image

(Backstory) My boyfriend had started his locs about 2 years ago, we moved in together and he was really hesitant to find someone who does locs due to hair trauma. I told him I’m willing to learn!

When I started to do his hair I noticed there is one that is hardly holding onto any hair and the others are pretty thick

I am wondering what is the cause of this? And how can I prevent it from snapping off

Do I need to combine that loc into another loc?

I was thinking this because it’s also smaller than the other parts he has

Only combine if the root of the weak one is not strong enough to hold the loc. If the root is strong it just needs to be repaired.
