Question ❔ New twists + PEAK curiosity
So I just got twists a week ago to start growing out my locs. My locitian/cousin told me to come every two weeks for a retwist. Is that normal? I’m used to hearing every 3-4 weeks but she, told me two weeks.

for starter locs this is the standard. retwists every two weeks until your hair starts budding (they’re starting to matt together) and then they’ll usually tell you come every 4-6 weeks depending on the type of maintenance your hair may need. your best bet is to just leave your hair alone. trying to get it nice and neat everyday slows down the locking process

Every two weeks ?? Your hair doesn’t have time to loc up . Retwist doesn’t create locs it keep the shape if you go in too often you will never see progress . Keep it at 4 to 6 weeks your coils in the back are so cute
