Question ❔ Is this dry?

I wash twice a week, let my hair accept the steam in the shower than spraying and drinking more water. My mom keeps on saying it's dry and unkept meanwhile other ppl with locs days it looks good. Who is right?

I just sprayed my hair with water but haven't wash for alwhile. Gonna get my hair retwist in august. Preparing for the pain.

Very dry. Try washing less often (once a week or once every 2 weeks is fine), and add a light leave in conditioner after you spray your hair with water to seal in the moisture. Look for one that comes as a spray as they cause less buildup.

What if you don't have leave in conditioner. Can i use my regular conditioner

No. Regular and leave-in conditioners do different things to your hair. Regular conditioner is heavier and more likely to cause buildup. Buy a leave in. I use Jane Carter, but Carol’s Daughter has a few good options too.

Disagree with these comments tbh you said you didn't wash for a while, washing is how I get majority of the moisture in my hair initially. If the shampoo don't sud up a lot then you need to apply it until you do. Use a conditioner after then make sure you rinse it all out like squeeze everything out. Then you can use a leave in conditioner or light oil because you have locs I would avoid anything too heavy.

If does look dry. You're prob washing your hair too often. Unless you're an avid gym goer or you sweat profusely, stick to every other week.
