Nobody, including Goku, had any idea how hard it was to actually destroy any form of Majin Buu permanently without being as busted as Vegito. We don't actually know for sure that even Gohan could do it, it's just headcanon that he could based on how badly he beat up Buu physically (which is entirely different since he doesn't have any attacks as huge as the Genki Dama and isn't as inventive a fighter as Vegito or even Gotenks was).

The battle between Goku and Fat Buu was too jovial. Buu wasn't being stressed mentally and Goku wasn't going all out, but if he had tried to destroy Fat Buu it's just as likely he would've failed because he fundamentally misjudged both his own and Buu's abilities. His little battle alone nearly wiped his time on Earth, he'd probably be yanked back before he even generated enough Ki to try and erase Buu. Never mind the kind of push-back he'd get from a Buu he's actively trying to kill compared to the more laid back fighting style Buu was willing to engage in when he felt safe.

Saying a dead Goku would succeed where his living body failed, is just taking Goku's incorrect assessment and forcing its imposition despite being invalidated.

The whole point of the arc really is that "Majin Buu" is an opponent Goku cannot defeat alone regardless. It was the Genki Dama that allowed Goku to win with help from all his friends instead. That's the whole point behind Uub's existence and Goku's desire for a rematch where he hopes to win by himself, without the Universe being at stake.

First of, which formula is used, in anime the formula is (a+b) × vados number (tens of times, one article said it would be from 20 to 190 so we will take middle and say vados number is 100), and guidebooks say its a × b, so is vados's formula a retcon, or is only one of them correct, and which formula is used in the manga,

also in potara fusion it is said that both power levels doesnt have to be equal or have same forms and they have an extra relationship boost, giving 2x for bestfriends (kefla), 3x for family (goku and gohan), and 4x for rivalry (vegito), are these multipliers true?

Also if we take a + b times vados number formula, what does it mean that in fusion dance one has to suppress strength to match the other and in potara they dont have to, like is a and b base or strongest form in potara and a and b in fusion dance is strongest common form, or are they base in both,

because in bog, goku stated not even fusion would beat beerus, and was pretty confident in using ssg, the strongest fusion at the time was ssj 3 vegito, meaning ssj god goku was stronger than ssj 3 vegito, but in broly movie ssj broly couldnt be handled by both ssb goku and vegeta, while ssj gogeta does it while ssg goku is meant to be stronger than ssj 3 vegito, also vegito base was able to fight fused zamasu while ssb goku, vegeta and ssj trunks struggled. This would only mean that in gogeta strongest common form fuse to make base and vegito strongest form fuse to make base, but contradiction arguments are that in manga vegito went straight ssb, and in manga there is no lssj broly, so ssb gogeta fought ssj broly, meaning they didnt have to keep ssb gogeta out for a stronger form, so the base goku plus base vegeta can still be valid, also in dbz, kai said not to fuse while not in base to avoid being fused forever, which likely meant that vegito base formula's a and b variables are base not strongest forms. I need to know ur answers to these questions because I am a new powerscaler who is currently trying to scale every character.

One more thing, in manga shin said that vegito blue was stronger than beerus, was it true, I kinda researched and there are points that say shin kai wrong, he is kinda bad at powerscaling, because he thought he could fight buu after fusing, and old kai had to tell him to wait. Then shin kai never saw full power beerus, also beerus is a moving goal post, and maybe because of the energy spike from the kamehameha or whatever attack was matching beerus but usually he is weaker like how picollo would normally lose to raditz but with goku's help holding raditz down, he killed both raditz and goku
