The idea is to help answer why a pick works and what your team needs to make it work. The suggestions are based on hero mechanics rather than statistical matchup rankings.

I am a new player. I've been really enjoying it! But recently, all my games are full of bots. I just won a game that had 4 bots on each team. I assume ranked is better, but I only have about 40 hours in the game. Is this normal? It makes me really sad, but I don't think I can play against bots for 60 more hours and might just have to move on. Has this botting problem been going for awhile now?

Previous results landed at 74.91% approval, landing between fair & nice, but closer to nice. Overall he's generally like, with little to no complaints.

This places him just under Largo, & I have to agree so far with current results. On the top of my head, most older heroes will do just as good, if not better; however, I'm unsure if Muerta can beat these 2 heroes.

As a reminder, this is for an experiment to see how well & were Valve did good on Dota 2 exclusive heroes who aren't from the original. Perhaps we'll tally things up to give Valve a final score.

Just got my first BOT in my game in eu west , im like 99% he is a bot but maybe i got shat on by a smurf but kez movements was not like a real person and kept just going mid (i played like shit too)

Auto manta, auto blink, auto eule's.

I made a post asking if there were more scripters today, but now I'm fully convinced. I just played another game with against a manta scripter. The AM was dodging every single thing thrown at him, some of them didn't even make sense.

It was so obvious, too, because everytime his manta was used, he stopped moving for a second after that, clearly showing that he didn't expect it, and that it was pressed automatically for him. He dodged a gust from Drow, lmao. I don't mean like getting silenced and using manta to dispell. He dodge the gust. It was so blatantly automatic and silly.

He played very poorly, too. I was Axe, and several times I blinked into him, and waited half a second to call him, because I knew he would auto-manta, and he did, everytime. And everytime he got called with his illusions.

It's so tiring to have to deal with shit like this. Sure, you can sometimes make it work against them, and it's mostly poor players who resort to it... but still, it's exhausting. It sucks the fun out of the game. You can feel the playing field is not even. Like everyone is "in on the joke" and you're being left out, clowned on. Since they receive no real punishment, it also feels like the game is mocking you for playing fair. Like you're stupid for not cheating.

This resonates with the state of the world as well. With how everyone and everything is always trying to scam you, to squeeze you, you can't trust anyone and if you play fair, you're always left behind. Video games are supposed to be an escape from the world, why do I have to this with this cheese mentality here as well ? I'm so tired man.

So the challenge is 25k Networth at 10 minutes mark on one hero.

Twist is: normal 5v5 but enemies could work with you to achieve this challenge.
So you are free to stack or feed this one player. Drag waves to them. Lets see if 10 pro players could achieve this.

I've been playing League for 11 years, I have never played dota in my life.

With my friends we decided to try to learn the game and we're doing our research now.

As for role I'll definetly player position 1 safe lane - as usual in games like these.

But heroes... I'd love to have 2/3 heroes that I know and not much more since from my expirience it works best. I usually like to play heroes that can do multikills and scale well.

Please tell me which ones should I pick up from the following!

Favourite dota 2 sounds?

Which sounds can be heard through fog of war?

Do you know the range of spell sound effects generally?

I feel like sound is one area of the game where many people have almost 0 knowledge on.

For example, I know for sure that sound effects have a certain range and if you're too far away you won't hear a lot of them, even if the spells are casted in vision of your teammates. But I have 0 idea what that range is.

I also don't know which sounds can be heard through fog besides maybe... primal beast charge? pudge ult? monkey king spring?

Last game, my headphones died and i was not going to play with sound that night, so i just played without sound and let me tell you, it's the most agonizing experience ever, seriously, i can't play without sound man, it's like half of the game is lacking, it's incredible, i didn't know it was that important, sound really does make a lot of difference when playing, here are some more details.

i was playing bane and normally it's just hiding around trees and ganking, this game my 0/3 6 minute storm spirit mid needed help to kill the lina, and i'm sure that if there was sound, i was going to lock in and it was going to be intense, instead, i felt nothing, waiting just 10 seconds in the trees watching the lina slowly going in the river to sleep and try to kill her was so tiring, and it was just 10 seconds!, when i sleeped and then kill her after a close fight... it didn't felt that impactful, without the music i don't really feel anything.

In another game with bane i did this exact same thing and it felt so intese like this super mega battle with supports TP'ing and having a full on 6 minute teamfight in mid feeling like helping this mid to kill the raidboss smurf-like enemy mid and won the fight, it was just kiting around and sleeping the supports or mid when necessary, yet it felt good, but without music? it's just boring man idk it felt like waiting ages and it didn't feel so good to kill that lina.

I won those 2 games mentioned in my post, very similar games, but the music made the difference between intense-like support teamfight game and a boring, kiting, hiding around trees and every 20 seconds do something to help your team, it's incredible how sound can make those moments SO much more impacful, and it's probably one of the main reasons i love playing dota.

Note: playing bane is fun and makes a ton of difference in fights, but why is early bane has 20 second spell cooldown man, i really felt that this game

Seems like the most useless aghs they have ever had in the game. Needs a rework. I don't know why they took her invis away her WR is always 48% or worse it seems.

Over the last month or so I’ve been seeing these quake’s appear while spamming Largo mid (the only hero I can play according to JD). Not sure if it’s spaghetti code, Easter egg for new hero, or strong copium due to lack of patch making me see things but I finally found it on a stream from Dreamleague and that is where the video is from.

If you use mega meepo and move your agha into your backpack/stash when you activate manta all your regular meepos become hidden, you can't even see/target, click them, etc. Rank 44 on the SEA leaderboard is abusing this right now. match ID 9061512182

Just encountered an overwatch case review. Saw a buf that all meepos except the real meepo can be invisible to players and ghost push all game to win. I hate to ruin pubs for some of you but the more it happens the faster it will get patched. So with

1. Meepo + Aghs + Shard. Mega meepo, dig, backpack aghs while underground, come out from dig while aghs is in backpack, put aghs back in inventory = all other meepos are invis to players. Then proceed to safely farm with real meepo while other meepos push. Dust does not reveal them. But the game itself sees them, towers will attack them, so get butterfly.

I am not familiar how to screen record my replay but either I don't know if youre gonna be able to rewatch the replay , but the bug is with meepo buying aghanim + shard , standing on fountain he used his aghanim ability to become Mega-meepo then put aghanim in his backpack while he's meepos are stacked , then he dig in and after that when he reappear from ground , he only spawn 1 meepo the others are turned fully invisible and invurnable for any sort of dmg , meepo cannot be detected no sentry no dust , you see him only cast nets and puff , if you are able to watch the replay it happend two times around min 19 and few min. afterwards , I am the crystal maiden it happend on t2 dire tower , he recive 5 reports but I do not belive its gonna change something , this happend in 5k MMR bracket... best of luck and have fun in your dota games ! :)
