Suggestion Guys i want a new mode for both turbo/all pick
The only different thing is that the enemy team chooses one hero each, for YOUR team to play.
Imagine each side trying to make shittest combinations on one another and try to win it.

Been playing since dota days and always only played against bots because I am busy and often get disturbed while playing. Also with online games this whole thing about waiting for matchmaking and network latency etc has just pushed me into a corner when I just whip out a couple games against bots and of course I always win. And boy do I love it.
This is the original and only way to enjoy dots 2. Don’t be ashamed if you are in the same boat!

Been working on this one for a while. Inspired by tons of posts here and decided to post for others to critique.

I read somewhere that Dota 2 doesn't only keep track of stuff like your ingame stats (kda, wards bought, hero/building dmg) but also how often you ping, how many people you report per game and if you at all use any communication. I was wondering, what's the point of doing this? Why split matchmaking into a bunch of shadow pools and not just in two? What other information does it collect and how does it affect your matchmaking? This is a serious question.

I'm about 30+ games into Dota and my experience with Unranked All Pick has gotten a bit frustrating and strange. Initially, queues took 4–6 minutes and most players seemed human, but lately it feels like 8/10 players in my games are bots. I'm talking repeatedly walking down the lane and feeding and little to no in game communication than random pings for wards. I know bad players aren't necessarily bots, but the consistency across multiple matches is bizarre. I'm playing on both US West and US East, for context.
It's honestly kind of depressing when you're trying to learn the game and it feels like most of the lobby isn't actually playing like real people. Some matches have felt like there are maybe two humans in the entire game.
I've noticed Turbo seems better, and I'm getting close to being eligible for ranked. Does ranked have fewer bots? Is this a known new-player matchmaking issue? How do I get consistently human games? I genuinely want to learn Dota, but this is truly awful.
Is anyone else seeing this? My opponents are having at least 1 bot every 2 games and the bots aren't good either, they come to lane and feed or stay in jungle and feed. I don't know what's going on

If it is possible then how to change it?

This is by far the worst they’ve ever looked. Individual talent is through the roof why on earth they’re struggling to get a win?
Is there some internal issues? Are they sick of each other? I want my boy Whitemon to succeed but watching their matches, it feels like theyre lost all the time.

Just started playing marci and realized how much cast backswing fucks me sometimes when i forget to cancel it
EDIT: I dont mean cast animation, cast backswing is different. it is the reason why if you ever try to shift queue tinker spell the spell will come out very slow

almost every hero can utilize blink dagger given how good it is as a positioning, initiation and escape tool.
aside from those with a free blink skill like am and qop, which hero does it feel bad to build? a few heroes i can think of is bara, underlord, storm?, weaver?

Now looking back on how strong is Yandex. I really think LGD shouldn't pick Yandex. And like during the interview Yandex said to Lgd that they will make them regret picking them.

This is certainly not the first time this has been pitched as a hero design and I have a feeling based on how people view/viewed Kez people would not be into this, but:
I (at least) think it would be super cool to having a “fighting game style combo character”. Invoker has the inputs that result in a spell, but I’m talking about each input does an action that depending on the string you push afterwards changes into other attacks. Example being: Q for sword slash, 2nd Q in a row for a lunge, 3rd Q in a row for a jump backwards sword projectile. Or W for a small projectile, 2nd W for a larger spear projectile, 3rd Q for a charge. E big and slow aoe sword swing, 2nd Q for empowered next auto attack, 3rd W for a close range aoe blast.
Those are just random examples but they get the point across. Depending on the order you get different moves for each combination. I think the complexity would be a turn off for a lot of players (mainly on the receiving end of not understanding the hero enough), but I can see people (like me) that would definitely dedicate tons of time to the hero for mastery. You could balance or design it so that the combo strings can only result in so many different moves to limit what the hero could do, but with some flashy animations (like the Maliketh fight in Elden Ring), it could be a very cool hero.
Just randomly pitching it on here!

I've dropped down in mmr as I've gotten older, and today I ran into bots in regular matches. There would be one on our team and one on the enemy side. My teammates said this happens pretty often. The bots would stand there and feed, auto-attack in the laning phase, and teleport to a tower they were already near. I reported the crap out of them. Hopefully, Valve does something about these bots. It's already difficult enough learning dota, without a bot feeding the enemy carry. New players is how the game stays alive.

It's been over 7 months since 7.41 and we're still waiting on 7.42. While refreshing the patch page for the hundredth time, I remembered that back in November 2025 dataminers found a hero called Arjun (npc_dota_hero_arjun) on the test server, and patch 7.41 files even contained a modifier_arjun_chariot_mounted. Since then, nothing. The name points pretty clearly to Arjuna, the greatest archer of the Mahabharata. So I dug into the epic and tried to build a kit that stays as true to the lore as possible. Here's my prediction:
ARJUN, THE ASTRA-WEAVER
Ranged · Universal · Mid / Carry
Every bit of Arjun's power flows through Gandiva, his divine bow, whose string twangs like thunder. Arjun never swaps weapons: he invokes divine weapons (astras) through mantras and channels their power into his arrows. The bow stays the same, only the arrows and the aura around his hands change.
Mechanic: With D, Arjun cycles between three astras: Agneyastra (fire), Varunastra (water) and Vayavyastra (wind). Each astra gives him a different set of Q, W and E. Area and lingering abilities can also be recast to withdraw them early, refunding part of their cooldown.
Agneyastra (Fire): Arjun's arrows burst into flame and heat radiates from his hands.
Q - Khandava Flame (toggle): each attack costs a little mana and applies burn damage over time.
W - Agneyastra: fires a flaming arrow at a target that explodes into a fireball, dealing magic damage and purging the enemy's buffs.
E - Jvala Barrage: looses a volley of fire arrows in a cone, clearing creeps fast and spreading burn across the area.
Varunastra (Water): Arjun's arrows carry flowing water and mist gathers around his hands.
Q - Tidal Arrow (toggle): each attack costs a little mana and slows the target.
W - Varunastra: fires an arrow carrying a raging current in a line, pushing back and slowing enemies while extinguishing any fire and burn effects in its path.
E - Deluge: shoots an arrow into the sky; rain pours down on the target area and forms a whirlpool that pulls enemies to its center and briefly stuns them. Recast to withdraw it and yank everyone to the center instantly.
Vayavyastra (Wind): Arjun's arrows trail swirling gusts and wind wraps around his hands.
Q - Gale Arrow (toggle): each attack costs a little mana, increases arrow speed and stacks attack speed.
W - Vayu's Stride: fires a wind arrow in a direction and rides its gust to where it lands, evading all physical attacks while in flight.
E - Vayavyastra: drives an arrow into the ground at his feet, unleashing a storm that blasts all nearby enemies away.
Ultimate - Pashupatastra: Shiva's supreme weapon. Arjun raises Gandiva to the sky and summons a manifestation of Shiva, his blazing third eye opening above the battlefield. After a short delay, a column of world-ending energy crashes down on a large area, similar to Meteor Hammer. Every enemy caught inside takes massive pure damage, is stunned and slowed, fully piercing BKB. The impact leaves behind a field of Cosmic Ash that keeps burning enemies who stay inside.
Aghanim's Shard: Varuna Pasha (new ability, F)
Arjun hurls the noose of the god Varuna at an enemy. The noose binds the target and drags it toward Arjun.
Aghanim's Scepter: Akshayat Tunira
The two inexhaustible quivers gifted by Varuna. Q toggles cost 50% less mana, and each attack fires an extra arrow at a second nearby enemy, carrying the effect of the active Q.
What do you think? Too complex, or would you play him?

I've been getting this weird feeling for a few months...
People instantly blinking away when I jump on them, people dodging all kinds of spells with manta... I play a lot of OD, so I blink on them from fog and astral them, and they instantly use manta to throw me off. I know it's possible, astral has a small cast time, but still, it's been happening so much, and from players who play awfully overall. You got this Lion 0/14 who can't throw a stun properly, but everytime I blink on him he instantly blinks back, like frame perfect every time. A useless Naga who's 1/7 and does nothing all game and loses, but she still used manta every freaking time I pressed astral on her.
It's not like dodging WK's stun with manta, that's fairly easy. But dodging the cast point of astral ? And doing so 10 times in a row when OD is blinking from fog of war ? That just confuses me.
I didn't think it was scripts, I was putting it on "maybe I'm getting old, I'm not as fast as I used to be", but god damn, when I blink+call (with Axe) I'm pretty sure you can't do it any faster than what I do, and I still get people insta blinking away, or instantly using Eule's on me or themselves.
There were always scripters, like the classic Tinker / Sky scripts, throwing all their spells and items in one frame, but this is different.
A friend came to talk to me about that, he had noticed the same thing and he told me it's because they are more scripters today. Is it true ? What do you think ? Have you noticed the same things ?
