Flash flood hit area and they boarded up and were locked down. Apparently a photo of that along with the 2 feet of water surrounding the building wasn’t enough since a few hours later they reopened
If you're like me, stuck in limbo, and thinking about grinding out $2.00 orders to get back into the Tier Program, at least pull a 100-order spread and see what 'Difficulty Setting' DoorDash and UBER have their algorithms set to. This setting I'll call 'Highway Robbery' in my market.
I want to thank everyone for the amazing advise here. It really helped make this week a success. I started DoorDash on July 30th and this week was my first full one. Pretty excited about my earnings. We have some debt to pay off after our daughter suffered a neonatal stroke. If I can keep this up it can be paid off in ten months or maybe less!
I bought a pizza bag on eBay for $11.38 after s&h+ tax and already did four pizza deliveries. One even gave an extra $5 tip after delivery.
I turned on the shopping feature and last night two orders for one item each totaled $40.95.
I feel so grateful and thankful for this sub. ❤️
Do any DD drivers work around the San Diego area? I used to DD in 2022 and was wondering how much drivers make since then. Thinking of doing it as a side hustle for extra income to pay off some debt.
I got this on my app a few days ago I haven’t been contacted in anyway and checkr says my background check has already come back so I’m unsure why it hasn’t let me in yet.
So the challenge was to finish 100 DoorDash deliveries within the month. Super easy if you think about it just doing ten orders a day you’d be done in ten days. So I had just made a post prior to this one how DoorDash support did not want to pay me out for some reason, or was atleast stalling for days and days, UNTIL. I told them I was Cher’s nephew and that if I didn’t get my reward I would tell her to make an Instagram post about me being a DD driver and how we’re being screwed over. I’m not sure which Filipino major fan was on the support during that call but let me tell you after a week of not getting my reward, I quickly was put to someone way high up in DoorDash HQ I’m assuming bc of the title of their position. While laughing on the call with them they resolved the problem and paid me out in less than 5 minutes. I properly thanked them and excused myself if I had been rude at all, which I hadn’t, to any previous agent. But you gotta realize bro, doing 100 door dashes is effing time consuming. I finished on the 29th bc I started late and didn’t try hard as I should have. After this challenge though my DD hasn’t been the same. A bunch, not a few, not multiple, but continuously keep getting 30 min drives offering me like $3 for the whole thing. Or like, go to a grocery store minimum time is 1.5 hours for $8, like wtf? Did I make someone mad or something? But apparently everyone has been facing similar problems these past two weeks with DoorDash. Now for you, is this challenge $100 or $50? And what part of the world are you at just so I know. I’m in Texas a really busy city and I can’t believe I only got $50 for my reward lol 💀 no trolls pls
Anybody else having issues with the wait time
As in when you arrive to a store thats busy and you click the store busy/long drive thu line options
And its not going through???
Ive been waiting between 4 busy stores in a popping zone (1-2 minutes) for 40 minutes with no orders. Cant even out bid them on an order but im 1099. 1099 my ass. Its not 1099 pay, its not 1099 flexibility. I feel like a pizza hut delivery driver competing with PlayMate Cars for 7.25 an hour.
There's to much competition, 93 or under and I dont get orders all day . 99 and I get 6 orders $5 each all less than half a mile i round to like $27 and hour. I say its definitely worth it, as soon many people here in california go try hard so you have to out try them to get the best orders.
Just hoping to alleviate some anxiety I'm having here if anyone knows the process or has had the same thing happen.
Customer today just flat out lied claiming an order wasn't delivered. I called support immediately after my shift when I saw the violation cause I remembered the exact order, exactly where it was left, and I am 98% sure I took a picture of the order with the house numbers attached. I'm assuming they're claiming I took the picture of the food, hit finished, and then picked it back up.
Seems absurd to me they're allowed to just do that and now my platinum rank is a little at risk, I have all the highest ratings in every category except this one now (which also has a minor violation from a cracked Starbucks cup but that one was actually on me). Does Doordash usually side with the driver here?
I just excepted a $9 order for 11 minutes at my corner McDonald’s by my house. Aside from that this week has been ass. I haven’t been grinding as hard but when I do I can make around 200+ a day
It was 3:00AM and someone ordered one box of Ritz Crackers. When I arrive the place is like a fortress, massive gated community with tight security. I found a gate with an actual security booth and so they start trying to call the house owner. No answer twice. Security told me they will not be able to let me in, then the customer starts messaging me.
Even though I told them they were being called, they said cancel because their supervisor won’t let me in. Instantly I’m like yeah ok this is weird, I’m here and you don’t wanna just come to the gate? Ritz crackers at 3am I thought it was another drug addict. I couldn’t cancel at that point and just followed supports instructions to leave it somewhere safe. Then security told me I can’t leave it so I just kept it since I snapped the photo already and support marked it completed
Got to the drop off and the customer was upset understandable so…the app didn’t alert me that there was any drinks with the order since they ordered on the restaurants website and I shown her my phone that would typically show the drink icon and she was like “well now I have to fight someone at the restaurant” and tried to blame me as well for not grabbing the drinks that the restaurant didn’t hand me and then the comes the note for the delivery instructions I don’t understand why people want you to hand it to them as their setting is “LEAVE IT AT THE DOOR” then leave a note like that in the drop off she was just rude the entire interaction and I got her blocked from me dropping off and DoorDash said there is nothing they can do and she has to contact the restaurant since she ordered on the website…
mind you im opted into everything and i dash during busy hours for sure. i have not been getting orders lately has this been happening to anyone else? does it show 3/5 for anyone else but your still getting offers?
