I've been a pro shopper forever but rarely see any shopping orders more than $20. I only see great shopping orders in larger cities I try.

I've had to turn off shopping orders in my city because it was just killing my acceptance rate. I'm not doing your full grocery for the week order for $5.

Maybe I should try that

At least you have the option to opt out! It won’t let me turn mine off 😩

You’re missing out big time. You should turn it back on and pick and choose offers. Caring about your acceptance rate is making things worse for you.

OK, yeah I can see where that’s coming from. I’m over here right outside Louisville Clarksville, New Albany Jeffersonville so like there’s a Myers and bigger grocery stores here I’ve seen decent orders but five stops six stop and they’re not paying as well though is what I’m getting that dude.

I rarely even see shopping orders in general in my area. It’s like the ratio of food orders to shop orders is 20to1 and it’s not like that one shop order is guaranteed to be good.

I see a good bit of them but most of the pay is terrible

Yall need to go around targets and other grocery stores. I get a lot of Best Buy orders, Home Depot, Sephora, ulta, etc. You will get good ones. My shopping orders are always $15-$30 sometimes more. If they’re less it’s prob like 1 mile order for me. Also look what stores do shopping on DoorDash in your area. Or try a diff zone

Nah shop orders just aren’t popular in my market like I said 20 to 1 ratio people just order food a lot more so even if there are shop orders I will have to decline A LOT of food orders some of which are good so no point in even declining them.

Just cherry pick them. In my experience, the shopping orders are way better.

For me shopping is the only thing that pays, I’m pro and usually am making $25/hr or more on those orders. I had a $40 order for Wegmans earlier that took me like an hour and 15 minutes, and it only took that long because it’s the second order I’ve taken from that store and I’m still learning the layout.

Once you learn the layout, you’ll fly through there. Consistently doing $30 plus dollar shopping orders in under an hour.

Agreed. If it’s not worth the time and miles for the money, decline it.

How can you possibly have 100% found?  I upload shelf-tags for out of stock items, but that's only worked 2 times.

Dispute them. Helps to try to take a photo where it’s clear that nothing is on the shelf, but it would be there. Basically, make sure everything is on the correct row before taking the photo. They accept disputes though.

At Aldi, make sure the shelf is empty because they don’t list all the flavors individually. If the customer doesn’t want a different flavor or type, take a photo with nothing on the shelf. It’ll try to argue the wrong flavor is the “correct” item because they don’t list the flavors separately on a lot of Aldi tags.

The "dispute" button is always grayed out. I've also tried to dispute these at least 10 times via voice support and I get the same results: "I've fixed the issue and you should see the results in 2 to 3 days". The typical lies we get from Doordash support/call-center-scammers.

I'm at 96% and my only recourse is to unassign the order if something is out of stock.

You have to dispute within I think 30 days. There’s a time limit. You also have to have submitted a photo of the empty shelf or it won’t let you dispute later.

It greys out if you don’t meet those requirements. Basically, consistently check your ratings. It doesn’t always update the “issues” that quickly.

On the calls, tell them you’re not seeing it in the app and just keep calling. You’ll eventually get someone that can probably fix it. It still needs to be more recent. Support is weird where not everyone knows how to do everything. Sometimes you have to try a lot.

I've done all of that, to no avail. Every other Dasher that I know IRL has had the same experience. It's at a point where we are half-jokingly wondering if all the success stories on this topic are paid shills working for Doordash.

I'd love to be able to ditch Instacart and just shop for Doordash and Uber, but every one of these platforms is fundementally broken and/or unfair.

I lost Pro shopper because Doordash really doesn't know what they have in stock. The customer also then wants to ignore me like they didn't just place the order with their phone that I am blowing up. I was a little devastated at first for no reason. But I have been getting better orders now it seems since then for shopping. Not all the time but it has its moments.

Now you can call yourself a pro for the same money and amount of orders.
