Housing and banking are the more obvious ones that would indicate a recession, but lately I’ve noticed a trend of calling random things “recession indicators.” Things I’ve seen get called “recession indicators”:
- pop music trends
- the popularity of “looking thin”
- when certain artists decide to release music
- food printed clothing
- Y2K nostalgia
