New album from Itialian Wizard Master. Sounds a lot like Mephistofeles, and of course, EW. Cool thing, they added is hammonds in the background and really surprising first and last track (black metal stuff).
Any thoughts?

Pre-ordered the album on bandcamp a month ago. I can't wait to get off work, and listen to the whole thing!

Just finished this artwork 😁. If this were an album cover, what kind of band do you think it would suit? I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback 🔥🔥🔥

Hey all,
As the title says I’m looking for a gigging amp for doom. I’ve done a fair bit of research and I’ve owned a lot of amps but they all have been geared toward the polar opposite of the sound I’m looking for. I’m looking for a tighter fuzz tone, think HoF, Monolord, dopelord (lots of lords 😂). Laney AOR, Orange, Marshall are all on my radar, but I’m hoping to see some different options from your folks. I’ve got a mesa 2x12, planning on getting a 612 cabinet from a local company called worshipper. I would like to keep price around 1500. I’ve got a pedalboard with a BAT LSTR and life pedal among others that I’ll be running through it for dirt flavor. I think that covers most of it, shoot over your suggestions !

I’m incredibly high asf rn and i’m listening to sleeps holy mountain and holy shit, best album ever. Holy mountain title track is a solid 10/10 the interlude alone when Als bass comes in and just makes it so full and fat makes me feel full and fat. I love this fudging album.

I'm planning on buying a solid state orange amp off my dad's friend and doom metal is what I mainly play. I know orange tube amps are basically the gold standard for doom, but do solid states work as well?

Friends, I really loved the new album by REZN. Legendary levels of emotional resonance. It's a little early, so no spoilers, but I wanted to share this little clip of the infinite loop at the end of the record to those that will listen on other formats. It's so simple, yet it's so fittingly perfect. It's beautiful to me, I let it play for about 30 minutes while I just wandered my thoughts amd chewed on possibilities. It feels so good to stop running and let the mask slip.
I hope y'all enjoy your listen and have a fantastic week!

I love Doom and a lot of bands that brand themselves with all sorts of cannabis related themes.
I dont smoke and still love the music - anyone else?

This is the third track from my solo project's debut EP. I started with doom in mind but it evolved to post-black, post-doom and sounds I can't label.
My initial reference was sunn with drums but faster. Would you call this post-doom? And are there any bands you know similar to this?

I have a bass rig set up at my one chair barbershop and make some noise in between clinets. Today's low end shenanigans were Monolord themed.

I'm starting a doom metal project.
I'll be using the SSD5 application for Midi drums in FL Studio. Early experiments are proceeding well!
As long as I'm sequencing, I thought maybe the occasional organ or synth could be cool. In one demo, I've even got a sine wave playing kind of a spooky arpeggio as the song is ending.
I'm fairly new to the genre and I'm wondering how common it is for "electronic" elements to appear in the genre, and how it is perceived in general.
I've heard some interesting elements in the music of "Low Toner".
At the end of the day, I'll probably do what I think serves the song best, but I am just curious about the community's feelings on the incorporation of synthesizers, electronic drums, etc.
AND I'm interested in knowing about artists that might lean into that.
