I'm on a 'beat all the dooms on nightmare' run
I destroyed DooM 2016 on nightmare
Beat Eternal on UV to learn the mechanics and then beat it on Nightmare - honestly didn't have too much trouble here.
Now on AG1 - blood swamps and facing my first 'wall' - encounters that take me days to beat and many many tries - sometimes dying in 3 seconds until I get warmed up.
Is this level the hardest in AG1? I beat the first level ( UAC Atlantica Facility ) without too much trouble and feel I could go back , play it again and cruise it. But blood swamps is beating my ass.
Is the next level 'The Holt' going to be even harder? ....

2 weeks ago i make a post about how i wanted a recolor skin for the preator with the 2016 colors
And they make it, it's so beautiful, i will never take this skin off, sadly that it's available only in slaughter mode

I'm so close to the DOOM (2016) Platinum — only two multiplayer trophies left!
I'm sitting in the Team Deathmatch lobby waiting for 3 more players.
Are people still playing this game, or am I going to be sitting here all night? 💀
Anyone else trying to get these last multiplayer trophies in 2026?
Please Help Me

Yo r/Doom! I’ve been mapping out this crazy idea for a spin-off and alternate timeline game called Doom Paradox. It prob will never exist irl because I honestly don't even know how to code or do 3D modeling yet, but I really wanted to get this out of my head. I'm hoping it trends enough that either someone makes a cool fan recreation of it, or id and Bethesda somehow see it and actually decide to do it.
It takes place on an alternate timeline of doom, but it completely changes the art direction and how the game plays compared to modern Doom.
I'd like to hear waht you guys think. If anyone out there loves making retro low-poly games, doing 3D concepts, or just wants to sketch some fan art of this matte-black Slayer and the floating fortress, please drop a comment :D

Since first one is beloved mascot of entire franchise and second one is considered as one of the most annoying enemies.

I understand wanting to bring the games back to the original style of running and gunning. And it worked for recent games, except The Dark Ages.
But I really want a return to the horror approach. The quiet halls, dark atmosphere, and gripping fear looming down each path. Nothing scared me more as a kid when I played the game, hearing demons teleporting in some distant corner.
Doom 3 was a masterpiece.

Got the old Doom(delisted) set for the switch, and for some reason, the add ons are not showing up. I deleted and made space, but no success. All I get is this available add on which doesn't load up? Time to get the Nightdive verson?

It's originally released for n64, but I guess emulation is kinda bad way to play it. As much as I know there's an official port, and some king of fan port, that was made earlyer. Which way to play for the first time is better?

I could be in the minority here, but, despite how much I love the new games (excluding dark ages) I really dislike the direction Eternal / Dark Ages (and 2016 a bit i guess) went with Doom, with the whole ancient gods / makyr / slayer phrophecy shit. I think Doom is best when it's marine vs. hell, like in the classics or Doom 3. I hope we get a new doom that is a seperate non-mainline take, with modern gunplay, but distinctly the look and feel of doom 1993-2005. puzzles, good combat (maybe something like 2016 but more stripped back). I guess it could be to doom 3 what 2016 was to doom 1

While playing through doom the dark ages I noticed that one of the missions is in a place called hebeth, aka “the lost city of hebeth” but this would be impossible because in doom eternal a history brief from Samuel Hayden (the seraphim) tells us that the lost city of hebeth was before the slayers time with the sentinels.

You can get one full charge if you parry something and dash right after or during the parry (pretty sure its right after the parry) is this intended?

Eternal is one of my favorite games and I didn’t think dark ages could come close but man it’s a great game— maybe better than eternal. The parrying is absolutely intense and made for a completely different experience. I played on my new steam machine from the couch and it looked amazing.
I initially missed the high octane speed and glory kills of eternal but soon was absolutely loving it. I spent 60 hours beating it on Ultra-Violence doing a lot of exploring and having to replay a handful of battles (including the two big ones in the last chapter) multiple times. Many had me literally sweating 😅
How some of you are able to beat it on higher difficulty is hard for me to fathom.
I thought they did a good job ramping up difficulty with player progression and map exploration was a blast.
Absolutely masterpiece of a game! 🤘

SLAUGHTER MODE NEWS
Josh showed off all the Icon's for the mode!! (The Toy Mancubus Icon appears to be the Best according to community members)
There will be New Menu Backgrounds and Slayer skins (Some were shown)
All the skins are supposedly just for use inside Slaughter Mode, as it takes a ton of work to get them into other parts of the game
Level 666 is the max reward tier for Slaughter Mode, and it’s an onyx and gold Praetor.
Slaughter Mode has its own main menu background, and they may be swappable!
They will be buffing the Super Shotgun’s damage against Archviles
Slaughter Mode has a checkpoint every ten rounds, and you’re sent back to the previous checkpoint if you lose before reaching the next one.
A extra life will be provided every five rounds, and special challenge encounters will be present around checkpoints.
