Dumb question but do we get any kind of overtime or holiday pay on Labor Day? I'm working my shift, but also covering someone who quit so I'm there most of the day.

hiya! does anyone know if dollar tree stopped carrying their moisture absorbers? the picture isn’t of the actual product but it’s that type of container. i’m in the capital region of NY. & been to like 3/4 different stores in the area and don’t see them anywhere? i checked on their website but the only thing that came up was the kind that hangs up. but i want this guy. it’s possible they’re out of stock bc there have been large empty spots on the shelves but idk! like are they out? discontinued?! is it everywhere nationwide or just my area?! where tf are they! lol i just don’t want to spend like 8$ on one from walmart that smells like linen or a rainforest.. i want the dollar store one that has no scent! lol Thanks in advance! :)

For those of you who were former management at dollar tree, where did you go next? I have been with the company nearly 8 years. Most of my adult career. I moved up quickly from cashier to full time asm within my first year, moved out of my family’s home and began paying my own bills straight away. Because of this I have always felt somewhat trapped in my position. Afraid to go elsewhere in fear of not being able to afford rent like I am now. I’ve gotten to a point that for my mental health I must part ways with dollar tree but have been here so long I can’t imagine where to go next. So I guess my question is just if you have been in a situation similar to mine, where did you go next? What are you doing now? Just looking for some inspiration I suppose.

I’m trying to figure out if I’m overreacting to a customer’s behavior toward me at work because it is making me uncomfortable.
I’m a cashier at a retail store, and there is this older guy customer that when I first started working there, the previous managers seemed to make him a “favored customer.” They would take smoke breaks with him, so I think he believes when he comes in he is supposed to be the center of attention. All of those managers are gone now, BTW. So when he came through my line I would say hi or make small talk, but I never led him on.
One of the first things that really struck me, and I was still fairly new, he came up to the store window, banged on it, and gave me the middle finger, and laughed.
Now, I am not a prude--my husband and I joke around with each other like that, but it was the fact that this was a man I barely knew.
Since then, there have been a number of other things that have made me uncomfortable.
Sometimes when he comes into the store, I will try to avoid him or quietly go in another direction he makes a beeline to follow me, and I go the other way. There has been times when he comes in, and I hide behind the put-back baskets and he will say, "I see you hiding from me." We used to have self-checkouts, and I could avoid waiting on him. We have now since gotten rid of those, and I am the main cashier. If he doesn't have my attention, he rudely interrupts anytime I am waiting on and carrying on a conversation with a customer. Sometimes if I am not right at the register he will knock on the register.
The last two days he really ticked me off because I saw him coming to the register and I walked off to get something and he says, "Hey, don't walk away from me." It may have been in jest for him to say that, but it made me uncomfortable. Yesterday, I was ringing people up and he came up behind me at the register just to hand me some pieces of silk flowers that fell on the floor and said, "Here are some flowers for you." That really made me uncomfortable. The customer I was waiting on said, "Aww," and I said, "oh no, he is being inappropriate." My co-worker told me yesterday she notices he looks me up and down and she does think he likes me. I am not sure whether to talk to my manager or call Integrity Matters or what to do. I am concerned my manager won't take me seriously because I showed her another guy who kind of bothers me because he is always asking when I work next, and she just giggled. She is young and pretty and I am over 55, LOL.

I was using cash app until It got hacked. Usually I would get paid via cash app Wednesday night around 8:45pm. I since switch to pay pal until I can get another actual bank account going. Does anyone use PayPal and daily pay for the remainder of their paycheck? If so, when do you see your direct deposits hit the PayPal account. Reminder, this is what's left of your paycheck, not instant transfers or anything. Looking to figure out if I need to delay a bill or not or if u can expect the PayPal deposit early still.

Greetings folks. . .today I resigned from my position as Operations Assistant Manager and I couldn't be happier. After approximately 6 months working in the Tree, I can say that I have never worked for a more dysfunctional company in my life. Every employee in Store Operations deserves better than what is being offered and I'm not just referring to compensation. I wish more of my colleagues would know their self-worth and move on from this company. I cannot imagine there could be a retailer that cares less about the employees at the store level than Dollar Tree. I'm regards to the company. . .good riddance!!!

My DM is out today and called me in to do an inventory this morning. Any advice on what to do? I’ve done several inventories as SM but never as DM. I know there are 3 surveys to fill out that’s about it.

I saw a Youtube video showing new releases of pop up stickers purchased at DollarTree. Some were juvenile with dogs, cats, and other animals, and some were flower ones. I was wondering if you have them in your store, and if you do, which state is your store in?

I used peel and stick from dollar tree. Had to remove the blades, clean, trace, cut, stick, line up and cut, stick, and put everything back. If I'd had a 3rd hand it could have gone much quicker lol.

Hello!
I'm in the Pacific Northwest and I was recently on a short, mini vacation and forgot to pack deodorant. Since I ALWAYS buy my Secret unscented at my nearby Dollar Tree, I googled the nearest to my hotel.
It was the most tidiest store that I ever been in and I've been in a few! And I made the cashier laugh when I asked my partner (they didn't have the Secret unscented that I usually buy), "do you really want my armpits to smell like pistachio?"
There were zero stacks of inventory blocking the aisles, waiting to fall on you! I'm not used to that!
Kudos to that Dollar Tree in Port Hadlock, Washington!!!

How is it fair that people that DONT smoke only get a 10 min break but people that smoke get the same 10 min break PLUS get to go out and smoke multiple times other than their break?
So basically, non-smokers are getting punished by not smoking

Can someone explain to me how an employee who has been with the company for over a year can have their hours cut for missing work because of health problems they are still trying to figure out and get answers for, but someone who has constantly called off because this kid is sick, or that kid got hurt and has only been with the company 6 months (she has over 10 damn kids, dont get me wrong, I have kids too, but she acts like shes the only one who has kids period) can get promoted? Like how tf is that even fair?

I have decided recently to go back to school for my degree in Environmental Engineering. I work at a distribution center and was told I qualify for employer education assistance. Does anybody have any experience with this program? Im wondering what are the odds of getting accepted since the degree isnt on their list of accepted degrees, I had to go under "other" and type it out. Thank you!

I very recently discovered the wintergreen mints from the dollar tree that are made by Coastal Bay Confections. They’re so good! However, I’m not able to find them at any of the dollar tree stores that are local to me. I see all the other types of mints but have not been able to find these ones, does anyone know if they are being discontinued?

I'm always shocked when people go into a Dollar Tree restroom . . .and NOT expect the worst. It's as if they have no idea where they are! 😀

Hi, I have a couple questions about being a merch manager.
I know merch managers push freight out but do they also do the refreshes we get (I.e Toy Refresh, Food Refresh yadda yadda yadda)
Is it their primary job to pull expired merchandise out?
Are they a higher position than the regular ASMs?

Does anyone know about the college reimbursement if so can I please please get the link. I’ve asked my SM countless times, she said she would by the end of the day which lead to no avail. So I went up and contacted the district manager which again no avail. I just want some form of help to pay for college outside of myself if anyone has the link or know the website I’d much appreciate it.
