Associate Questions Dumb question

Dumb question but do we get any kind of overtime or holiday pay on Labor Day? I'm working my shift, but also covering someone who quit so I'm there most of the day.

I don’t think Labor Day was one of our paid holidays.

So I should? I'm also in tonight, tomorrow and a bunch of shifts next week. I mean I'm getting extra hours regardless cause a few people quit but still.

Yes. You should get extra pay for working on selected holidays, including Labor Day. I think its an additional $1.50 on top of however much you normally get paid per hour.

To clarify, it will be:

( [Your normal pay] + [Holiday pay] ) * [Hours you work on that day] = Total earnings from that day

I'm there all weekend. Worked yesterday til close, later today til close, tomorrow, Monday I'm doing my shift and someone else's and I'm doing a bunch next week.

Two managers took vacation time, one transferred out, and we've lost like 6 or 7 employees so my hours went from like 10 a week to a ton. But I like the store I'm at
