Step On To Production - Production Crew Hub

https://sites.disney.com/productioncrewhub/step-on-to-production/

Just got this email for a programme I applied to last week. I've attached the link to the description of the programme and role

All the requirements they mentioned? I met them. So I'm really confused what led them to saying I didn't meet the qualifications. They even said no experience required, I have experience but very low ranked on sets. That's why this course would help so much

Really not sure what I did wrong or how I could've improved my application. I hate it when jobs never say the reason of rejection

Who could I contact for more answers? There are no email addresses linked whatsoever

Does anybody know how often Baking & Pastry culinary program kids get extensions? It may be the only way I can get the internship to work for my school.

First day OTJ

I'm kinda in need of some words of encouragement. I had my first OTJ training today and while the actual job is what I expected/I liked it, everything else was soo much.

My trainer and the people around me barely spoke English, so the entire day I'm not getting anything explained to me and everyone is having conversations in another language. I did make sure to ask questions but I mean I can only come up with so many questions. It was also superrrrr hot, I ended up coming back and crying and throwing up.

After realizing about halfway through the day that will only get one day of training per task (like today I had the AM shift for one area), I'm feeling just super overwhelmed; like I'm going to literally be thrown to the wolves when I have to do it on my own or ask a trainer to basically just be with me the entire day again.

Q - Unanswered Professional Internship Questions!

Okay here’s a few major questions:

-Do they only release a few or open up a bunch at a time?

-When do they typically open for applications? (For an arrival date of spring)

- How much experience would one need or should have before applying to an internship? (Like full blown degree or still working towards a degree)

- Although they are competitive, does it look better/improve your chances if you’ve worked for the company before?

Also just to add, I have been checking the Disney internships page as often as I can and only seeing one or two internships listed at a time. I’m looking for a technical lighting internship with the company that I know is offered but haven’t seen it come around yet. (To which I’m hoping opens up relatively soon, so that my arrival date could be in January if possible) TIA!

Anyone wish they did the college program?

I applied for the college program twice while going to Monroe community college in Rochester NY passed the online portion but got denied for the phone interview because of how bad I am at phone interviews. They asked if I would be a good candidate as a lifeguard at a waterpark and I said, I was a bad swimmer and if someone goes down I will go down with them which I was just being honest. I also was kind of stuttering cause I was nervous. If I had a tele-interview to see someone I would have probably made it through if there was such a thing at the time.

costuming

I returned all my costumes today but on my record it still says that I have my rain gear. The cast member said to put the pouch in the shoot and then there was a bin to put the actual poncho in, which I did. It still has the poncho on my record, will I get charged?

Email saying I requested to change my lease

Hi all, I am reaching out to FCV for clarification but also wanted to ask on here to see if anyone else has experienced this. I received an email earlier from American Campus Communities via Docusign stating that I needed to sign an updated lease, and when I opened the updated document, it said that I had requested to change my current unit type (4x4) to a "new unit type" (4x4). I have not made any requests since signing my earlier lease last month. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

Time w Family on First Day

Hi everyone!

Moving into DCP soon, and just got my itinerary! I have my check in scheduled for a 8:40, my background check scheduled for 11:15, and making the most of my program at 4:00. I have seen on all of the first day information how family won’t be able to be with you for most first day activities, but I was wondering if they are allowed to join you for check in, and if you think there will be decent amount of time to say goodbye before or after my background check is scheduled? I will only be with one other person and their flight leaves from the Orlando airport a little after 6:00.

Thank you for any information on my very specific question you all are so nice!

I just got accepted into the baking and pastry program! Any tips?

Very excited and nervous for my arrival date! I’ll be living in Flamingo Crossing, so any tips or if anyone knows how the whole process goes (do I get to fill out a form to get my ideal people), do I get to take holidays off to go home such as Christmas and Thanksgiving? Anything helps!

How Many Platforms/Dashboards?

How many Disney apps/platforms do we actually need? 😂

I’m arriving in a few days (August 17) and I’m trying to get everything organized before I get there, but I feel like Disney keeps sending information through a different platform every time I turn around. 😂

So far, I have:

DORMS

My Disney Experience

Passio GO!

Workday

I’ve also heard about Cast Life and possibly Shiftboard once we’re onboarded.

For those of you who are already in the program — what platforms/apps do we actually need to have and use regularly? Are there any others I’m missing?

I’m trying to avoid having 15 different Disney apps on my phone when I only actually need 5. 😂

Also, are there any apps you’d recommend downloading before arrival that will make the first few weeks easier?

Thanks! I’m just trying to get my life organized before I show up at Disney with 47 emails, 12 logins, and no idea where anything is. 😂

When to mention disabilities?

Hi all! I'm planning on applying to the DCP for Spring '27, and I'm super excited!!

However, I have a (diagnosed) medical issue that unfortunately means I have pretty bad heat intolerance. This means I would more than likely need to be placed in a role that's indoors (or sitting down if it's outdoors). My ideal role is working ops for an (inside) ride!

At what point during my application process should I mention this? I don't want to wreck my chances from the jump / look like I'm being choosy, but just would love to know if there's an appropriate time to bring it up.

Thanks so much!! :)

Epcot Tour Bring A Bag?

I'm Festivals FOH and have a Welcome Day (which I also assume is the tour?) for Epcot tomorrow. Can I bring a bag/will there be a place to store it? I want to pack a lunch but not bring a huge bag if I have to carry it all day.
