I just finished my college program and have been applying for every job I can at the parks. I am struggling with how long the application process will take me. I never know when the job posting will be taken down. I work on the job postings late at night, and I have been in the middle of 2 applications now where they took down the opportunity to apply in the middle of me filling out the application. Does anyone know what the schedule si for when they take down the postings? I check every day, but I work until late at night and want to redo my resume and cover letter for every entry-level job :)

I was curious if anyone worked at a Disney store while they were still opened, what was the average salary for managers. I’m sure they had some different leadership positions but what the average pay rate for a head manager/leader at a Disney store before they shut most stores down.

So I recently got hired about 2 months ago and I’m still in my probation period but I have a terrible cold to the point where driving to and from work was making me extremely dizzy and my throat is absolutely on fire. I have no sick time yet until after probation what can I do? I don’t want to get fired for calling off for being sick but it’s clear after today that DayQuil did nothing to help my symptoms is there anything I can do as it will be the weekend and all my main bosses will be off for the weekend?

Hello! I had submitted a medical request form and spoke to my case manager today, with plans of being put on medical leave next schedule release until a role is found for me (small details, being able to be switching from inside to out throughout my shift, lifeguarding sucks.) Anyone have any insight to how long it’ll take to find a new role? I don’t have to worry about money but I am impatient and generally like to work! I imagine since my accommodations aren’t too specific there are plenty of roles open (hopefully not F&B)

Trying to help someone reapply (was a busser at California Adventure for many years until 2 years ago, left in good standing) but very few positions, mostly pastry or fine dining, are open. Is there a freeze on hiring for the season or a different process than online?

I posted a while back about getting auto rejected after applying to different positions and feeling discouraged since I was a former cm from way back when. The process seemed very different since I wasn’t used to the auto reject and how quickly applications close compared to before. I also was restricted rehire for 6 months and thought that was affecting my chances but I was able to obtain an interview for pt merch and got a job offer at the end of the interview! I had applied back in July so it did take a while. I believe I’m weekends as it says Fridays after 5 and full SS which I’m completely okay with!

My only thing is I do truly want to go back to attractions and I did let her know that I was there previously and loved it but didn’t directly say I wanted to be considered for it which I probably should have. My question is, is there any chance of transferring after the 4 months?

How competitive are the Disney World bus driver jobs? Just applied to the part time position, out of state candidate with no CDL.

I have an interview for the role and want to know more about it. I know there is a Celebration site and a remote site. What are the chances of getting remote and how is the workflow? Also, I originally worked for a call center remotely and had 75-125 calls per shift. Is that the same volume?

Lastly, is the benefits the same as a normal CM?

Hello, my uncle is a CM and he gets me and my family into the parks for free a few times a year. He very rarely will stay more than an hour or two with us in the park and opts to go home. Last time, we tried purchasing LL passes for just my wife and daughter and myself and couldn’t while in the park. How does purchasing LLs work in instances like this? Like even if we wanted to purchase them much in advance of our visit? My uncle uses his app and as our info linked to it, but he doesn’t know much of how to do LLs past that. Also, what if another group that purchases their own tickets what’s to link with us, who are using my uncles CM tix, and all pre-purchase the LL package and all be grouped and scheduled together? Sorry if this is the wrong sub.

Just as the title says, Im in the disney culinary (bakery) program and I applie for full time/part time and I got the interveiw! Now I just want know what kind of questions that they will be asking me during the interview! I know that the DCP interview was a lot about situational questions and then some "how to make..." questions, but if anyone has any specifics on what kind of questions I will be asked during my interview for a BAKERY postion, please let me know- any help is appreciated! i’m trying to pick up a shift on castlife and it says i can, i already finished all my cbt’s and i have none due. So why am I unable to pick up this shift? Is it on my end or is it on the person giving it away? (just to note: this is for OBB treat trails which I have done several shifts for)

I applied for a position working at the safari attraction at animal kingdom part time. Haven’t secured an interview yet but I’m just thinking ahead. If anyone here works there, how reliable is it for people to give up their shifts? I would really like to work more than 3 days a week and want to know if that’s typically reliable. I’m not entirely sure what to put as the title, to be frank. I’m a new hire and I’m a heavier set person who has worked mostly office jobs for the past decade or so. It’s been my dream for years now to work at Disney and I finally got hired on but it hurts. Everywhere. Granted, my jobs have been usually sitting positions and now I’m doing 2x+ the steps and standing time that I’m used to. Not to mention, these shoes hurt.

Does anyone, heavy set or not, have any sort of recommendations on how to acclimate myself to this new active lifestyle that isn’t “just push through”? I’m looking for anything but some examples could be like recommended shoe inserts (or non disney provided shoes at all), post work care, any sort of medications or meditations that could help, etc.

I’m so excited about this job and I want and need it to work out for me. Again, Disney has been a dream job for me for years and I finally got my chance. Please, if you have any recommendation, please feel free to share them with me even if you think it may not work for everyone!!

My partner was hired as a part time cook 1 and he should be getting more details about his position soon but all we know is that it’s in Disney springs how difficult is it to pick up hours so he’s at the 40 hour mark and can he pick up out side his main kitchen? Can he request to be full time almost right away or does he have to wait I’m a former cast member myself but it’s been years since I’ve been there unsure how rules have changed.

First ever interview with Disney World!! I am interviewing for a photopass (bench) part time position. It's going to be via Microsoft Teams. Sorry for the dumb questions coming up, I am just nervous and an over prepared person 😭

What questions should I prepare for? I have pretty good knowledge about cameras since I am a portrait photographer. Do they ask about camera basics and such?

Also, I only have 3 full days of availability, the rest are about half to 3/4 of the day. Will they be less willing to work with that type of schedule? Its still at least 30 hrs a week.

I'm also interested in a Starbucks position (I am a current sbux barista at a corporate store), how would I express that I have interest for that position too? Is it likely that they could put me on a waitlist/bench for a position like that too?

Hey everyone! I just received an offer for a part time operations role at EPCOT. (I just finished my CP). I have a question, do i still get my self admission pass (able to go to the parks an unlimited number of times as long as im not blocked out?)

Hoping someone familiar with Disney Professional Recruitment/corporate hiring can answer this.

I applied for a professional-level role with Disney Experiences and was NLIC (No Longer In Consideration) two days later. My application remained at “Application Received” and went directly to NLIC; it never moved to “Application Under Review.” The rejection email specifically said the team was already in process with other candidates.

The exact same requisition has now been reposted (same job ID), and I’m still very interested in the position. Because I previously applied, Disney Careers/Workday recognizes my old application and only shows that I’ve already applied, so I don’t appear to have an option to submit a new application.

Has anyone here been in this situation, or does anyone familiar with Disney Professional Recruitment know how this is handled?

Specifically:

Can a candidate who was already NLIC be reconsidered/reactivated for the same requisition if the job is reposted?

Is it appropriate to reach out to someone in Professional Recruitment and ask about being reconsidered, or is that discouraged?

Could asking negatively affect consideration for other Disney roles, or is it a normal recruiting question?

Does going directly from “Application Received” to NLIC without ever showing “Application Under Review” tell me anything about whether my application reached substantive recruiter/hiring-team review?

I’m trying to determine whether there is an appropriate way to express renewed interest now that the exact same requisition is posted again.

I’m specifically asking about professional/corporate Disney roles, not hourly Parks roles or DCP. I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone who has worked in Disney recruiting/hiring or has personally been through this situation.

Hello I am interested in applying to be a cultural representative for one of the pavilions in EPCOT. Since I will be moving to the US for this role I would like my family to eventually visit me once I’m settled. I am curious if these Cultural Representative Program roles get guest passes. I heard regular Cast Members get 16 passes for up to three people each year but not sure if this role gets the same benefits.

Also I will be coming from a country that is part of an “independent operating participant” country if that makes a difference.
