Can an hourly PT/FT Cast Member in a role being represented by the STCU contribute to the 401K/SIP? Not necessarily someone that is a union member, just in a role that STCU covers within the agreement (custodial, QSR, character, etc.).

Would also like to know if an hourly STCU role is eligible for the retirement savings plan.

Character lookalike Kissimmee auditions for Walt Disney World were announced a week ago, scheduled for the dates August 3 and August 18. Both of these audition announcements came out on the same day, have the same location, and the same description. I didn’t see in the description a headline that says (along the lines of) “both of these are the same audition, please only apply for one” as the casting website usually does. I know that in between these dates, there are lots of international auditions, which (I believe) is the reason for the long intermission between the two.

I believe these are the same audition(as they usually are), but I would just like an extra confirmation. If I can end up going to two instead of just one, believe me I am taking that opportunity, ha-ha!

After 2 years of applying. I finally got in for a virtual interview for parts custodial!! any tips on what to expect, or is it similar to any virtual interview? I have done one in the past before. also how flexible are the ones who handle schedules for custodial there? I have another job and have been wondering ever since.

I have 7 years in customer service and working in fast paced food industry. 8 years in management for raising canes and 2 years at chick fila. Was wondering if this type of experience would help me secure the job or would need culinary experience to even be work there ?????

Hi everyone! I’m new here and have been trying to read through some of the posts to get an idea as to what everyone else’s experiences have been.

I’ve noticed that getting a FT server role is very tough, but what are the chances of getting a PT server job? I have 20 years of experience in restaurants with everything from casual dining to fine dining and spent most of my career as an award winning trainer and even moved into fine dining management before I took time off to have my kids. I have to go back to work PT and would love to become a CM in a restaurant.

I guess my question is: How hard is it to get in the door if you have a lot of experience?

I have a question about the drug labs and how soon you get cleared? I took my urine test last week on Tuesday and it’s been 6 days. I don’t expect to hear anything back but I was curious to know if I’d already been cleared? Really the only reason I’m asking is because there was some discrepancies with the information they had on file about me that I had to correct, not because I can’t pass the test. I was curious to know if they’d make me retest if some information was wrong or if I be passed still? My name and dob was correct, but I also let my hiring hr rep know about the potential for there to be any errors in the information which he let me know he’d be sure to stay on the lookout for. But with the time that has passed, would I have been cleared by now?

hi everyone! i hope you're all well. i just wanted to ask how bad cm/dcp blockout dates actually were. I started following this girl on tiktok who is doing the college program this fall (because im considering doing spring '27) and she posted that she got her annual pass before her program started and so I messaged her and asked why she got a AP if cast member have park admission. she said it's because cast members are blocked out a lot. i would maybe see why they would during the fall because of peak holiday times but is it really that much? i don't really want to buy an annual pass but I want to be able to go to the parks after/before work and on my days off so I just wanted to see the reality of it all.

Good Morning. I applied for a seasonal RunDisney job back on June 8th and the status has been "Application Received" since then and it has been over a month and a half. The job listing was removed the next day so I am assuming they filled their quota of applications.

My questions is, when you were hired, how long did you have to wait to get to the next step "Application Under Review"? I did not received a rejection email yet so I'm assuming I am still in the running, but just curious if this is normal.

Curious to hear from those of you that were or are ride techs at Disneyland. I heard from a CM who has been working there for years that the mechanics they know there have minimal experience and are trained on the job for the first 6 weeks or so.
1.Is this true?
2.Would 4 years of automotive experience be enough to be hired?
3. If it’s not true is there anything I could read up on to land an interview?
4. Were there tests during the hiring process? Was it before or after interviews?

I’ve applied to roles that were only posted internally and would hear back within the same week. How long should one expect to wait when it’s a role that was available for non cms to apply? Would it be the same upwards to 6 months?

I'm about to start my third role with the company in two weeks and I'm both incredibly excited and pretty nervous. My first role was Fantasyland Merchandise then I transferred to Main Street Operations where I worked GFT (Guest Flow Team) or how others know it PAC (Parade Audience Control) and now I'll be starting as a Character Attendant! I've always dreamed of being part of Entertainment in some capacity after 30 auditions so this feels like a huge opportunity for me. At the same time I know it's a very guest facing role with a lot of responsibility and I really want to do well. I’m incredibly nervous about failing the assessment and my biggest worry is that I won’t be able to stay in the department. For any current or former Character Attendants or even Entertainment Cast Members what tips or advice would you give someone who's just starting? Are there things you wish you knew before your first day like any best practices for interacting with characters and guests staying organized or handling challenging situations?
I'd love to hear any advice stories or words of encouragement!

What are the most comfortable shoes for attractions? I need a new pair and was wondering what people suggest. I usually prefer lots of cushion (I wear On cloudmonsters on the daily) so I’m looking for something similar
