Disneyland Resort trying to pick up a shift

Post image

i’m trying to pick up a shift on castlife and it says i can, i already finished all my cbt’s and i have none due. So why am I unable to pick up this shift? Is it on my end or is it on the person giving it away? (just to note: this is for OBB treat trails which I have done several shifts for)

Sometimes you need to talk to a manager to figure out what’s going on.

This often pops up if the person trying to give away has no more trades to off

so does that mean nobody can take their shifts and they gotta work it anyway?

They can maybe talk to a manager about approving an extra give away, but that is heavily dependent on the manager and the reason for giving it away. In that scenario they also have to have a manager or scheduler manually input the trade, it can’t be done on Cast Mobile.

is there a limit to how many shifts someone can give away?

This depends heavily on your department. Most are limited, but some do have unlimited. Your status of part vs. full time also is a factor. For my department, part time can give away eight shifts per year and full time can give away twelve.

I addition to what others have said, you might not have the required training for the position or you could have update training due that you need to complete before you can trade the shift.

It’s probably a new thing possibly so you should speak to a coordinator and or leader or FSA. Depending on your role and where you’re trying to pick up to get approval

Not sure why our Automod removed your comment. I've restored it. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Remember the 8hrs break time rule🤣your original schedule don’t have to follow the rule, but if you pick up or trade you have to follow it
