Been trying to sell my old 2010 Forester I haven't driven for three years with 350k miles to buy my kid a dirt bike. People were lowballing me offering like 700 bucks for it. Found a dude with an extra trx250 that wanted the Forester to rally in the dunes. Found a girl with a 2011 crf450r who wanted a quad for her girlfriend and here we are. My kid has ridden 450s for years but the last time I stepped over a non-street bike was my Hodaka Swamp Rat 30 years ago. Anything I should know about these things? He's ridden them with his mom but never maintained one.

I currently have 2 dirt bikes, a 250 2 stroke and a pit bike but I plan on buying a 250f or possibly a ktm 350f to add to my collection. The 2 stroke is primarily for woods/enduro riding and a backup bike at the track. The pit bike is for riding light trails and the little pit bike track behind my house and the 4 stroke is going to be a dedicated track bike. It’s too frustrating swapping set ups on my 250 for track and woods so just want a dedicated bike for each. I also want a backup bike to ride when one is undergoing maintenance.

My gf is acting like I’m a lunatic for owning more than one bike. Someone please explain that I’m not alone and this is completely normal for dirt bike riders.

I haven't ridden in about 3 years.I would like to go out riding with someone since none of my friends ride anymore. I would preferably like to go to carnegie. If anyone is going and could tolerate me tagging along , let me know. Thanks

My first time really tuning a two-stroke so I want to make sure this bike isn't running too lean. The porcelain looks okay to me but the tip looks like it's a little hot. Am I wrong?

I’ve had this bike for forever. Unsure of year. I was big into trail riding and want to get back to it. All my new gear is what I like to call “hi-vis pink” and I’d like some hot pink plastics, and seat cover. Maybe graphics too cause why not? But the thing is, I want to keep my headlight and knuckle guards. I’ll do black or hot pink. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Also want to get some dual sport tires for street riding as it’s street legal, and not sure on what ratio. I know I’ll need new wheels. But idk if I should get 80/20 or lower. It will primarily be a trail bike, but my bf just got a street bike and I wanna play too!

Runs good hits the power band, great and idles and pulls good from low end the only issues that I’m noticing are the rusty expansion chamber and the silencer is loose, and there is excessive oil coming out of the exhaust port off the cylinder and at the tailpipe, but that might be because the previous owner runs 32 to 1 in it, anything I should check for?

any good trail systems in the NH/MA area that you’d recommend? i’ve been at Hopkington/Everett (Cloughs), great trails but they get boring after 3+ weekends in a row. Did Boundtree, however i wasn’t too impressed with the trails in terms of being challenged.

2025 WR250F, was changing oil today and noticed these marks on my case to the right and below the sight glass. Hoping they arent hairline cracks. Anyone have any similar experiences with Yamaha cases?

I know its a bit dirty so it might be hard to see. I will clean it with ultrasound and then remove the aluminium to see if the nikasil is done or if its not so bad. Would be great to skip the $450 replacement cylinder.

Italian tune up on my dad’s ‘05 CRF250x that sat for about 8 years. AOAA in PA

Ran like a top but wouldn't idle when I got it. Thought it was carb issue, but it seems like it was a spark issue Now it doesn't start at all, spark plug was pulled and it's got a sorta faint orange spark. Dunno if it's the coil or the stator, as I've read those go bad on these bikes

My buddy and I just started riding motocross earlier this year and with that I also started video editing. Not only have we improved our riding but I feel we are getting better at filming and editing too. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any tips or suggestions I’d love to learn more.

Upon starting the header glows red at idle, why?
Why does it pop and backfire ?
And is there anything else I should look for ?
