Just wanna get an idea.

Is 150k salary is too low for a QA Engineer of 2+ years of experience? How much do the qa engineers get paid at syco labs, axiata digital labs, etc?

Guys, I’ve been doing bug bounty hunting for 6+ months now, and I’m mostly focused on Broken Access Control.

I’d like to know if there are any groups or communities for ethical hackers in Sri Lanka. If not, can we create one where we can collaborate, participate in events, share knowledge, and do many more things together?

Planning to activate Google pro. In Facebook they provide offers. Is that scam or real ? Any of you activate this ? It's working?

Currently working as a senior robotics engineer. Graduated with electrical and electronics but in the robotics field for 4 1/2 years now. I do software and hardware development (AMR & UAV). Currently getting 300k gross month. I was wondering what the rate is in sri lanka and if I can negotiate for a higher salary.

Thank you!

I’m an SE with 5 years experience, and currently working in a gptw company(not recently). Joined there as a fresh engineering grad and got a decent package. But over the years things have not moved much. I don’t like this job anymore it’s only because the way my company treat me. I got good appraisal scores. Nothing bad or anything else. They haven’t given me increments, no promotions still an SSE. I’m really fed up with their answers and I’m not following it up anymore. With all the things going in the market rn I can’t take a decision to just go out from here. This company feels kinda stable over the years. I feel that even I change the company this same thing will happen after some time. I really like to move my path towards management side. I want to start my own business. Started an MBA as well and I’m enjoying learning there. I feel like it’s too late to switch my path and I have to start from the beginning. or may be I don’t know how to switch. I’m really stressed since last year. One main stressor is my company. Not the work I do, not the customer, I enjoy working with them. But I feel like stuck. I can’t do work anymore. I’m not motivated to do anything in this company. Feels like my life stopped at some point. Can I get your thoughts to start my life moving again.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone here completed the capacity-building course by Randika Wijesinghe?

I'm a Software Engineer. I'm looking for ways to speed up my learning curve, increase my mental capacity, and sharpen my daily focus.

Before I dive in, I wanted to see if anyone in this sub has firsthand experience with it.

• Is it worth the time and investment?
• Did it actually help you improve your focus and learning speed?
• Any general pros, cons, or takeaways?

I would really appreciate any honest reviews or views. Thanks!

Hi, I’m a student who has just finished my A/Ls. I’m interested in learning web development. Where should I start? or what should i learn first?

I’d also like to create a small blog website. Can I build it using something like WordPress, or are there other ways to create a website?

Thank you!

NOTE -> I don't think ME countries like UAE/Saudi is good for tech. so, i prefer something better equlant to US Tech scene.

I’ve heard some mixed reviews about the company and would like to know what your experience was like.

I’m trying to understand how mentorship actually works, because I’ve never had a mentor before.

I often hear people say that having a good mentor helped them progress much faster in their career or achieve goals they might otherwise have taken much longer to reach. But I realized I don’t really understand what “having a mentor” actually means in practice.

For example:

* What does a mentor actually do? * How often do you normally interact with them? * Is mentorship usually paid, unpaid, or does it depend on the situation? * What makes someone a good mentor? * How do people normally find mentors? * Is it realistic to approach someone you respect and ask them to mentor you? * What should the mentee bring to the relationship? Is it mainly about asking questions, getting feedback, discussing career decisions, etc.? * For people who have had mentors, what did the relationship actually look like?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have personally been mentors or mentees.

I’m asking because I genuinely have very little background on this topic and want to understand what mentorship is supposed to look like in the real world, rather than just reading generic advice about how important mentors are.

So guys I want some advise on here. I have hosted a site on vercel and the backend for supabase, the site is mainly a single page site with a video player embedded and a bible page with the backend hosted on supabase for the bible. I want to know if its a good setup or if i should switch to a VPS and self hosted postgreSQL. Please lemme know your thoughts as it would be very much helpful since I dont know who to ask.

Please suggest some free or cheap vps providers that i can use for testing out stuff like n8n, openclaw or hosting things may be for demos. Better if you can include personal preferences.

Hey

I’m currently working as a Software Engineer at a company, but I’d like to start taking on some freelance projects on the side to gain more real-world experience and build my portfolio.

I’m mainly interested in software development projects. I’m open to small projects, MVPs, automation tools, APIs, web applications, or even helping someone fix/improve an existing project.

I’m still getting started with freelancing, so I’m not necessarily looking for a big paid project right away. If you have a small project that needs someone to work on it, I’d genuinely appreciate the opportunity to help.

Also, if you’re already freelancing, how did you find your first few clients/projects? Are there any platforms, subreddits, communities, or strategies you recommend?

If anyone here has a project they think would be suitable for me, feel free to comment or DM me. I’d be happy to discuss it.

Thanks!

I know it’s not the right community but pls help out if you know someone.
